The draw has created much excitement, understandably, BUT we do have a very difficult replay to win, If Norwich decide they want it badly enough and field the first team the odds will be stacked against us, (yes i know I'm a killjoy!) As others have said we will not be playing Liverpool the Premiership leaders ,but a representative 11 of that club, still a great away day for those who have not been there, probably only bettered by Spurs , The Mancs, Newcastle away. Not a great draw for Maidstone, Wrexham and co, great incentive for Eastleigh / Newport though, Gas heads may be in dream land but just think of the excitement at Eastleigh when they heard the draw!! After all not usually a place for excitement, though they did make us very welcome a few years back! As for fans supporting teams other than their home town clubs, never used to be thus back in the day, you were either Rovers or City , difficult to pinpoint when it started but i do know that Millions of Football fans world wide became Man United fans post Munich, perhaps it grew from there? Back in the day it was quite common to support both teams .. My late father regularly went to Rovers and City's home games in the 60s ...

68/69 Season Home v Bournemouth & Boscombe... My dad used to take me to Rovers on the train one week and City by bus the week after. I hated that bus ride, and the rest is history ...

It became apparent that Pearson had more questions than answers and the hierarchy at Bristol Sport 82 didnt like that. I'm only submising but I reckon he had plans to reinvest some of the Scott money and build a team around some of their promising youngsters, but got a firm no.
I've got some sympathy for Pearson, despite being arch rivals... Deserved better than that lot ...

This is terribly sad news. I was there that day he got down on his knees and headed the ball in.
Believe we lost 6-1 to the red heathens. I remember feeling very envious as a kid at the time that Rovers didn't have a Chris Garland in our side.
Rest in peace Chris, you might of been a red, but you were a legend and I'll always remember you as exactly that.

My 7 yr old wants to see the s**t... What do I do I would be inclined to take them to a s**t preseason game, where the standard of play and atmosphere is usually poor, and then take them to a big game down at the Mem where its likely to be rocking. Is the atmosphere at a pre season friendly any different to the normal match day experience you get at the rugby ground ? ... Asking for a friend ..

Will no doubt get shot down for this but Flint could be a great signing for us, but we can't afford him. A tall leader of the back four who wins headers. His departure paves the way for Taylor, so that look a no go. Always rated Clucas and Powell as well but age and wages will probably be against them signing for us. I will load the gun! No thanks ! Never want to see another of their ex washed up players here again…….. Mark Little, David Clarkson anyone ? I'll raise you, Lee Matthews & John Akinde..

Bless the poor little mites, they certainly do seem to have a very unhealthy interest.
As I said previously I did wonder why they reference us saying that we think "we are coming for them" when quite clearly the clowns are doing a magnificent job at coming for us.
They really are a strange lot down the rugby ground

Just a feeling that it'll be something underwhelming like Stockport County away .. Don't ask me for the logic

Slightly off topic, I wish the Ted's would stop whining about us coming for them.
They're doing a pretty good job coming for us 😀...

Be prepared for 82 trolling. It's on its way. Do you know something we don’t or is this just a hunch? I think the poster may be making reference to the very unhealthy obsession the wooden heads south of the river have with us ..

Help me out. Livescore has both Conference playoff final, Wrexham v Notts County/Grimsby and Port Vale v Mansfield Lg2 final on the same day. They can't all be playing at Wembley? Saturday 28th? Wrexham v Notts C / Grimsby is a semi final so not at Wembley. Notts C / Grimsby Playing on 23rd May Halifax / Chesterfield will play Solihull in the other semifinal. Halifax / Chesterfield Playing on 24th May Dont know when the final is tho. The final is on Sunday 5th June..
