On goals per game Ellis was far and away our best striker. Difference is if Taylor plays well I will say so. That's true but in the Rovers history books / stats it will show that taylor scored 21 or whatever it was and he was our top scorer. I think Ellis is more of a natural finisher and I think Easter probably is too, but taylor played more games and scored more goals last season than either of them for very good reasons. Reason being DC has a love In for him

I feel if they all played the same amount of games Easter would be top goal scorer, but I think Ellis will be this season just because of his pace! In my opinion taylor won't get anywhere near top scorer. I look forward to him proving you wrong... Then I would be a happy gashead! Nothing personal from me. Just can't see him having as many chances to score like he did last year, and we all know he missed quite a few. If he does prove me wrong you can bring this up and i will happily say I was wrong.

this is exactly why I thought it would have been nice if the OP hadn't started this thread. Tbf, me and roverdrive argued our point and that was it. Nothing bad happened, just different opinions

Yes you are entitled to your opinion! But are you now happy about lines signing for us, even though of what he had been like in the pass? I'm not saying what he did was right, and he could still well be a Lady garden, but if DC DID sign him I would trust his opinion. Regarding Lines: I'm delighted we've only offered him a year contract as I still fear we may see the old side of him if he gets comfy. A one year contract is perfect though as means he needs to continue to apply himself. Regarding Lita, that's fair enough as you haven't seen what I've seen so that's fair enough. But seeing what I've seen, I stand by the fact I would stop watching us until he left the club. I'm not trying to get others to do the same, just stating my own viewpoint. Fair enough, wasn't trying to argue, just debating on a slow working day! Like people said he's only training so this will probably be meaningless.

You've had disliking to a few players recently! Maybe the times you've seen him in a bar, doesn't reflect if he could do a job for us on the pitch. Hardly. I had an opinion on JMW which I'm entitled too and it was purely based on footballing reasoning - nothing personal. LL may be able to do a job on the pitch for us, but again, I am entitled to my opinion and to stand by my morals. Yes you are entitled to your opinion! But are you now happy about lines signing for us, even though of what he had been like in the pass? Biggest Special lady garden I have ever met. Took his belt off and tried to attack my mate with it as he thought my mates shouted w*nker at him but didn't (no idea who it was). I was also stood at the bar in Oceana many years ago when he set light to a wad of £50 notes because bar staff wouldn't serve him ahead of a load of people who had been patiently waiting properly. He even used the "do you not know who I am?" line. If he joins Rovers, I won't be going to watch them until he leaves. End of. Hopefully he is just "training" though. You've had disliking to a few players recently! Maybe the times you've seen him in a bar, doesn't reflect if he could do a job for us on the pitch.

The problem with league games the bookies know the ins and outs usually, friendly they are more guess work and with us knowing the teams etc, I think it gives us a slight advantage Agree mate. Although I still think you can sometimes get an advantage with some of the lower league games. It's the prem and top games where the bookies are really clued up! Yeah very true, especially when for example we know the team is playing bad but scraping wins we could easily lose, but all the bookies see are what league table is and form! And vice versa

Not the friendlies but always the league games. Usually a clutch of correct score bets. The problem with league games the bookies know the ins and outs usually, friendly they are more guess work and with us knowing the teams etc, I think it gives us a slight advantage

I really do hope he gets a fair crack at the whip! Could become a decent player with some training I feel.

I've just started to look at the betting on our friendies, and have made a easy bit of money as the bookies seem to be very generous on us! Against Sutton we were 10/11 and today for us to win both halfs at 5/6! Was wondering if anyone else bets on us?

I saw this and had to put 50 on! Almost a full team out I think it's worth the risk
