Really feel sorry for Collins , those last few months of completely inept and lifeless performances for us only to secure himself a big money move and no doubt a hefty pay rise ……. All to end up having to come back to the Mem again next season. 😂 Yep no sympathy whatsoever. As said hope he gets another move instead of sulking it out at whatever the Reebok is called these days so we can cash in on him again.

… I hope they both lose….
Aaron can get another transfer and we hopefully have a sell on we can utilise.

Great interview with a great servant of the club. Gave up so much of his personal life to be with us.
Some on here have been suggesting he wanted out and that MT and him had fallen out but apparently they were talking new contracts but the ownership weren't interested in following it up. Said his best football has been under Taylor.
Makes some on here look a little silly if true...

Not clear if this Sky Sports + will be available for Virgin users. Will be annoyed if it isn’t as it still costs a fortune and we miss out on things like the Atlantic channel which airs House of the Dragon. Looks like it will be. www.cordbusters.co.uk/virgin-media-ee-tv-sky-sports-plus/Thanks. Still seems a little unclear to me though If I’m interpreting it correctly the older boxes and standard channels might only support what’s broadcast but if you have the newer 360 box (which I do) then you can stream. So I think it’s ok. And if it’s not I’ll hold virgin responsible.

If I knew top 10.was our aim I would never of bought a season ticket We’ve finished top half just once in our last 11 seasons in League One. Top 10 very much should be the aim! I start out each season wanting to get promotion but if we managed top 10 this season that would be very definite progress. Eventually we’ll want to make it top 6 but it’s not much of an extra step from top 10 to top 6. I imagine if we were to get promoted this season it would cause headaches with the planned upgrade to the stadium regards meeting the all seater requirement sooner than planned.

Got absolutely sloshed at a wedding last night and woke up in a confused state thinking we’d signed the big man.
Not sure what hurt more the hangover or the realisation he’s not ours (yet)

On the flip side another legal bod suggested he reckons nothing will come of it according to a video I posted a few weeks back.

Not that I’m defending him. But I don’t remember this. How did he manage to cock it up? Your words not mine Ah! Very clever!

Maybe WC is leaving his part time role at Rovers.. and then taking on a full time role at Rovers? No, TG buggered up the WC situation. Remember? Not that I’m defending him. But I don’t remember this. How did he manage to cock it up?

This thread is tragic.
He’s going nowhere.
The club aren’t going to air a 10 minute interview for the end of season talking about next and then promote it multiple days in the trot then axe him a few days later without any extra games being played.
Some people on here…

I blame the SC here. It is there tweet clearly wrong. Whether they are directly relaying a club message is a separate issue. How is it? If the club don’t want it posted tell the SC they want to comment off the record. If they want to control the discourse, release a statement yourself and control the wording. At the very least consider that the comment may be shared with others and that it needs to be worded appropriately in case. Or simply don’t behave like dicks in the first place by leveraging a charge this season after the renewal window has been and gone without any mention of said charge.

Joey Barton hired in 19th place. Finished first season rock bottom.
Joey Barton sacked with rovers in 17th place in league one.
Matt Taylor hired with us in 11th and finished in 15th, with someone else’s squad.
Got to give the guy a chance, it’s madness to say you’d rather have Barton back. Given the second season in League One it’s clear Barton is not fit to manage a club like ours in L1. Taylor kept us up. Not pretty and it was pretty abysmal but we stayed up.
If you can forgive Barton for the sh**e he managed in l1 before we got relegated you have to give Taylor the same opportunity staying in league one.

This time of the year is one of the most boring for us fans. Nothing will really get going on the transfer front for at least a month and most rumours will be far off the mark. Quite right it should be. But we’ve got bonus ownership and club management gaffs to get worked up about and we’ve all seemingly forgotten about McAllister (gone or suspended? Who knows. Nobody tell us nothing!)

He would be sacked if we are near the bottom way before then, like any manager would at the majority of clubs. Hopefully he will still be here, as that will mean we are doing okay. But there is no way he would be here this time next year if we were relegated. I'm none to sure he would be sacked. If our current owners are more focused on getting costs under control and development of our own players, rather than buying them, they might well let him carry on rather than pay him off and pay even more money for a replacement. I get what you're saying, but the whole situation (is that polite enough?) with the club doesn't give me much optimism. With that logic they’d have kept Barton.

I took a hammering on here from a poster a few weeks back for the “odd” criticism of TG replying to emails but not offering adequate communications to supporters.
Well here you go. This is why it’s a problem and not the professionally done thing.

Do the professional thing then and release statements instead of letting everyone guess what is going on.
It’s a shitshow of mediocrity.
Professional my ass.
