I was hoping for a 'normal' sponsorship deal for next season, but as others have mentioned, if it ain't broke, then why try to fix it. I would guess selling 90+ tickets at over £1200 a pop brings in far more than any sponsorship payment we could currently command??

More of the "I told you so" posters if it goes tits up ir sink back quietly in the background for a couple of weeks if it doesn't. First it was all Henbury in the know about the UWE and here we are he knew nothing or very little of any consequence. I really don't see Wael as the sort who will just give up and let us down. Amazes me that anyone would listen to Henbury after all the false dawns. Henbury is just like the Chimp on Twitter. Post enough crap, and eventually something happens near enough to what they said, for them to give it the 'big one', whilst forgetting the 99% of rubbish that didn't come close to being the truth.

If they were people would just complain about how we hear the same old and nothing new! Let them update us when there's something to update us on. suppose but I would of thought the recommendation of the training ground would of hit the website surely that's news? It's only been recommended. That's not news, news is when it's been given planning permission.

My main concern on Saturday, and for the last few matches to be honest, is our complete lack of ideas when going forward. All we seem to do at the moment is a lot of 'tippy tappy' football on the edge of the area, eventually get the ball to Lines, who then just floats a ball in that the centre backs clear for fun.
On Saturday that was all we did, and Lines tried the same thing it seemed every time. Can't remember him (or anyone else) trying to smash a low ball across the face of the goal net, or simply just varying the tactics when we were attacking.

where does it say he is no longer needed? Good point - it doesn't. Says he's stepping down! Maybe the ***** getting real in regard to the stadium, and knows he can't do both, so getting out to let someone else take over on that side of things??

Harrison might have done a bit better last night if he didn't go looking for a foul practically every time the ball came near him!

As someone who stands in the family enclosure with my son, and along side friends with their kids, I can't say I've heard any swearing coming from the enclosure. As you say though, the 'North Terrace' is only a stones throw away, and you can certainly hear what is going on in there!

PLUS that Rooney is a rampant sh*thead. (Gullable is not in the dictionary, Topper Gas) Gullible or not, unfortunately all what he has to say is backed up by info readily available on the internet. Let's see what the feasibility study brings, but Wael seems to be a millionaire rather than a billionaire. How ever much he's worth, so far he's pushing the club in the right direction. It may only be small steps at the moment, but it's better than going backwards, and I for one are not going to sweat over how many 000's he has on his bank balance.
Try having a positive outlook on football for once, you might enjoy it!!

I was planning on ditching Rovers to watch it, but my son wasn't having any of it, and wanted to watch the football instead.

Bit of a fatalistic sign off from Nick Day today - has he been given the bump? Said the same at half time. Some of his comments were a little strange!!

I don't even know who they're playing tomorrow, so fair play to them for knowing exactly who and what Wael is, and how the future of Rovers will pan out over the next few years, whilst the rest of us just have to wait and see what happens!!!

Time seems to be runniong out for any decent laon signings so you sense if we do sign anybody it'll be anothert two bench warmers. It'll be interesting tosee if DC can pull this season around again, or the doom merchants are finally proven right. You do realise it's still August?

So you back the introduction of U23/B teams in competitive lower league competitions? Genuine question. I back U23/B teams in the EFL Trophy as I think it is a good way for youngsters to experience football at a senior competitive level which I think may be important if we want to bring up a successful generation of young English players. I however do not support a league 3 competition, if that happens then lower league clubs will lose out you are right. I am not looking for an argument and respect your opinion also, In my mind the people that are introducing these new formats are not the evil, money driven people they are purported to be but are just looking at ways that will allow us to be a successful footballing country in the years to come. Someone's been brainwashed in to believing the corporate crap spouted by the EFL!!

I think young kids from Premiership/Championship like Roos and Roberts are OK for a loan, as they are hungry, however, I wouldn't loan someone like Simon Cox for instance. I think what is clear, Wael doesn't have the wealth we may have hoped for, and won't be spending money on transfer fees. That may change if we struggled this season, however. Make up your mind, so he doesn't have any money, but he might in fact be rich if we struggle?

It was loud up on the top tier.
It does get boring singing Goodnight Irene so many times though, and we were having a chat about the good old days at Twerton, both home and away where, you'd hardly sing the same song twice, let along 10 times in one match! Not sure what the answer is though as just seems to be the same 3 or 4 songs these days.
