Bring it on,Spoons give the man in the street value for money and the boss man knows what the punters are looking for from a pub, its nice to do 'posh' now and again but in the main Spoons is a lot of peoples 'go to' for value for money, whats the problem?

The old boys who like a pint of lager at 9am will rejoice.
I think it would be a good addition and will attract more people yo the area.
I know it's said that Wetherspoons sucks the life and trade out of local pubs, but there are dozens of drinking places in the area, and one JDW won't make much of a dent in that amount of competition.
I suppose it might hit somewhere like the Wellington on a Saturday quite hard, but it gets so busy in there that I'm sure some people avoid it. So there will be more room for them. Win win.

Perhaps if the pub gets planning permission it will mean lower prices in other pubs in the area hopefully

The proposed roof terrace could be interesting. Can't think how that could possibly go wrong on match days!!

Bring on the Spoons, offers value for money, and a great ambience in-which to enjoy a few pints before a match; fed up with left-wing morally superior ***** telling the majority what is right for them.

I don’t particularly like spoons. Lack any form of originality and atmosphere. But..... I don’t have to go in there and certainly wouldn’t object to one.

Will be popular with away fans. I tend to gravitate towards a spoons on away days.

Not sure it's needed, with the Anchor so close.

Can you really get a beer at 9am ? Absolutely. Took Mrs Badengas on a six day tour of six different Spoons hotels last summer and had an amazing time, she really is a lucky girl.

I prefer a proper local myself where the beer is well kept and looked after, but I have used Wetherspoons from time to time and they are OK for a swift couple of pints and/or somewhere to meet up to move on elsewhere. I would be concerned if too many 'spoons crop up in any given location that would drive others out of business.
