The question should be aimed at us not Nick Day! Wherever you are in the ground,if someone starts a song, join in (apart from that IRA song which is ****)!!! This isn't a time for going out with a whimper!!! Bring your best voices to The Mem!!! UTG!!! Exactly, god help us if we're at the stage where we need Nick Day to try an orchestrate an atmosphere!! Next you'll be wanting flags on seats, and bland franchise branded scarfs to wave around!!

slightly concerning these warnings in the media.... I do worry that there is a genuine concern about the consequences if we have further incidents.... I think the only genuine concern is from a few people on this thread!
The club will have to tow the line and put out the warnings etc, but I would imagine they know we're (or any other team for that matter) not going to lose any points over the matter.

I knew Paul from AEK-Boco where he had coached his boys team up to U16 when they then moved into adult football. Won many trophies over the years, and was always on hand to offer advice to us other coaches who didn't, and still don't know half as much as he did about coaching a boys football team.
Was a massive Gashead and last time I saw him was when we had a cracking day out at Wycombe, on one of those awaydays where the result of the football becomes irrelevant due to the laugh you've had during the day and night.
RIP Paul, and condolences to the rest of the family. UTG.

No surprise on the result. Would have been doom and gloom had Higgs still been in charge, now (it would appear) we don't need to give a toss, about this, or what OTIB have to say!!

Wasn't Radish spouting nonsense about this as well when the idea was first suggested, and trying to get it blocked?

The view from the posh boxes, and through a cider haze, it looked like a blatant dive, but happy to be proven wrong. I was almost level with it and it was a blatant dive. I hate diving, even when our own players do it. Ref got both dives nailed on IMO and both deserved a booking for the theatrics of it. The ref did miss a few things, notably when Brown got punched in the face in the scuffle towards the end but I thought Mansell got lucky with his 2 footed lunge, he got booked but that could have easily been a straight red . He also missed Ellis getting involved and taking a swing, but fortunately missing the target!

Anyone get a view on the McBurnie yellow? Looked like a clear Penalty to me - he didn't seem to have a reason to go down looking. The view from the posh boxes, and through a cider haze, it looked like a blatant dive, but happy to be proven wrong.

After all the years we've been playing at the Mem, it wasn't until last season that I had a pint in the bar on the ground floor under the Dri-Build stand!! Didn't know it existed until a mate said to meet him there. Same here. I didn't know until this thread. Where is the entrance? Walk behind the back of the stand, past all the smokers, and you'll see a doorway with a small ramp leading up to it. Open door, walk into 'secret' bar

Or you could join the Supporters Club and get your pint in the other bar, where here are hardly any queues? You can always bring your pint back into the non-Supporters Club bar to drink with your mates. what!? There's another bar that is for ''supporters club'' members only!? Where?? I'm stunned by this. I've been paying to watch Rovers for years so that makes me already in the bloody ''supporters club'' if you ask me! What a cheek!! What have you got to do to get access to this magical other bar with hardly any queue!!?? Whilst we don't want them going away with the points, I think we should embrace the fact that they are back at the Mem. Whilst getting relegated was grim, in hindsight it was the stepping stone to getting the Rovers back we know and love, and to be honest, who didn't have a right old laugh most of the time last season Think we should give Mr Daniels a rousing welcome (if he plays) for given us our Rovers back, and also it would annoy our red friend who think he's some kind of hero who we all hate. UTG!!

Surley we are BRISTOL Rovers and we shouldn't be looking to move to South Glos, after all the sh** we gave sh**ty when they were going to move to Ashton Vale and an access road wouuld have been in North Somerset. We gave them stick and said that we would be the only team in Bristol and now every one wants to rush out to South Glos. I am a proud Bristolian when we leave to go to South Glos we would have surrrender the City of Bristol to the Teds. We should hang our heads in shame when this happens. And the award from 'Most Overdramatic Post of the Year' goes to........^^^^^^^^

Which is a shame, everyone should have had the chance (at least once) to experience the massive explosion of emotion while stood on a packed terrace as a goal goes in, and then trying to figure out why your now stood 30ft from where you were before the goal went in, and then climbing back up the packed terrace to get back to your mates Then discovering that someone's watered down your leg, and getting home to find half a pie in your hood. And that was from just going to the bogs on a night game at Twerton, and trying to take a water in the pitch black as there was no lights! The pie was always a bonus

I think the mixture of all seater stadiums and the changing demographic of fans has combined to adversely affect the atmosphere at a lot of clubs.
I really feel sorry for younger fans that have never experienced footy on a packed terrace in the 70/80's. Absolutely incomparable to today's experience. You're right, the atmosphere at AG hasn't been good for a while. The last time I can remember a really exceptional atmosphere was our play off games against Palace a few years back.
Hopefully after the redevelopment is finished the singers will once again congregate in the same area. We do have a number of fans that make an effort to bring the atmosphere back, and Crystal Palace are a very good example of what can be achieved.
Thanks for not banning me after my first post. I managed to last a few years on the old Rovers forum, and even ended up making a few cyber fwends
Football has changed a lot since the 70s and 80s Kids won't know those days so won't miss it like the older fans do. Before long all grounds will be full of middle age people who have only known seats and the more "modern" atmosphere of today. Which is a shame, everyone should have had the chance (at least once) to experience the massive explosion of emotion while stood on a packed terrace as a goal goes in, and then trying to figure out why your now stood 30ft from where you were before the goal went in, and then climbing up the packed terrace to get back to your mates

We have seen a range of appointments on the commercial side Steve Hamer, Will Dubly, Lee Atkins etc. For me, this is gathering evidence of serious attention and investment. The club, in my lifetime, had a poor commercial side. Well meaning sometimes, but felt more like a part time operation - a good ametuer effort as opposed to a seriously slick outfit. These appointments mean little to me in some ways as I know knothing of the real reputations of them, or any inside track. One thing that strikes me is that this lot come across as proper business professionals, but overwhelmingly it feels that these dudes do not come cheap. This doesn't look like a team assembled on the cheap, it looks like some pretty good money has secured the services of these individuals. I'm really happy so far and hope that I am proved right. It's nice to see eloquent, intelligent people coming to join us.no disrespect to other club servants but if I was a gambling man, I'd wager our comercial management budget has at least quadrupled already.Somewhere along the line that's got to be paid for though as I doubt WAQ are going to treat us as a charity? Not sure we'll be quite so happy when season tickets/match day tickets jump up in price and replica shirts cost a tenner more next season? I just hoped me & the son aren't priced out of watching Rovers. Some one go round and cheer this bloke up, take him out for a pint or something. Why does everything need to be a 'downer' with you??? Edit: Season tickets frozen yet again. Best find something else to moan about

That's because you have to queue up twice for everything!!! Last May, Hot dog and chips please. You can get the hot dog here, but you'll need to walk down the concourse another 50yrds to that outlet over there to get your chips.........WHAT? Suly you arrive early and eat before - or leave late and eat after - who on earth wants to eat food in a fifteen minute break? You do realise you don't have to eat and drink everything (and go to the loo) in that 15 minute window??? Do you give yourself second degree burns of the mouth in an effort to finish a pastie before kick off as you can't possible eat or drink once the match has kicked off?

I actually relate to your caution. However, how is it worrying to consider who is paying new employees wages? Our owner is spending money. That is what they do. He is speculating to accumulate atm because our income streams are shocking. I'm assuming they are employed by BRFC not directly by WAQ so their wages will thier come out of Rovers bank account, if WAQ replenishing that on a month basis on well and good but I fear, like the 82er's, that come next year's Annual accounts we'll suddenly be another £10m in debt rather than debt free. We seem to be employing highly paid non playing employees daily but squad wise we haven't recruited one new player. Blimey, you could probably make a multi million pound lottery win seem like a bad thing!!!
