But the stadium needs to be paid for by someone, if, and it's a big if, the UWE is not feasible then Plan B needs to be either a redevelopment of the Mem, or a smaller stadium elsewhere we can actually afford to build. If the new owners weren't able or didn't want to fund a new stadium or mem redevelopment that they would have known was needed they shouldn't have bought the club. But they did buy us so presumably they are willing and can afford to. Why do you persist on making up negative nonsense when it's just as easy to make up positive nonsense?

It's not just the capacity or even number of seats. The place is a dump! You get soaked. The toilets are abysmal. It's old and cr4p. It may be but its our home and I love it , I also loved Eastville and Twerton would rather have a good old fashioned ground like those with a great atmosphere than some of the plastic palaces that are going up now , just hope we get the final plans correct and we have a stadium with atmosphere
By the way the new ground
One End called Eastville - with the Tote end in it Opposite end called Twerton One side called The memorial and the fourth open for discussion
Fourth stand - The Darrell Clarke stand

Or maybe the fourth stand could be called the Ashton gate stand we played a few home games there too ? I'll get my coat.

I'm sure many would not call it so bad, not when you remember Trumpton and it's always pi55 flooded bogs. I know I'm in the minority but it is our home right now and we are seeing improvements I think we will be at the mem awhile longer yet and the glorious glos road

The mem is a shithole, but it's OUR shithole The UWE will be superb and it will be OUR superb stadium. In the same way that if you rent a flat somewhere then it's YOUR flat?

Despite the Mem being a shithole I don't actually mind it. Problem is we will never properly progress while we're there.

The AQ's are investment bankers. I'd suggest it's not their money but they are the fixers who have found investors prepared to build (at a price). If this is correct, it doesn't matter whether they can or can't afford it. It won't be them paying for it.

We have been told by the board that the funding is in place for a new stadium does this mean the price has been agreed?? They mentioned this quite a few times .

The Mem is old and crap looking and the toilets smell but I can also stand which is great because I hate sitting, the atmosphere is better in the thatchers than most other league 1 stands, we're bloody brilliant at home and have been for years and I Dam love it , it's our fortress and if we can pick up more away wins next season then we'll win promotion. This why we need the stadium sorted as we will need more revenue streams to be consolidate in the Championship having said that money doesn't always equal a better team look at SL's 82ers 🤔

Denis Dunford Stand Tote End Popular Side Blackthorn End I would extend this to the conference facilities too, al Qadi suite, Ray Kendall restaurant, and most importantly of all, the Jon Paul Pittman (over the) bar.
