They have a rain forest in Costa Rica, spent a night there once. I spent a couple of nights in the rain forest in Borneo in 2017, it didn't rain at all.

Is Wael at the Asian cup semi final, or at the Mem?

I would be livid I had travelled down from Fleetwood only for it to be called off.

Doesn't seem like the type of player to adapt in L1 but what do I know. He could turn out to be amazing Fingers crossed but I think you're right. We seem to get last minute babbers to warm the bench for a few months - when we're not signing 40 year old cripples to warm the physio bed. Maybe that's the cynic in me talking, but a bit of experience and a proven goal scorer would have been nice..! Still, maybe next year eh?! Are you any happier about him, now that he's played his first game?

It might have ended his career If he'd got a hand on it, don't think I've ever seen a sh** hit with such venom at this level. It was amazing the pace he got on it without much backlift.

Why wouldn't any club take advantage of the loan system, as how else are we going to get players of the quality of EA, Vale and BA? We need to keep developing our contacts so we have a steady supply of such talent. Yeovil Town reached the Championship with shed loads of loan players. That ended well.... 😉

Once upon a time we'd get loan players in and not play them. Now we get them in and give them a go. If you were a top club, who would you trust to look after your best talent? That's not true though is it, as we've had umpteen posts about how some loanees have been promised x number of games etc. Loan players will play if they are better than what we have. It is broadly true. There have been a couple of occasions where loan signings have been promised the first few (maybe 4) games, but after that they've needed to keep their place on merit.

Playoff nonsense again? A strong top half finish will be a good season. I predict 11th or 12th. I predict 8th. I think we’ll miss out by about 5 points. The rest of the season will be a lot better for me believing we'll do it, rather than believing we won't.

Collins hasn't been our best player this season and we won on Saturday without him. He needs to be replaced long term, but short term we have replaced him with loans. You never know, we might end up signing some of those loans for next season if they do well. We signed Thomas, Connolly and Taylor after they did well on loan and we brought back Bogarde, although he didn't do that will this time. Most clubs do this. Plymouth won the league last season with a lot of loan players. They signed two of them on permanents and brought another back on loan again. They turned down a high bid from Lazio for one of them a few days a go! It's hard to say if we are stronger or weaker after this window, until we see the players play. Daniel have you ever posted anything negative about the club? Every time you post something you make out everything is perfect at the club, even though we never seem to progress from being a mid to lower table L1 side. How many games have you seen live, not on iFollow, this season, perhaps if you spent money watching Rovers play you'd feel differently? Rovers have now effectively called this season over, like we seem to do most seasons around this time of the year. I don't agree, these signings show that we still hope to reach the play offs, and perhaps you should only pass judgement once give seen the new players play.

Let's all just see what happens before we start slating the new additions. Give them a bit of slack until we can physically see with our own eyes what they bring to the table. I'm a little disappointed but sh** happens and you never know it maybe turn out to be good for us! Just my humble opinion so please don't attack me in any replies! I don’t think it’s a case of slating the new signings as individuals. They all look good players but it’s merely sticking plasters to get us through a season which the club/owners have already written off. I doubt any of them will be back next season and we will be left with a huge rebuild - there doesn’t seem to be much long term planning or ambition. Very disappointing. Can I just point out that without loan signing Elliot Anderson we'd still be in League two.

Every manager who ever gives an opinion on it says that January is a hard window to make any permanent signings.
I think Azza had gone a far as he could with us and had lost his spark, so it was good business for all concerned to let him go for £750k.
Conteh looks beast, and the loan signings all look exciting. If we were able to develop our own players to this standard that would be great, but we can't, so loans it is.
Anyone who doesn't like this should dig their own cheque book out of the drawer and stump up the cash to fix things.

Will this lad be better than Ryan Jones?? Why are we paying to develop other teams youngsters when our season is in the Pan? we should be having a really good look at what we have in the squad already until the end of this year and start making some decisions as a football club, that in the heat of the Battle in a league game on a Saturday in front of Fans and when it matters, are our young up and coming players up to it? if not they go at the end of the season, if they have got a bit sign them up for 2 years and and give them a run, who knows we might even make a few quid on them as well and we can grow as a club. This current scatter gun approach is not working! Under Barton it was never going to Happen but I expected more of Taylor. May be its again poor guidance and management from the owners and inexperience but we need to start being more professional and ruthless. This Window has been a Joke! I've been a big fan of Ryan Jones since we signed him from Weston, and agree that he deserves a chance. Aguilera is a different class though, and I'm really excited by what he can do for us. We asked for pace in the team, and the club have delivered.

Forest fans I know really rate him.

Wael is still part owner, still involved and still paying nearly half of the bills. I'm sure he's not happy with some of the mistakes, but he will help them get on the right track or it will cost him a lot of money. i think that we just got used to JB spending Wael's cash without worrying too much about it. These new guys seem to think that we should be getting value for money . They obviously know nothing about football That's just standard owner speak.

If MT's signings are all as good as Conteh, then I'd say 3 signings would be enough.
RB, CB and LB.
If Collins has gone, then we'll need a replacement for him as well.

At last. Cock up Cox is out I actually feel a bit sorry for him, but I would much rather see one of our own 👍. It just doesn’t seem right for a young lad to be learning his trade at our demise. Please, please have a great game Jed 🙏 You can count the total number of youngsters who've made it regularly into the first team over the last 20 years on two hands.
