Who have we got that actually constructs an innings, apart from Root and possibly Stokes? Bairstow, Buttler, Morgan, Moeen, Rashid, Woakes et al, fling the bat at everything, and when it comes off we`re unbeatable, and when it doesn`t we`re unwinnable.

Agreed..its because its full of lefties/students.. The Sportsman - while not on Glos rd was for years my local, I grew up just off Lockleaze rd - lived in Knowle of 2 years, 👎😠Patchway, Filton and for last 4 years Kingswood.Until 3 years ago me and my mates would still meet at the Sportsman for a big TV footy game,or just a few beers. There was a vibe and energy there (and the totty working behind the bar were hot as fook! ) now its dead and always full of student wankers and hippies! And is a shillong fest Only been there 2 times in the last 18 months. Love a good ol’ blame the lefties & students post Absolutely. I, for one, am perfectly happy to wait for ten minutes, while they pay for their vegetarian cheese and quinoa flavoured crisps with their credit card.

Rod Hull & Emu, they were hugely successful 😂 I know Emu`s voice wasn`t the best, but you try singing with a bloke`s hand up your backside.

A land war between the US and Iran would be, to use an American term, a turkey shoot. The masses of Iranians would just provide a target rich environment. Well sir, if you think the Shia across the region would stand idly by, if you think Hesbi eh Allah will not turn Lebanon into flames, did I mention the Shia in the UAE? When will the West ever learn, you attack one Muslim country, you attack them all, (subject of course to Shia / Sunni politics). I fear an attack on Iran will set the whole region on fire. And for what? To stop them getting The Bomb. Which would most certainly set the whole region on fire. Saudi Arabia would want the same capability, and Pakistan are crazy enough to oblige.

After that, suicide may be an option that`s taken out of everybody`s hands.
Oh no I've already bought my season ticket. Do you think I could get a refund? Not sure. The club may consider that nuclear obliteration is preferable to the rubbish we were forced to watch, for most of last season.

I do believe that if the Iranians push things too far, they will be crushed. Iran is surrounded by US forces. Targets have been identified and if the US strike, it will be over quickly. I also believe that the Iranian military capabilities have been over-stated. I don't think they actually have nuclear weapons. Israel will step in first to stop that just as they did with Iraq. I have a slightly biased view. But I do not think the Iranians are stupid enough to believe they can win a war with the USA based upon the technological capabilities available to both sides. They will try and drag the USA (and its allies) into a land war where, given their land mass and population levels, a committed population at that, the death toll on allied forces would be horrendous and politically untenable. By contrast they dont care, dying for their country being a badge of honour, as the western backed Saddam found out 1980-88. I don`t think anybody believes that the Iranians have The Bomb yet. But they`re determined to stop them from getting it. Iran have too many enemies in the region. Saudia Arabia and Israel; strange bedfellows.

Can I offer you a lift up to the suspension bridge? Far to impactful and public. Best to leave that sort of self aagrandiosement to the Nationalists. Quiet night in with a Scotch and Opioids for me. After that, suicide may be an option that`s taken out of everybody`s hands.

Bizarre decision by Kohli yesterday. I`m all for the batsman walking, but not when he hasn`t hit it.

Tie of the round tomorrow, India V Pakistan. Really looking forward to this game. Apart from the England games, this is the game I've been looking forward to the most. Just hope the weather is OK, think its meant to be dry!! Fingers crossed! 700,000 applications for tickets, and a billion people watching on tv. Even the Pakistan players would think twice, before trying to spot fix this one.

Blimey, England have blitzed the Windies with fast bowling. It's been a long time since England have had bowlers with this pace. Wood and Archer were outstanding. Three wickets each. So let's see how the Windies quickies get on. England obliterated the WI, who watered all over Pakistan, who put England to the sword. Funny old game. What a class act Root is, though.

Why, how much do you charge? 9 pence. I remember when 9p would buy you half an hour with a prozzie, ( no holes barred ) and I`d still have change for fish and chips on the way home.

I now know the name of the 6ft 6in Dutchman. He's 23-years-old and a goalkeeper. Let's hope he's better than the last Dutch goalkeeper we had . (Granted he did go on to better things after us!) Did he win a Dutch cap?

Should be subscription only and scaled right back to just news, documentaries and public information. There are plenty of other channels making entertainment and lifestyle programmes, the BBC is not required for the likes of Escape to the Country or Eastenders. im ok for them to provide sport, I believe a few are protected to free to air such as World Cup and Olympics but anything more should be limited to highlights rather than expensive exclusive rights stuff. Noooo! I watch EastEnders. It's my guilty pleasure. Get outta my forum, you slaag.... Nobby`s in big trouble, over something that his wife caught him watching when he thought he was alone in the house. I don`t know what her problem is really.
Stalingrad was such a long time ago.

Blimey. Pakistan v Australia.......some of these easy catches that Pakistan are dropping. You've got to wonder haven't you. A few years ago, I went to a talk given by Henry Blofeld. Asked about the state of Pakistani cricket, he replied that their wicket keeper would start appealing, the minute the plane left the ground in Karachi.
