I hope the club appeal against this farcical decision.
If we involve a legal team, I hope and pray it is not the legal team used by the previous regime.
Whilst I appreciate everyone were well aware of the "terms and conditions" regarding this completion, it cannot be right that:-
1 - Different rules apply to the U23 Academy teams and the rest 2 - The rules appear to have changed AFTER the competition is underway
I assume that we CANNOT not take part but at the next Chairman's meeting next year I would hope that all participating Chairman would vote this down as I am lead to believe that this was a one year deal.
Even the clubs that voted for this thought that all the Premiership Academy teams were taking part and apart from Chelsea, they all declined to take part.
And where are the best Chelsea u23 players? Over 40 of them out on loan to get experience so just the dregs getting trotted out for efl trophy games. No chance they will turn into players that will benefit England team just a way of putting them in shop windows so they can make a few quid.

Absolute Chuffing disgrace. And to think that Luton fielded their youth team in one of their matches and actually won the game. Of course our resident sh*thead on the FA is saying that he (Scudamore) wants the same format for next year. And to think that Exeter and Yeovil among others actually think it has been a success. If the under 23's or whatever they are can opt in or out, why can't the rest of us?. More to the point, why should they field foreign players? It's meant to be helping OUR national side. Perhaps clubs that don't want to be in this heap of crap can join together and fund a law suit to sue Scudamore PERSONALLY. Once a sh*thead, always a sh*thead. I think that u23 teams being in efl trophy is a joke but the justification for them being included was to develop English talent so why are they playing foreign players in this competition? Surely it is u23 teams that should be getting fined for not respecting the spirit of the competition!

Yes fair play to him and I agree with all he has said but there is a certain irony that the manager of a franchise is preaching about the Prem/Championship teams buying a place in this competition.

Lewis Haldane.
Not really....it was when Stewie left for Huddersfield. The fact they had just beaten us in the play off final made it ten times worse.
