Where Barton gave a response justifying his position - and not denying it or threatening them with legal action if they publish it. He even got a snide comment on the number of keepy-uppies in there. It seems to me that Barton wanted them to publish the story so he could whip up yet more publicity with his protestations of fabrications etc. He will claim that the media are trying to silence/cancel him because of whatever latest conspiracy he is peddling. Total loser. Notice you have been staying silent about the ****** *** job monotone Matt is doing, now he is a loser, no wins in 6 six games, no goals in six games, and the team he built this season has already been relegated back to division 1, the "king is dead long live the king"; wasn't it you big boy who said you would tell Joey what you though about him to his face, how's that going, hahaha thought not. So many unpleasant and unnecessary comments in that post it's quite breathtaking.

P’Boro were certain he was leaving right up to the last minutes of the transfer window and had already made new signings and re-shaped their attack. They weren’t going to just drop all their plans because his transfer collapsed. It’s not like he’s not getting games solely because his form had previously fallen off a cliff - he just doesn’t fit what they are now doing. He’s still plenty good enough to play in any side in this division and be at the top of the scoring charts next season - imo. We can find his stats for the whole season with a bit of searching and a spreadsheet... ...1336 mins in the league (so approx 15 full games). Seven league goals which is one every 191 minutes. Not prolific, not disastrous. Probably not the solution to a team that needs a fit, prolific striker... That's still equivalent to just over 21 goals per season, despite being pretty much hung out to dry at Peterborough, and he's not even 30 yet. I'm not sure where we would get such a proven goalscorer for nothing (albeit with a chunky wage bill) and he could be just the thing we need for two years to get us a top 6 finish. He might not be ideal nowadays but he's still good and he might actually want to come here.

The team Monotone Taylor built at the beginning of this season before getting the sack at Rotherham, were pathetic last night, beaten by Argyle and as a result relegated. The same clown in the past six games as BRFC manager as resided over no wins and his team have not scored a single goal. Today he had Jordy Rossiter, arguably the best footballer at the club available, and left him on the bench. I really hope the owners know what they are doing as from what I watched this afternoon, I saw a manager on touch line throughout the match with his arms crossed, no pattern of play, and a honest bunch of players who were generally going through the motions. Does this bode well for the future and can he be aloud to build another squad ? hmm. You can't blame Taylor for the performance of 'his' squad after he's left and also for the performance of Barton's squad now he's here. One or the other but you can't have it both ways. And your continued descriptions of him as monotone are a bit juvenile, but I expect you find it funny.

I'm getting worried about the squad under Taylor now. They seem to have nothing whatsoever to give or offer, including pride, determination and respect.
He seems to have lost them so we need either a miracle to get some of this lot to play for him or a massive clear out.

Nope , I’ll be voting tactically. ABC 👍 I don't agree with tactical voting, particularly for the Lib Dems who are implicit in Austerity and what followed after propping up Cameron in coalition or have you forgotten that? When I lived in Horsham, West Sussex, for thirty years, I voted 'tactically' for the Lib Dems since they were the only possibility of beating the Tories and their huge majority (over 20,000). Until, that was, 2010, and the shameless coalition where Clegg abandoned his beliefs for a taste of power. A disastrous decision, since the Lib Dems have been spanked on the arse by the millions who might have voted for them and have been decimated in the House of Commons. I will probably never vote for them again for fear of something similar happening, although I never say never. Even though I said it three times in the last sentence.

Complicated issue this one. A lot of people who consider themselves liberal, as do I, might rush to defend the rights of people to be who they want. But I know a few women, two of whom are committed feminists, who are deeply uncomfortable with the male to female trans thing and the idea that they should be considered whatever sex they see themselves as, with the right to act, and be, and integrate with women as a woman.
Ricky Gervais gets the idea.

All fingers and toes crossed that we don't get a hammering. With flip flops suncream and passports at the ready I'm not sure we have the fight left in us, apart from Chris Martin, who's made it clear he fights in every game.
Still, it's the time of the year when nerves kick in, form goes out of the window, and anything can happen.

It was good fun for a year but I suspect the novelty would have worn off pretty rapidly and within a couple of seasons we would have been playing in front of 5,000 or less. Yes but clubs can always get back, even after a prolonged spell in the NL. Chesterfield have just stormed it after several years with crowds of 10,000, and let's never forget Luton. A lot of people have said it would have been the death of the club if we had lingered down there, but there's always a way back up, and with crowds of 5,000 on a much much lower playing budget we would have come good eventually. Well I think so anyway.

You despise them, and they despise you. Fancy that. I don't support a football club that plays in the Welsh league though do I and complain every game about the welsh. If they hate the English so much join their own countries league. They wouldn't be missed that's for sure. You know as well as I do that Cardiff, Swansea, Wrexham and Newport are not going to play in the Welsh league, so it's obviously a silly thing to suggest. As for hate, apart from your hate of their fans "in general" (no generalisation there then), I'm sure the animosity between Man U and Man C, Man U and Liverpool, Millwall and West Ham, us and the other lot, and many many more examples, equals or exceeds any hatred from the Welsh towards English clubs. It's football culture and it's all the worse for it, as are your attitudes.

They shouldn't even be in our league its not called the English and Welsh football league. I find the fans of Cardiff Swansea and Wrexham on the whole to be utter Special lady gardens who despise the English. f**k off and play in the Welsh leagues if you hate us so much. You despise them, and they despise you. Fancy that.

Just watched the Beautiful Game on Netflix. It's about the Homeless World Cup. Worth a watch. It's quite funny with Bill Nighy playing the England Coach. Not heard of this but will watch it. Thanks for the recommendation.

You think? Of course, hopefully they will get trounced at the next GE You been kicked off the other forum again? (And'81/ITB, too?) Some are getting a little too excited over Reform catching the Conservatives up in polling. I haven't been on there for ages but had a look tonight. Who is this maniac ltdgas? It's a new name to me (although I'm not a regular) but he's been around since 2014 apparently. Must be a change of username. He's got the full set of bigotry, racism, venom, fear and bad spelling. Funny how the latter often goes with the ones before.

How come when the Labour membership propose a swing towards socialism it's an undemocratic hard left coup, and when the Tories do the equivalent it's a return to traditional values?

Kensington & Chelsea 🙄 posh git. I'd say I wish, but I honestly really don't. Hammersmith & Fulham 👍 Take a guess who we're run by 😇 I thought all Labour councils were run by woke gay communists who stole money to fund fact finding missions to Cuba. Who knew?

I’m guessing you don’t have the 100% belief in him you once had then 😂 I've never had 100% belief in him - stop chatting sh*te; historically I've probably been his most vocal "hater"! I gave him credit where credit was due following promotion. In hindsight that was a mistake, and I got carried away after the signing of a player who was Premiership standard. Had it not been for the Geordie Maradona, we'd still be in L2 - that is a fact. Excluding that momentary lapse of sense, in the midst of utter euphoria following a shock 7-0 win, I've been thoroughly consistent in my assessment of him as a complete and utter c unt. You specifically said on 13th May 2022, in a post you've deleted but which was quoted: "You won't catch me calling for your head next season - you have my full 100% belief in you now." No need to tell people they are chatting sh*te when they actually aren't. An apology for getting him right, then wrong, then right again is fine. We all make mistakes. No need to deny what you said. It was an error of judgement and no more. But don't pretend it didn't happen.

Is that the best you can come up with? 🤣 With electoral wipeout forecast for the party of the rich and entitled, and oddly some working class people who haven't thought this whole voting in your interests thing through? Eh?? What are you banging on about. For a start I'm far from rich and entitled and wouldn't put myself in the working class bracket so you got that all very wrong. Anyway crack on and enjoy your Easter break. Maybe I should have said ordinary working people instead of working class. Point taken. But the days of voting for freedom and choice and avoiding the threat of a left wing socialist republic are long gone. The Tory party today is well past its sell by date, reliant on those rich and entitled people to prop them up and needing to plant scare stories about the alternatives at every opportunity. Add to that the corruption, backhanders, mismanagement of Brexit, the sheer breathtaking hypocrisy of the people in power during lockdown continuing to party hearty, the high inflation, the missed trade opportunities, the limp stagnant economy and the scary prospect of the new right wingers ever coming to power. And you mention the Mayor of London and VAT on school fees as your chosen top current subjects? Yes I suppose I can see why you opt to put a tick in the box next to Conservative.

I think one or two are scrubbing around, for reasons known only to themselves and a marginalised group of others with the same mindset, trying to find isolated cases of unfortunate (but extremely rare) side effects.
I'm not sure what it achieves, what point they are trying to prove, or how it can in any way help anybody.
