If we do have it, is it watertight. It’s fine - the policy is with Sainsbury’s.

Tomorrow we march on Harrogate, and they will feel our swords. Hopefully our shields will be more effective than Saturday!

It's absolutely incredible. And it just goes to show the bunker mentality at the club. Which must be why Barton still has the job - Wael must see he's not up to the task, but is just burying his head in the sand and pretending like nothing's wrong. As I said earlier in the week; rank leadership. Joey has apologised and going by his comments he’s the one who’s decided it wouldn’t happen until today. Not the most sincere apology I’ve ever heard but hey, I suppose an apology is an apology.

Ah come on. This is Bristol Rovers. When was the last time we did something in a professional manner? Ah yes, of course. In the words of the great Paul Buckle, we should perhaps lower our expectations. If we can release an article on the OS in the next week with no spelling mistakes, I'll be thrilled. I wouldn’t bunk on it.

Took me a while - you have to add to your basket and the go back in and shop for the other tickets separately and then assign them to your kids’ season tickets. I would have called TM to try and then sort out reallocating to covered terracing but had lost the will by then (if it rains it will be character building … god knows the times I’ve had to watch us wet and miserable!). cant beat a little bit of character building with the kids! 🤣 washed down with no alcohol and a vegan sausage Roll You’re not selling it to me chilly.

Official website says bust of luck. Does anyone proof read? Making a tit out of themselves again Almost unbelievably, they’ve made the same mistake again with ‘bust of luck’ for Tom Mehew’s loan. Presumably some lazy arse copying and pasting from the earlier article. I don’t mean to be pedantic but this level of incompetence and/or lack of oversight is a worry.

oh. I probably just messed up then. I’ll keep fingers crossed for an unseasonably warm and sunny day! 🤣 I phone Ticketmaster now, because trying to get two tickets for me and my boy, was a joke, wouldn’t allow me to assign two together! 😩. So speaking to them, I’ve managed to get what I wanted 👍🏽 Took me a while - you have to add to your basket and the go back in and shop for the other tickets separately and then assign them to your kids’ season tickets. Just bought FGR tickets for me and the boys. Wasn’t able to get the covered terracing - have these sold out already? We’ll be in the uncovered terrace on the side and the kids will not be happy with me if it rains!!

That made me laugh in a couple of places. Not advocating Ollie to replace JB but his press conferences would be equally amusing and surprising, just without the controversy!

Took me by surprise as well - I was still weighing up whether to go or not and only the other day suggested to the mrs that the whole family should go and make a weekend out of it. Oh well, decision made for me. Impressive away support though!

I don’t know who Gregsgas was. If he attended games between 1989 and now then chances are we stood shoulder to shoulder, roaring the gas on. Rest in peace.

As bad as it was for you yesterday at least you wernt beaten by the worst team in the league 5-2 at home while having a man managing you who led your biggest rivals to there greatest victory in there history. Tomorrow is another day UTG Ouch, Everton fan yes? That's gotta hurt. First world problems though!

So, I was at the game yesterday (without the kids, who didn’t want to join me … which is telling as normally up for the day out but couldn’t face watching us lose again (their words)). Without repeating what’s already been said:
1. in terms of the game, we were better than the Orient and Swindon defeats. We gifted them two goals and at 2-1 down the crowd were right behind them and I felt like a comeback was likely. However, the facts speak for themselves and we were beaten again by a well organised team which took its chances.
2. The ‘H’ comment: I will give Joey the benefit of the doubt. He tries to be clever, loves his metaphors and similes, and sometimes just comes out with clumsy and ill- thought out comments. I don’t think there was any intent to be offensive (although I thought prem players had media training?). However, at work I have numerous meetings every day and while I may have said some stupid things in the past, there is still a filter that prevents me from getting into bother by saying anything about race, gender etc. … and it would certainly have stopped the word ‘Holocaust’ leaving my lips. But Joey doesn’t seem to have a filter … for spoken words or other behaviour (allegedly), which is fine unless you are representing a professional football club and doing at least two media interviews per week.
3. Why did the police keep Newport fans behind only to let about 20 of them head straight for the Welly. They were ‘waved’ off fairly swiftly but I really don’t understand police tactics sometimes!

I think we’re doing something like collecting rainwater at the new training ground aren’t we? A small step in the right direction I suppose. Unless I’m really stupid , but where does that water come from out of my tap in the kitchen? Rainwater somewhere possibly? I don’t claim to be a scientist 😉

I am surprised the club doesn't do more. Solar panels on the stands, collecting rainwater for recycling, living roofs on the pasty huts/shipping containers/portacabins, more environmentally friendly transport for the team/SC coaches (ie like the poo bus), car share plans for players and supporters etc. They could also try and attract some local environmentally savvy youngsters ie why kill the planet by catching the bus to Ashton Gate, when you can walk to the Mem! There are lots of things they can do. A drop in the ocean, I know, but every little helps. I think we’re doing something like collecting rainwater at the new training ground aren’t we? A small step in the right direction I suppose.

If after 2 years we still haven’t sorted out our striker problem, f@ck knows how long it will take us to sort out climate change.

I remember the Ashton gate one - have a memory of Jocky stamping on Dave Smith (his head I think?). Whatever happened to those Rovers v City pre-season ‘friendlies’? They were great!

Sorry if this is an unpopular opinion but I’d have rather us drawn a non league team. Just a higher chance of being on TV and the toughness is a bit overstated, last time it happened we ended up beating Darlington 6-0, an away trip to a good L1 will be harder. I get your point axegas but we are in a nose lose situation as regards positivity about the place. Losing to a non league team would be a real hammer blow and create more negativity with Barton etc. Oxford is a free shot, we're not expected to go through, if we lose so be it. A “nose lose situation”?! I know it can get a bit feisty at Oxford but was hoping it wouldn’t be that bad! 😁
