Is that the Team drinking before the game ? Disgraceful. No, it’s the GHS (senior wing).

Would be good at away games if you could have a choice between ‘allocated’ and ‘unallocated’ tickets (with separate areas obviously). Might not solve the problem completely but would go some way to helping.

Maybe this is what we’ve been waiting for before being able to submit our new stadium plans!

Well, as it stands currently, it’s easier to get into this match than it is a League game for which many have paid for a ST that you may as well wipe your arse with as it doesn’t work with the Ticketmaster system. Gawd help us…., Think yourself lucky - us new paid up ST holders don’t even have anything to wipe out arses with yet!

Exactly this. Changing everything up again now will serve no purpose. By the end of December we will surely have a manger we can all get behind - either Joey on the back of improving results (and having been cleared by the courts), or a new one with a transfer window ahead of them. And potentially cut adrift near the bottom of L2. Good plan So what do we do? Start again with a new manager and the transfer window shut? Like you, I’m no fan of Barton, I just think the timing of sacking him now would possibly just make things worse. And given time he might prove us wrong. If we are starting to get cut adrift by, say, November time, then I think he’ll be gone anyway. I also think that by November / December, there are likely to be more managerial candidates available than right at the start of the season. Who knows. I think we can all agree it’s been a complete f&@king mess for the last couple of years!

I don't think Ellis will come back. He lost a lot of weight when he had Covid, and Danny Cowley is talking about building him back up, getting his lungs working properly, as he can be an asset to Portsmouth when he's firing on all cylinders. Good spot, it sounds like an unfit Harrison is the last player we need at present. That’s what worried me a bit when reading the article and maybe why interest from others has cooled and we are on with a chance? Signing someone needing a couple of weeks to regain match fitness after a layoff is one thing but recovering 100% from this kind illness could be more problematic. I don’t know much about ‘long covid’ but clearly some people are taking months and months to get over symptoms like fatigue and breathlessness. He would presumably be a high earner too.

I didn't want Barton appointed in the first place, really disliked the atmosphere on here when he was, not impressed by his interviews and obviously the results are not good enough. Also thought he should have been put on gardening leave over the latest court case. But..... We can't keep chopping and changing managers plus wholesale changes to playing and coaching staff. That rarely ends well. I feel we need to finish off the transfer window and let the team develop. There is niw no time realistically to sack Barton, get in a new manager and for them to assess change the players, it's last season all over again. The time to change has passed us now until December when either results or the court cases, or all of them, force Wael’s hand. If that happens then it gives time for a new manager to be sought and the January window to bring in fresh faces. Exactly this. Changing everything up again now will serve no purpose. By the end of December we will surely have a manger we can all get behind - either Joey on the back of improving results (and having been cleared by the courts), or a new one with a transfer window ahead of them.

I listened carefully and when he says ‘five’, he’s not clear whether that’s five deals in AND out or just incoming. He seems to say mutter something about a ‘couple’ in and then says maybe 27 or 28 having been moved on by the end of the window from a current total of 24. He mentions 18 new players in total but I’m not sure if he means that’s the current total or what he expects to get to (anyone know how many new faces we have so far?). So I’m wondering if he means 2 incoming, with 2 or 3 outgoing? If so, I’m worrying that the two incoming might just be the ageing players we have training with us. We’ll see I suppose. Thats seems correct i make it 13 signed so far Belshaw Hughes Taylor Thomas Anderton Clarke Finley Coutts Spence Pitman Anderson Saunders Collins In that case, that does sound like up to 5 incoming, which gives me a little more hope of us getting what we need.

This must free up the budget for some hell of a couple Marquis signings - I won’t hold my breath but what forward do we have left outside of an injured Brett Pitman It’s worrying isn’t it? So when Pitman’s injured it’s Saunders, Collins (neither supposedly natural no.9s) and 2/3 youngsters. I will be underwhelmed to say the least if we end up with someone in their mid 30s and a perhaps a youngster on loan. Hope to be pleasantly surprised in the next few days.

So Liddel and Baldwin have moved North of the border. Is it just a coincidence or have they been reading this thread and fancied a piece of the culinary action?

Nothing received here either and no updates. You would have thought some regular communication would reduce the work for their call centre team.
Not too bothered if they can issue e-tickets for Crawley but hate having to wait for the paper ones in the post. Couldn’t understand why they had to use paper ones last time around because when I phoned to say that my kids hadn’t been issued tickets they were able to email me them in literally seconds.
As mentioned above my account also no longer states that I’m a season ticket holder (just that I have a membership), but record of buying one is still in accounts history. I think it’s more of an issue with the layout which I think changed rather than anything to worry about.
I am beginning to doubt whether ST cards will arrive any time soon (and I was looking forward to getting my first one too!). And as for those membership packs … who knows!

Unfortunately they can’t let his calls go straight to voicemail because he rambles on until the capacity is used up! Allegedly he recites Einstein's theory of relativity, to put people off asking questions So he should at least understand the gravity of our situation.

Is it an away strip pastiche Jock ? I think of we’d sent that out Saturday it would have performed better.

Thank you. I am driving so not looking forward to 11hrs in the car (5 1/2 each way going by google maps last Friday) It will be longer than that on a bank holiday weekend. You’re welcome! It shouldn’t be too bad. I mean, who travels up to the Lake District on an August bank holiday weekend? 😬

Damn it my ticket has arrived! Condolences. I’ve definitely got an excuse now having contracted covid (despite being double jabbed). I suspect it was from one of the recent games ☹️
