I don’t mind if JB points out we won the second half this time!
Anyway, just got back. Walsall were a poor side and we very also very poor at times and I still worry where the goals are going to some from, BUT the players did show heart, commitment and passion to push on and win the game . So will this paper over the cracks or prove a turning point? Not convinced it will be the latter but it certainly will have helped boost confidence in a team which earlier on in the game seemed to lack it at times. Fingers crossed my scepticism is unfounded and it is a turning point. It may well have bough Joey time, but maybe more importantly for Weal bought him some time also rather than being forced into a decision now. Another win and he might be able to hang on to see the outcomes of the court cases, which might make his life easier.
Finally, shows how starved of good times we are when an equaliser against Walsall sparks a mini pitch invasion!

Anyone know if you can still park for free in that retail park near the ground?

Wonder if this thread will get to 400 pages I doubt it will remain current for long enough.

My son got a mini goal, mini ball, face paint, a few cones and a poster with this years squad in old rovers kits through the years very classy to be fair 👏🏻. The kids were happy with it. Personally I did find the poster a bit weird (cartoon-like faces pasted onto other bodies!)

My tickets for Exeter and Mansfield didn’t arrive until the Tuesday or Wednesday before the games so not expecting anything until middle of next week. Worst case scenario, they arrive in time and I’ve got to go to the game. Nah….worse would be they arrive in time, you don’t go and we win 0-3. But thinking about it…….I’m probably getting delusional……😝 I was on the phone to my wife as I was leaving the Mem on Saturday and she told me they’d just arrived. Talk about rubbing salt in the wound.

I do know that they had to cough up 500k last year for overcharging customers.

2 posts and joined a few days ago? Hmmmm....🤔 Methinks not a completely serious poster. could just be a Gashead who has finally lost the plot … and given how things have been with the club lately I’m not surprised.

Apologies to GGMI if I’m stealing your thunder by dragging up an old thread, but was impressed today when two Young Pirates membership packs arrived in the post. I can only assume this is automatic given the kids are now ST holders on a family card. I hadn’t specifically ticked a box or anything (as I had done to claim my free membership) and had given up on them being entitled to a membership or receiving anything given the hassle it was just to get ticketmaster to realise that they needed ST cards as well as me.
Fair play though.
(… or maybe it’s just Wael splashing by the cash in celebration of a certain somebody stepping down! 😉)

Yeah, and I do get that. Another example is that as I left the ground, stewards and police were trying to stop people walking across the car park to the far exit, but everyone was so totally f*€ked off with what they’d just seen that they just pushed on past and gave the stewards an earful. I think we’re all definitely more sensitive, tetchy and pi&£ed off than usual. I noticed that. What was the reasoning for it? I thought they were protecting some of the cars in the car park? I think they wanted to clear the way for Orient fans leaving, plus there were a few of our GHS under 12s division hanging around by the looks of it.

Apologies if this has been picked up and posted already, but one thing that caught my attention in JB’s post match comments was when he said about Leon Clarke’s injury: “… it could be the end of his football career, not just the end of his season, we just don’t know”.
So that’s possibly it then? Just Pitman as our main striker until January (if he stays fit … or even gets fit as some might argue)? I know we have have Collins and Saunders but they’re not the same type of player.

Is it just me who’s thinking that everyone is reading far too much into that tweet? I didn’t see it as a dig at anyone, just a light hearted joke. Everyone is sensitive as they see us sleep walking into a relegation, we ve never replaced matty T and we are still suffering as a result. Yeah, and I do get that. Can’t decide. It’s either not selling Eastville or not buying a cremated sausage roll at the last game. Neither turned out well.

The only positive I can think of is - as you say - we aren't away!!!! Orient have started pretty well, but this is sort of game we've got to be winning, period. I do wonder whether Barton will be sacked if we lose this one. I don't see any way he could be kept on surely. Not sure he would go after Saturday but we’re definitely getting to the point now where we really need to be seeing some positive signs - even if it is a narrow draw or defeat but much better performance. I think if we have two poor performances against orient and Walsall and then get turned over by BG’s Swindon at home, then that will be the game where his support from most fans and Wael would surely evaporate. Really hoping Saturday is the day everything clicks though and we go on a winning run.

Here's a question for anyone who cares to answer. Which of the following three would you take: A) Promotion back to L1 with confirmation that there will be no new or redeveloped stadium any time soon; B) Consolidate in L2 and announcement of modest but definite Mem redevelopment with a couple of new stands; C) Relegation to Conference but announcement of definite brand new stadium? Has to be C. … although a bit unfair of Wael to make us choose.
