I very much enjoyed the last GasCast episode where a historic tweet was read to one of the presenters where he was calling for JB to go back in Christmas. He was pressed to apologise for it and said " if you can’t call for your manager's head after being relegated bottom of the league ten points from safety, then find yourself 17th at Christmas with Brett Pitman leading a high press in a 3-4-3 then when can you?" No need to apologise for having an evidence-based opinion. It is also worth noting that a lot of the negativity to Barton from our fanbase was not necessarily rooted around the footballing side of his involvement with the club. Something which probably won't have changed just by us playing well and being successful on the pitch... Your last point. There will no doubt be people who still feel uncomfortable with JBs track record and recent negative press. What we have seen though is that playing well and winning games does change the general negativity around JB. We have sold out matches in succession. The whole stadium has been cheering his name. Thousands of away fans have been repeatedly singing his song. National media have been giving him positive reviews. The negative stuff has been buried, and is only held by those few who are by the way, perfectly entitled and justified in their opinions. Most if not all of the negativity was enhanced by the football performances. The proof of that is clear as day and the fickleness is there, crystally clear. WRT apologies, that is up to individuals and there are obviously a few different personality types on these boards. It wouldn't make a difference really, but those who pin their thoughts to a public mast are there to be shot at when it turns out differently. People who hold their hands up generally get 'respect' but it's an anonymous forum so people can play as they wish without much comeback. I'd feel embarrassed if I'd written some of the sh1t on here, but that's me. I just hope our fanbase is a little more forward thinking next time we have a wobble. It won't be long. good post

Work in the morning, rush home to get ready, back to Horfield, few beers in the clubhouse. I’m hopefully then celebrating, down Gloucester Rd. Either way, what a season so far! UTG

Forest Green 89 Exeter City 87 Northampton 80 Bristol Rovers 80 Port Vale 78 Sutton 77 Mansfield 76 My new prediction, I believe we'll get 6 points, but Northampton will go above us on goal difference exactly my thoughts! I’ve felt all along, that goal difference will keep us out! Oh well I’m pretty confident about the playoff’s UTG

Congratulations to FGR, a tremendous achievement for them, we didn’t even score against them this season. The bit at the end, just made me laugh, it was like a comedy sketch. Let’s all move on. Two to go, Al to play for! UTG

9590 the crowd, so even with zero segregation the capacity is now 2000 less than pre covid. Not really fit for purpose. 🥱

your negativity is boring If you are not with us you are against us, i find that both a threat to the fan base and dangerous. Your thoughts on me are irrelevant and i really don’t care. I am totally indifferent to this. UTG 💙

Every time I went to any gig, he was there! Proper mental dancing and sweating! Loved a gig that boy A Bristol legend. I saw Franz Ferdinand at the Thekla and Alex the lead singer was acknowledging his appearances everywhere. Think most bands are now given the heads up I was at that gig👍🏽

Somebody was asking where the bloke was who used to push his way into the north enclosure about 3pm. His name is Martin and he's still around but the ginger has now turned grey,he lives down the 'Mead' He stopped going when the gas moved to the Mem. didn’t like the travelling?

When watching from the north enclosure at Eastville, as four 6 foot plus 16-yearolds we all got to the games early doors having had a bottle of natch or two en route but at 5 to three a biker with a mass of long (way past his shoulders) wiry ginger hair arrived and pushed through the crowd and moved us out of his position. Anyone remember him? There is someone who does that at gigs now. Big Jeff - again with a mass of fuzzy ginger hair. Got cult status. He most have gone to 200+ gigs a year pre covid.

Another really good performance from the team yesterday, I agree we are missing that Taylor like striker! But I genuinely believe, we will put 3 past someone soon. Had we scored early yesterday, it would of been convincing. Tranmere never looked to take the game to us. Again our supporters were superb, literally didn’t stop encouraging all game. On to Friday, which is set up, to be some game. UTG
