Yes ,I can hear it sang slow and with the I don't give a monkey attitude. I really like it..simple and catchy. Can't resist a few changes though. Blue Army.....oh oh Joe's Barmy....oh oh oh oh They laugh when they come to the Mem But now we're laughing at them... Blue Army....oh oh Etc...

Wael has proved to me at least, that his interests are with the Club, otherwise he'd have sold the Mem to a Builder and walked away leaving us without a Club by now. One extreme to the other! Of course you can still be a decent owner with interests of the club at heart whilst accepting you just don't have the financial wherewithal to take the club to the level it could be at. He has enough for us to survive as a lower league club in a dilapidated stadium from a bygone age and that seems plenty good enough for most fans, so he's all good. That's pretty much how I see the situation too. He has a very easy ride from the fans, so things are unlikely to change soon. Oh well. I'm sure he will continue to do enough to keep us viable and hopefully treading water, and for that I'm grateful. I don't doubt his good faith for a moment.

Bit odd really how all the previous England managers apparently only failed because they faced tough opponents, and Southgate has only been more successful than all of his predecessors because he's faced easy opponents

Nice to see that Rashford was the only member of the starting 11 not singing the national anthem . . . I couldn't give a flying f+ck about that. Why do you? It's not about the Royal Family.

Come on don't give up that easily....you started it with your 5 new posters having some hidden significance now you can't be bothered Hidden significance? I was just asking why now new posters. Dear oh dear, no wonder long time posters can't be bothered with this place anymore. Good riddance to the miserable old gits. It's fresh young blood like us who keep this place alive and vibrant.

I can only imagine Starmer is being economical with the truth. Says he'll keep us out of a single market in order to regain lost votes from working class reactionaries, and then when in/if in power will negotiate a single market type deal.

What , qualifying yet again ? Yeah , you’ve gotta give him credit . This anti-Southgate thing is a mystery to me. World Cup semi final 2018. Euro finals 2020. Qualified from group 2022. Possibly not the time to sack our most successful manager in 56 years...oh hang on we didn't beat the USA. Southgate OUT!!!!

For Wales to go through they have to beat England and USA-Iran must be a draw. Possible?

All this tippy tappy stuff isn't working. I suggest we start hoofing it up the pitch to Kane....

Yes, the new owners tried to buy the ground but were outbid by Ashley. Not going to end well is it? The whole Ricoh/Coventry stadium story has been a farce and a fiasco. Someone has lost a LOT of money here, although I doubt they'll ever pay it back, and Ashley has picked it up for peanuts. Wouldn't trust the bloke at all. I know we moan about Wael but I cannot believe he'd ever get us into such a situation.

You do zoom in like a heat-seeking missile on anything vaguely lefty-liberal though, even if the cause is well meaning and helpful to a majority. Perhaps you're not aware of it and you can't help yourself, or you know exactly what you're doing. Unlike when someone posts something on here that is deemed right of centre - then you have a whole gang of heat seeking missiles zooming in. The battle cry goes up “we’ve got another one lads” and the missiles start getting prepped for action !! Yes indeed, but they admit that's what they stand for and do in response. The other chap pretends he doesn't.

The things you list are equally if not more important but much less easily solvable. Treating people fairly and equally regardless of gender, colour or sexual orientation should be a lot easier to fix and yet some how it has not been. I was always taught that you fix multiple problems by tackling the the low hanging fruit. Certainly not by saying "oh, let's not fix that because there are bigger issues" as you appear to advocate. To pass off the idea of being kinder to others as a cult is utter nonsense too. Where I do agree with you is that (The West) British people could and should do much more to solve our own problems before we decide to berate every other world culture. I am not sure if that means direct action, voting habits or simply better education of our children but given some of your posts in other threads I imagine you would not agree with any of these potential solutions either because it is much easier to take snide pot shots from the wings at stupid, woke, liberal, lefty cult members than it is to actually do anything positive. On the contrary, I raise plenty of money for charity. That’s the correct function to try to help people, rather than forcing people to. It’s not “being kinder to others”. If it were to be “kinder to others” that would encompass all the things we’ve both said. It’s focussing strictly on racism, sexism and homophobia, exclusively. Helping the elderly is some low hanging fruit? How about helping old people who are on their own? I’m not interested in any of your diversions, neither you or oldie, in bringing up other viewpoints because it’s juvenile in group/our group nonsense. We are discussing this issue, not raking up what you can from other posts. You do zoom in like a heat-seeking missile on anything vaguely lefty-liberal though, even if the cause is well meaning and helpful to a majority. Perhaps you're not aware of it and you can't help yourself, or you know exactly what you're doing.

Nice little video about Oscar/Brian here with a small tribute from our very own DC. I hadn't realised he was 82 when he died. That's a good innings. RIP

Well done Tony. The sort of player any club would be grateful to have on their books Bit of a Gas legend IMO and we (well bloody Garner) let him go too soon.

Is this the team england are supposed to be afraid of? Yanks have dominated this contest whilst wales carry old man bale and his crock mate Ramsay. Keffier moore talking of knocking us out two days ago, embarrassing🤣🤣🤣 I expect they will up their game considerably when they face England.

What a great thread!
Did you Google 'Gas forums' or something? You've come to the right place.
