Nicholson looked class there.
Kilgour should've hit the target with that shot.

Nice move there from the Gas, back to front.
Hanlan should've hit the target.

This game is pretty dire so far. Is sure the same as crap? Yes exactly that 😊 This new phone has bad predictive, it changes things after I've typed.

Nothing to get excited about from either team.

Read about a paragraph of that. Short and simple is if you only say negative stuff and don’t call out the positives people see you as a negative poster and get bored of it. Doesn’t the club have to provide positives though? What were the positives under Garner? There was a lot of “you should just say positive stuff!” aimed at posters like me literally telling us what we should say. In the end the naysayers proved to be right and we could have saved a lot of time and points by acting sooner because the man was abject. We have a new manager now, again not some people’s cup of tea, but it can’t possibly be any more a disaster than Garner. There are positives in how quickly the club has acted in correcting the issues from the Fleetwood game, so hopefully Tisdale will start well (I wonder if part of the boards thinking was that getting Tisdale in now lines up with two winnable games) and we can all talk about positives on the pitch that we haven’t been able to talk about for a while because previously it was one step forward two steps back. Basically if the club is run in a professional manner and players are performing on the pitch then you’re taking away the opportunity to be negative so it starts with the situation at the club imo. Tisdale was brought in now, so that he gets a chance to change things in the transfer window of he wants to. If they'd left it any longer, a new manager would be stuck with this squad until the end of the season, apart from panic buys in January.

I'm guessing Wael is Gas365, probably not Big Jock I'd love to find out Wael is Big Jock ! When did Wael join the club, when did Jock start posting ? I'm pretty sure Big Jock pre dates Wael's arrival by some margin, but it would be amazing if it were true. It looks like we're all going on a Wael hunt, just like captain Ahab.

What an interesting, informative , and humorous letter, Wael def one of us and good to see that he seems to have a peek at this forum, thank goodness he has had many plaudits on here in recent months! good that we have someone who is REALLY ITK on board! first one to guess his forum name?! Wael also enforces the view expressed by a few of us on here that BG did an awful lot of good work behind the scenes for the club, you can't help but be confident about the future when we have Wael in charge, up the Rovers! I'm guessing Wael is Gas365, probably not Big Jock

Well said, and let's not forget former Rovers player Gwyn Jones who has just passed away for the same reason.
He was the player who was the whistle blower in the Rovers betting scandal back in the 60s.

Is this an attempt to beat Leroy Rosenior's record as the shortest managerial appointment of 10 minutes - we sack them before they're even in through the door.
This thread is an absolute embarrassment.

Maybe he’s turned us down? Towards the end of the interview. MS - Well Paul you have really impressed us during this process and i think we.... WAQ - Hang on a minute Martin, i have just noticed something near the top of the CV. MS - Whats that Wael? We are close to a deal here. WAQ - Looks like Paul played for City. PT- Umm, Err, yes i wasnt there long, hated my time at the Gate if i am honest. WAQ - GET OUT! More likely he read all the negative stuff on here and had a change of heart. 'If the buggers can't get behind me now, they never will'.

Tisdale has done amazing as a manager, seeing as he only played 73 league games, 18 of those abroad.

Whoever the new manager is lets get behind him. The reality is that everyone had a different person as their first choice however we can only fill that position with one person and not multiple people. The thing that I can see happening is that a number of fans will be waiting with the “I told you so” if they don’t get their wish and the new man starts off badly. It’s looks like the person who was my first choice was never a serious candidate but whoever gets the job will have my full support because everyone should be pulling in one direction instead of more than likely quietly hoping that the person struggles. The truth of the matter is that we really will never know if whoever is appointed was the actual first choice. For all we know the club may have had a list of 3 people and both of them said “sorry we aren’t interested” abit like when it sounds like we went for Nathan Jones but he said no so we then had to look at the next person on the list and for all we know BG may have not been in the top 3, or maybe the person who does get appointed was number 1.. The only people will know that is Waq, MS, TW and TG. What I don’t like is that fans will say that its the cheap option or why didn’t we go for say Paul Cook or Mike Flynn but for all we know they may have been asked and as I said earlier wasn’t interested. We are Bristol Rovers supporters so they are the most important football club to us but for every manager out there we are just another football club and just because we would love to manage the club it doesn’t mean that others do. I’m not here to give the moral high ground because I used to be like that when I was younger but as you get older you kinda think through Scenarios with a more balanced outlook instead of just saying things in the spur of the moment. I think we can all remember when Ray Graydon was named manager, everyone was buzzing after what he had achieved at Walsall however we all know how that turned out. Yet I remember a number if fans being against DC and PT getting the jobs after caretaker roles and they did very well for us. Actually thinking about it, its probably better that the new man whoever he is will more than likely not be everyone’s favourite as its usually the ones who people say “he’s not my first choice but I will support him” who actually does well 🤣🤣 C’mon Guys, lets get behind the new guy once he’s announced and lets give him and the boys some encouragement instead of being negative about it. The time to be negative will be if after a decent amount of time we are struggling or seeing no progress instead of even before that person gets through the door. Spot on, I couldn't have put it better. We're all fans of BRFC, so we should get behind the club whatever, in my opinion.

Knows how to manage a club, and games we've played against Exeter, always seems to do that well when we play his teams, so that's good enough for me.
I read nothing into his league 1 record, as he's only ever managed recently promoted League 2 clubs there; an established league 1 club is an entirely different job.

I'd like to see us appoint Arjen Robben 🤞 Has he managed ? I hope we go for someone who understands league 1. The likes of John Terry or Robben would be a disaster I reckon. You're probably right, although that could be said for almost anyone we appoint, very few managers are ever successful. I just would like someone attack minded who can pass on their experience to our forwards, and perhaps employ a defensive coach to shore things up at the back.

Good shout ... and if they decide against giving Rooney his first chance in management then maybe we could? Would certainly solve our experienced striker problem! If we signed Rooney in his prime, there are still a lot of people on here who would moan about us not having like for like cover for him if he picked up an injury!

My suggestion for the next manager would be whose name goes best after these words.
Former Bristol Rovers manager......
Just thinking ahead here 😬

I reckon we should be looking at someone with a Chelsea connection, like Hasselbank or Robben. They'd sort out our forwards and have international experience for when we qualify for Europe.
