As DoF is George Friend now effectively Matt Taylor's immediate boss? I can't understand how anybody with no coaching or managerial experience can become MT's immediate boss, HoR already seemed a big step up. As far as Spendlove I assumed he'd long departed, I thought he was taking the flack for EJ/BJ signing so many injury prone players and the fact we didn't seem to have any scouting network? I think if you take the trouble to view George's Linkedin page . You will find out that he is quite experienced with regards to these matters.

Agree with pretty much all this. No reason why the middle ground cant give short term viability and longer term revenue generation as well as improved facilities and more seats. And the Mem is never going to be a perfect looking ground, but I dont mind it being still very individual - just much better than it is! Absolutely. Personally - I'd rather a ground with history and a story to its appearance than a soulless new build bowl that looks pretty much identical throughout. It's hard not to get romantic about your Anfields and Old Traffords. Your Emirates and Etihads are boring in comparison. Disagree with you there. First of all Anfield is a totally different ground to the Anfield from when we visited . So no real history there. Old Trafford is falling down and need a complete re-vamp. Nothing wrong in either the Emirates or Etihad. Both great grounds. And with regards closer to home I would sooner be playing at Ashton Gate as opposed to the Mem. At least at AG they have decent toilets, nice bars and the ground is not falling down.

In the case of the west stand that’s because it is full with ST holders and therefore you have to wait until the deadline for them renewing their ST’s has passed. Other areas like the new stand you can now swop your ST from any area now. It's not swopping them though. Your old ticket remains as pending until the renewal times out. I've bought a 'new' ticket for the south stand. Clearly my previous seat is not needed but is not for sale for early bird purchases. By the time it goes back in the sales pot the early bird option would have finished. Agree with you its not really swapping -- But probably exchange is the right word. Also as I have already bought an enclosure one.I will get a stand ticket ( if available ) at the discounted rate.

I read it as they will they be reserved until the 12th. You are correct. I am trying to swap my tickets over from the West Enclosure to the West Stand. I have been told by the club in order to getthe discount firstly I have to renew my current season ticket and then from midnight on the 12th ( ie am 13th ) I will be able to cancel my enclosure ticket and hopefully if there is room apply for a stand ticket. In order to do this you have to go to the club store and do this in person.

Bert Tann will be smiling at that suggestion! Celtic winning the European cup ( now champions league) with every player a Glaswegian( i believe) is still up there with footballs greatest achievements IMHO. No they were not. Both Tommy Gemmell and Bobby Lennox were not born in Glasgow.

Well said, Blueridge. Why this person and his cronies feel it acceptable, necessary or whatever, to continually abuse and berate fellow fans is beyond me. There is some illusion that with JB's departure, the fanbase would be united again. This person and pals seem determined not to allow that. I've followed the club since 1970 and held an ST for many years. Renewal is imminent but doubts about the owners, manager and squad abound. Most of all though, do I want to stand on the same terraces as these people. I was At Northampton Saturday, I stand proud next to all Gashesds, this is just a forum mate, don’t take offence so easily. I never rambled about George Friend, he came down for Marcus’s charity match, by accident Jennings met him and gave him a deal basically on the spot, 20 games or less in 3 years at Brum, this is why I keep saying about our lazy pension pot signings with him and Barton and why we are in such a mess now with no football department. Go to the start of page 14 on this, you will see the usual posters bashing the new manager who hasn’t had his own window yet or been properly backed by the board. I won’t say sorry for defending MT, but I am sorry my post offended you, I apologise. Back to page 14, I will come on and wind up the Barton boys, Hopper and Betty were gutted when he was fired, when they then attack MT, I come in with the rod. I don’t talk made up stuff, people know it, from saying no one turned up to take training 3 months ago, cancelled hotel rooms, and even on deadline day I announced the signings before they were made public. I defend MT because I know a lot more now which I won’t disclose, I’ve said he’s talking to some very good players whilst also trying to work within the new owners strict model, I’m not saying anymore. You make some very good points. It won't be easy but we have to try and get rid of the injured brigade and others Matt feels won't be part of the journey. I think most of the fans will know which players they are as well. The board will need to support Matt both financially and by backing him with the changes he wants to make as well. Hopefully Wayne Carlisle is made full time ( if he wants it ) and a Director of Football is appointed to help and advise with recruitment. Although I can see us running with a smaller squad . I believe if the quality is there it will be better for us in the long run. But a top 6/8 squad will certainly have a cost implication. Lets hope the board have the pennies to do this.

There are 84 tickets remaining for this event as at today and therefore I suspect they'll become generally available as of tomorrow. Ultimately it is our opportunity as fans to ask questions of the club that people feel should be asked. It's a chance to hold the owners and ceo to account, there's little point in moaning unless you're prepared to try and do something about it! No one is being 'excluded', it's a BRSC run event and therefore it's only right that BRSC members have first opportunity at tickets, but as I've said above it looks like they'll become generally available as of tomorrow unless there's a late 'rush' today! Let's see how many are prepared to ask the difficult questions on 29th, I suspect there are a number of people on here and social media who like to hide behind their keyboards and moan, but aren't prepared to put their heads above the parapet and make their feelings known to those who actually run our football club! I do feel excluded. There will be supporters club members who do not have a season ticket. Season ticket holders should be erolled as a supporters club member automatically (and at no additional charge). I'm sorry but I don't agree with that. I am a season ticket holder but do not wish to be a member of the supporters club.

I'm sure my experience will be shared by many of my generation, i.e. born mid-fifties, now approaching 70 and retired. I still love coming to matches and even a few away every season. My wife still doesn't understand why an old bloke like me continues to wander up to the Men and watch lower league football in a cr*p stadium where I dread needing to visit the loo at half time every other weekend. The reason is simple, I first came when I was still at primary school and my dad started bringing me with him (not to the Mem of course..) Unlike many of my school mates I didn't support a First Division team because now I HAD A TEAM TO FOLLOW. It became part of my life and part of me, might sound daft but it's still part of who I am now and I can't imagine the day when it wouldn't be. Twerton wasn't my favourite ground but we still turned up. Dad's long gone now but I still miss him, us coming to the match, Sports Report in the car on the way home. Still turning up keeps me in touch with those old memories and happy days. If the club don't recognise the value of encouraging the next generation, of making it possible for them to come along, get excited about their team and their club by making it affordable, comfortable and safe then we're in trouble for the future. Where I stand on the Thatcher's there are an awful lot of grey heads like me and not a lot of youngsters as I remember. Agree with this -- Oh Most of the youngsters are down AG

I want to transfer from the West Terrace to the West Stand. Map of stadium won't allow it as its saying its sold out. Have emailed club -- Awaiting response. Is anybody else trying to purchase a West stand ticket but has previously had one elsewhere ? That’s because that stand is always filled by ST holders. You will have to wait until the ST holders have taken up their option of renewing. Yes you are right. I have just had confirmation back from Pete at the club explaining this. In fact I have to renew my current season ticket then from the 13th March I can try and change my ticket to the West stand if space available. Has to be done in person at the club store.

Is this really necessary mate ? Jules, he trolls me all over the place, he’s been a real favourite of the past with Lee Johnson digs, but yes, you are right, I shouldn’t engage Look at this his posts, continually he comes for me, I reply and he mutes it, he is as bad as anyone on this forum Roady -- You make some very good valid points on this forum. Not always I agree with you but still some valid points. Trouble is when you start engaging with people like Topper and respond like you have been . You come out of it looking as much as a dick as he does. Stop it you are better than that.

I can't remember who signed them -- But Blizzard, Bennett, Stephan Payne and Mark Wright were worse than any Barton signed. Payne & Wright were horrible bastards as well.

Possibly the only players that looked good last night were Number 20 Omochere & Number 5 Lawal of Fleetwood. Impressed with both of them.

Sat next to a guy at the Millenium when we played Doncaster in the Johnson Paint Trophy final who claimed to be a Rovers Fan but didn't have a clue about our club or the players so guess the big occasion brings em out. Does'nt need to be a big occasion -- I happen to stand next to a lot of these type of people at most home games.

Direct quote from Dan at the BP: “ Bristol Rovers are closing in on a deal to sign midfielder Kamil Conteh from Grimsby Town, Bristol Live understands, after the Gas met the 21-year-old's release clause which could lead to a club record deal for the League One club should an agreement be finalised. Negotiations between the two clubs are believed to be in the final stages while personal terms aren't expected to be an issue.” This is either absolute bollocks and the BP are just guessing or Conteh definitely isn’t coming here as ‘personal terms’ were to be an issue. Clearly Dan must have some indication that we’d met the release clause. This is something Dan wrote on the 22nd Jan -- Why bring it up again when there have been plenty of updates

Nothing complicated at all. Pay them as they request . Get the medical done and include in the squad versus Oxford. Simple as that.

i do remember at the time that we signed a striker called Barry Hayles from Stevenage for about £110k which was a large sum at the time for a non League player but we got our money back on that and more. It was actually for 250K

Unless they’re going to reciprocate and offer our fans £10 tickets for the return game then they can bugger off. Not sure it works like that as whatever the home club charges then they have to offer the away fans the same price for similar tickets. It looks like another TG cock up. Disagree with your comments here. We went to Stoke City once and there fans had had their ticket prices discounted . Whereby our supporters had to pay full wack.
