Sadly many people laughed with Alf Garnett, not at him as the show intended. It appeared to be scripted to make him look the racist fool, however it did not work and many saw him as their racist hero. It failed and he is still lauded today by some as some sort of funny idol. 🤦🏾♀️ My own father, a racist dickhead Well, at least he only passed 50% of his characteristics on to you.

Norwich second half were the best team seen at the mem this season. As a whole 90 derby were the best team I've seen. Agreed. Norwich were very poor in the 1st half, and a trip to Anfield looked very much on the cards. Second half put paid to that.

Is it any more or less bigoted to abuse someone for being larger than average, taller than average, or shorter, perhaps having an extremely short haircut or extremely long hairstyle? Or, for being ginger haired? Or even living in a caravan!? Any form of abuse is wrong, but with some factions of society it feels like they have more protection than others. But, it's still abuse. So let's take it,one form of abuse at a time. There is no need at to categorise it, as one worse than the other. Which you seem to be advocating To be fair to o2 , I would have thought that the opposite was true. "Any form of abuse is wrong."

Rossiter is a quality player, if injury prone. I really hope he and the club can get together and agree a sensible contract; ie a not too high basic wage, but good appearance money. With his injury record I don't think that would be unreasonable, and I can't see too many clubs rushing to offer him a lucrative long term deal at the moment. Agreed. Let`s hope MT sees it the same way.

You just know if we let Jordan leave he’ll end up at somewhere like Wrexham next season and play every game 🤦🏾♀️ Haha no danger of that he’ll play 4 or 5 games at most, we need to let him go with our thanks for the dozen or so games where he looked so good The injury he got for us, looked so innocuous. Afterwards he walked round the pitch, pretty much unaided, and disappeared down the tunnel. I was sure he`d be back in a couple of games.

I don’t know if we’ve seen the last of him or not but it seems likely. My benchmark for us is always Division 3, it’s the least we should be. Although this century younger fans may have a ‘lower’ benchmark considering where we’ve been for many seasons. Sam Finley came to us when we’d just had an awful relegation and the whole team and manager had given up well before we were actually down. With Paul Coutts and various others he helped get us back first time, something we don’t usually do when relegated to the bottom league. Others scored and created the goals that got us promotion but he was an important part of the team and when he played well he was excellent. When MT came in this season he had a real purple patch and looked even better under MT. But since the Norwich match like everyone else it’s got worse. Don’t know why but it seems like something happened or perhaps it was just a natural ending. Whatever, hes been one of the consistently good players imo, over his three years. A promotion and two worry-free seasons from relegation in League. That hasn’t happened too many times this century. Reading this thread it doesn’t seem too many will be sad to see Sam Finley go which I can kind of understand. His performances have dipped down like the rest of the team which makes me think something has happened / been said or even agreed. But I’m always aware of being careful what you wish for. Trolls changed his team after two decent consolidated seasons in 2010 losing a lot of solid players who’d done well. We got relegated in 2011. DC in 2018 after two decent seasons had to make changes from his trusted teams. We didn’t replace with better players and by December he’d gone and by 2021 we were relegated. I’m not saying this will happen this time because circumstances are different. I hope MT will be allowed to bring his own players in and we can consolidate at least next season. Whatever thanks Sam. Your commitment on the pitch has been appreciated. We’ve had 7 promotions and you were part of one of them. Some of our legends didn’t manage that! You helped return us to where we should always at least be. 👏👏👏 UTG! I won`t be sad to see him move on. Nonetheless, you make his case most eloquently.

But can the owners afford to keep him if fans continue to vote with their feet? How will reduced season ticket sales and pay on the day numbers falling impact on their thinking? Credibility may come a distant second place to financial losses in their minds. Btw I’ve not experienced people referencing JB when I tell them I’m a gashead although with results/performances being like they have been for the past 6 months I’m currently too embarrassed to tell people who I support. When we were making news around the world after the Scunthorpe game I was very proud for everyone to know I was a Gashead !!! Things change quickly - some good signings and a good start in August will change everything. There are sliding doors moments at this level - if JCH had signed; if Scott Jones had put that penalty away; if Astafjevs and Mauge weren't both crocked at the same time in 2000. It's fine margins between a winning run and a losing one Thanks for that, Mr White. I`d only just managed to put that penalty behind me, and now you`ve brought it up again.

Unlike you to predict a 3-1 win, Marshy 😎 If we lose, expect Taylor to have a long face while he whinnies about the players. The interviewer may tell him to quit stalling and answer the question, did he saddle himself with too much responsibility taking on the job? Of course, the accounts show that despite the losses, we are in a stable position and there will be no need for anyone to stirrup trouble. Those types can get off their high horse as Taylor makes enough of a foal of himself anyway and he might make a spur of the moment decision and resign. He'd certainly be the centaur of attention then! On a side note, I never gamble but did so very occasionally years ago. The last horse I bet on came in at 10 to 1. The trouble is the rest came in at 12.30 UTFG 🏴☠️🐎 Are these the worst puns ever inflicted on this forum? Perhaps we should have a gallop poll.

MT strongly hinting (in fact pretty much openly stating) that some untoward things have been going on behind the scenes. Says these will come to light at the end of the season. That's from the last part of his Cheltenham pre-game interview. Clearly wants to say something but not allowed to yet. What a shitshow this is now. Part of me hopes this is the case. The alternative is that he is useless, and that next season will be a continuation of the last couple of months. The thought is unbearable.

Doesn't help that the other lot scored five tonight and we can't ever score one!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Right now, I`d settle for point five of a goal.

Four things that are visible every game - we almost always pass to players receiving the ball with their backs to goal which means n opposition player already on them whilst they look to control the ball That`s not just down to the player who`s passing the ball, it`s also down to the player receiving the ball. Good players make space for themselves, poor ones don`t.

Alarming to see the empty seats in the east stand which is pretty much season ticket there.will be lucky to sell 4k for next season and that's the budget gone. Emptiest I`ve seen the east terrace for a league match, this season. If Taylor is sacked, he`ll need all the compensation he can get out of the club. Who in their right mind, would offer him a job after this?

Anyone know any good jokes? A family is driving behind a bin lorry when a dildo flies out and thumps against the windshield. Embarrassed and trying to spare her young son's innocence, the mother turns around and says, "Don't worry, dear. That was just an insect." "Wow," the boy replies. "I'm surprised it could get off the ground with a cock like that!" Nervous bank robber pulls out his gun and shouts, " All right you motherstickers, this is a f**k up."

They've amended the team on Twitter: Shame, De Bruyne and Salah aren`t in the amended line up.

Gordon starting, and on the subs bench too. Is he going to be substituted, then come straight back on? That should confuse Reading. And everybody else.

Can just imagine the chant, if we do actually manage to put the ball in the net. "We`ve scored a goal...we`ve scored a goal...how s**t must you be...we`ve scored a goal."

The following out of contract Hoole Gordon Gibbons Marquis Finley Jones Lawrence Sinclair and a option for another year for Chris Martin and Josh Grant not sure if I have missed anyone With the possible exception of Sinclair and Martin, I wouldn`t be unhappy to see them all gone. If we can`t replace them with better, then we won`t finish next season any higher than we are now.

All those saying it was an improved performance, this was Boltons first away win in seven games! They`re not mutually exclusive facts. Our performance yesterday, improved from abysmal to competent.

Seeing its 9am in sunny Perth though i would get in early with thread. Best thing about clocks going forward in UK is that i get to watch game at 10pm instead of 11pm. My prediction on current form with Gas unable to score goals but playing at the Mem is 1-1, but on the other hand it could be a drubbing from an in-form Bolton. Really hoping Ward gets a full game in today as gas tick when he's on song. Stoney UTG I never realised Scotland was so far in front of us and sunny! 🤯 You know perfectly well he meant Perth, Australia. You`re just pretending for comic effect.
