That’s why Harvey Vale is a MUST start every game ! He's played best as a sub though. I've not been convinced when he starts.

Unbelievable. You've given him less than 2 weeks, and this game has barely begun. Just think many have been getting too carried away after 2 easy fixtures. I would say that a honeymoon period had to last until at least you've lost your first game, minimum.

Vale is best as an impact sub in my opinion.

Hell of a prediction if it happens. Good chance.. Not really, they got the scorers wrong!

I reckon we should be able to bring on both youngsters in the second half, now that the game is relatively safe 😬

The most pointless poll ever. But aren't all the posts on this forum pointless? Does it matter who we think the next manager should be? Does it matter whether we develop the Mem? Does it matter who is available in the next transfer market? No. Because we have no say in it with the people who make the decisions. However, it is good to voice our opinions and hope that maybe some of them become a reality. Pointless because they've already told us what they plan to do. It would be like having a poll on the next manager after they've made an appointment, or score prediction the Monday after the game.

Here’s a template for Northampton fans: “Dear EFL, We must protest at Bristol Rovers on 28th October. They fielded a team with players who were better than ours. It is not in the spirit of the game to not offer Northampton a sporting chance. I demand a rematch on more even terms. Kind regards, Disgruntled of Avington. At least a number of them will have watched the game this afternoon. Whereas, I bet none of them ever bothered to watch the Scunthorpe game before complaining.

If we don't sign Pep with £1bn war chest, some people on here still won't be happy.

I’d steer well clear of JCH in January unless he was available at a cut price. Dont think he’s the answer to our woes and not the player he once was. Dream world , Longstaff from Notts, he’s just signed a new contract though so no chance of that. Get the ball into the box and Langstaff would score a lot, but that's been our big problem this season, not enough possession in the opponents penalty area. JCH used to win us a lot of fouls in attacking areas, but if you're just going to take a quick free kick and pass it sideways, what's the point in that. I think we probably need to drop Pep ball until we actually get promoted, as we definitely have a squad capable of achieving that.

Gibbons over Sinclair when looking for a winner? Interesting Depends on the formation.

This is my 50th anniversary of supporting the Gas, and I've travelled to see the game this afternoon.
Let's hope it's better than the first game, which was a 0-0 versus York City in 1973.
2-0 to the Rovers.

I don't live too far from Burton and it hasn't stopped raining since last night and is due to keep raining until tomorrow morning. Hopefully they have good drainage. Likewise. There are so many roads closed, and it won't get better until 11 o'clock tonight, then there's more rain forecast for the morning. Get yer wellies ready.

Looking out of the window, and I live about 30 miles away, there must at least be a pitch inspection going on for this one, it may be called off IMHO. Hopefully early enough to stop travelling if no hope Agreed. It will be another week to get over the injury backlog though, with McCormick and Hoole now out as well.
