Yeah the amount of druggies/drunks around the station was quite staggering tbh. People in really bad ways. Never really got troubled by them, but there were hundreds. One street they were literally piled on top of each other, completely out of it, presumably on something like crystal meth. But no you're right this wasnt typical of the city as a whole.
Fair enough re the chaps on the megaphones. Do the ultras basically run the club?
The area around the main railway station is the main area for prostitution (Eros Centers) and drugs. I might be visiting later in the year, Nobby. Are there any other areas that you would recommend?

Wasn't that impressed with Barnsley to be honest. I think they'll get smashed next season on that showing. Same here, they were much better at their place where they looked like true Championship contenders. I thought they knocked the ball about nicely, but they didn`t seem to have any urgency about their play. I know they were already up, and it was very unlikely that whatever they did they would finish above Luton, but even so, they had 1500 fans there, and you would have thought that they would have wanted to put on a show for them. But to me, they didn`t look that bothered.

Several embarrassing renditions of this today, it appears that GC has picked up on it as well. Why are you singing about an organisation that killed people, primarily in the island of Ireland, infront of our Irish manager? Knock it on the head next season. Agree absolutely. Hopefully next season, they`ll sing about William Wilberforce and Mary Seacole instead.

Dirty Leeds. Always have been. To be fair, the manager did the sporting thing in allowing Villa to equalize. Not Bielsa`s fault that Bamford did his impression of Julian Clary being punched by Anthony Joshua.

😂Did you watch Rovers at all over the previous four seasons ? If you did you would have seen the way he consistently received the ball from one fullback and in a second played a cross field ball to the other wing to set a full back or winger spreading the play , dictating the tempo ? No ? Don’t get me wrong I know Chris lines the player and if Cogs is manager next season then lines is no use to him and cogs is no use to lines but as for Hollywood balls to nowhere at all ? You’ve either not been watching the Gas for more than a year or your memory reset at the end of last season. The last 12months he has quite literally played on the toes of our centre halves. Even in the Development game against Southend last week, that`s where he played. Talented player no doubt about it, but in that position, neither use nor ornament for us.

Hear hear. Shameful and pathetic attempt to gain an advantage by Bamford. Glad to see he's got his just desserts. Shame he wasn`t banned for all their playoff games. Watching the Leeds/Villa game, a thought did occur to me. If the opposing team let Tom Nichols have an uncontested run on goal, do you think he would score?

I'd like think that if we had 5 years in the sixth tier we'd still get 5,000 diehards. And I`d like to think, I`ll wake up next to Halle Berry tomorrow morning.

I didn't mean to come across rude or anything. Just asking that's all. My knowledge of Bristol Rovers isn't great. Stefan Payne and Clarke Harris. Maybe its just me because I always enjoy watching the younger players. One of the main reasons I like the early preseason games. I think its unlikely that Barnsley will change a lot but if we could play a Styles or Walton it would be great. Nobby Styles? He`s hardly young, is he? Not even sure he`s still alive.

Hereford went to the Sussex league as neither the then Conference or Southern leagues would not accept them because of their finances. They won the Wessex league, Both divisions of the Southern league and got themselves in National league North where they sit with Darlington; Stockport; Bradford Park Avenue; Boston United; Kidderminster; Chester; and York City are (almost League 2 part 2) That list is madness. Must be a few who were also playing-them teams regularly back then who are now in the prem. Stockport have at least got themselves back in National League.

And in all this shambles it is the true fans that suffer. The true fans enjoyed the glory when Bolton were in the Prem, chucking about the insane amounts of money, that eventually led to where they are now.

I don't watch Jeremy Kyle. You don`t know what you`re missing. There was a brilliant episode last week. "Is my boyfriend nobbing the window cleaner?" Class.

Has anybody considered that the reason TN looks good in training is because our defence ain’t the best Our defence is decent for this level. Im including the keeper in that who is obviously on loan. The problem all season is we’ve had nobody to create chances with killer balls. Olly Clarke played a beautiful long reverse pass on Monday with his left foot to put JCH through. That was the only great pass we made all game. When we had a playmaker that kind of ball was standard over the last four seasons and then we had wingers running in at the far post , overlapping full backs , etc getting in to the area. That was a rare great ball from Olly , but it isn’t his game and it ain’t ogogos, Upsons, Sercombes , Sinclair I could go on. None of those players create or score chances or even get in the box. We’ve got zero creativity , The the back 5 are good, Lockyer Craig Dennis James Clarke have all been pretty solid and Bonham has been outstanding and they’re the reason we’re still with in a good shout for safely this season along with JCH and Olly Clarke . Our midfield are ball winners and not great at that even , Sinclair is great at pressing but leaves gaps, ogogo I don’t rate too slow and lets everything happen around him, , upson all rounder but isn’t league 1 standard, rodmans mostly been AWOL Bennet too leightweight slows it down too much no end product , Mathews can’t find a Rovers shirt , Sercombe half the player of last season, lines AWOL I don’t know why nobody seems too either. The above paragraph sums up to me why we’ve struggled . Nichols getting plenty of stick in here for not scoring but he’s spent most of this season dropping deep in to midfield trying to get the ball moving in midfield so we actually play some football with creativity and when he hasn’t been there we look even more hopeless than when he is in my opinion. If we release Nichols in the summer and still don’t find a replacement or preferably two replacements , one for Chris lines the other for Nichols , both have to be creative players who can open up teams then we’ll be relegated way before this stage of the season. If you want to know the reason we’re not already relegated it’s our back 5 , olly Clarke and the Tom Nichols - JCH partnership. Only one midfielder in there, tells the story , lots of dire home performances where we’ve hardly created anything and lost by the odd goal backs it up. I`m not a fan of Olly Clarke at all. The thought of another season, watching him roll the ball ten yards to his left ( or right ) straight to an opposition player, and then have to turn and chase back to his own goal, does not fill me with much pleasure. But apart from that, I agree with everything you`ve written.

I'd be happy with the spine of this team. It's pretty solid, if unspectacular, and then get some pace and flair in all the other positions: ..................Bonham................. pace/flair Lockyer Craig THD pace/flair Ogogo Clarke pace/flair ..............pace/flair JCH............. Pace-Flair? Not sure I can cope with another double barrel surname! And presumably they`re all related. Where are they playing at the moment? Over to Pirate..

I've renewed. f**ks sake. Resistance is futile, Hugo. For me, it`s more like muscle memory than a conscious decision.
Feet walk to club shop. Hand takes out debit card. Hand puts aforementioned card into card reader. Finger taps out pin number. Feet walk home again.

I`ve renewed my season ticket and I`m optimistic. I think we have the nucleus of a decent team. JCH. All we need are 10 players to go with him.

We don't have anything better to work with JCH and how we play. Maybe there is a better way of doing it. Maybe some way of just playing with JCH up front, or with Jak or Reilly up there with him in some way, but we haven't found it despite looking. I don't think anyone is still saying he'll come good (in the sense that he'll start scoring goals for us) but I think it's a reasonable position to say that we haven't got anything better atm. I sh!t you not. What would you play that is better?
I still feel GC has somehow pulled off a miracle keeping us up but fans still slag him off. "Somehow"? We all know how he`s kept us up. He bought a striker in January, who scored vital goals, ( sometimes pretty much independently of the rest of the team ) that have taken us out of the bottom four. Without Harris, we`d be down now.

I didn't watch today but listened and have seen the highlights and then I read the forums. I really wonder what some people's perspective is or how much sense of reality there is out there!? When we win there have been some ridiculous posts talking us up and for some reason everyone seems to think that just because some teams are below us, we should be spanking them..... and woe behold if we lose to them, we suddenly have a squad of crap players and a manager who hasn't got a clue (yet when we went on our run he was lauded as the best manager out there)... do people not realise that the most dangerous teams are those who are fighting for their lives? We haven't been free flowing or pleasing on the eye yet we've ground out results because we have had to. People talk about floaty corners and free kicks yet I've seen plenty of games and highlights and there are some but we do whip some in a vary it... just think that we need to have perspective that every game is going to be a real tough test and battle, we have no given right to be beating anyone and this season is all about just staying up. Next season after a summer recruitment drive where I think we'll see a lot of comings and goings and we'll have a much better year next season I'm genuinely pleased for you that you never had to go through what the rest of us did today. Out of interest did they manage to find over 10 seconds of highlights? I had to work yesterday, Eric.
I`m genuinely pleased for me.

I'm personally not worried of it all if I'm honest. That might sound complacent but at this point we'd need pretty much every result to go against us and for us to not get anything from our last two games to even be in with a chance of going down. Our fate is in our own hands, Fleetwood have nothing to play for next week so we should for aim for at least a draw. A couple of teams below us will slip up under the pressure of it and we'll be fine IMO. Stay up, we probably will. Fine, we are most definitely not.
