First game was Rovers first home match after England won the World Cup in 1966. Dad gave me two bob extra pocket money. Haven’t a clue who against. My favourite all time player has to be Harold.

I want to be drawn to a top side away when I can actually go and watch them. Today I want a home draw against someone we can beat. Enabling us, perhaps, to get to the next round for some much needed money and to be able to see them somewhere special.

Jaakkola 6 no chance with the goals.
Kilgour 4 looked uncomfortable Ehmer 7 Good game MOM Harries 6 defended well
Hare 5 poor crosses Grant 7 worked hard Westbrooke 6 worked hard Nicholson 5 One shot, great block to stop him scoring Tutonda 5 looked as though he wasn't fully fit
Daly 5 ran around Hanlan 6 well marshalled
Subs: Koiki 5 should have scored. Oztumer 6 looked lively needs to start. Mitchell-Lawson 5 okay
Ref 4 how many times did he get in the way. Peterborough 7 looked comfortable once they went ahead

Positional sense is acute. Does it need working on? I think you’re being obtuse. 😏 A reflex response

The post reads
Hello ,
I saw in a video on Facebook that there are hardly any spectators or no spectators in the stadium, but there are banners hanging - I would like to hang up mine too! Yes, I trust you and would send the thing to one of you and he / she hangs it up in the stadium and sometime when spectators are allowed again I'll come over from Berlin.
Ps: The motif is then in my avatar.
Sorry that I write in German, it's a bit more complicated with the cell phone.

Over 2,600 fans tuned in to watch our last league game on iFollow! Have to admit I am disappointed so few are following Rovers on iFollow. I know it is not the same as being there, but I would have thought more would be watching. What I don't know if that was pay on the day or includes season ticket holders who have already paid, whichever still surprisingly low. Is that 2,600 accounts on iFollow who signed up? If so, there could well be others in the same household watching the same link. Hence the "over" reference.

I was walking down to my local shop and saw the smoke just rising above the houses. Made my way down and stood under the M32 and looked on in horror as the fire took hold. The fire engines soon arrived. A few people soon joined me. It felt as the my world had collapsed around me.

August/September1966 when I was 10. Was allowed to go with my brother. No idea who it was against but I was hooked

Their substitutions worked for them. They plugged the holes we were finding in the first half. Our subs were off the pace. Their goal came from mistakes by both Sercombe and Little. I hope the injury to Hare isn’t as bad as it looked

Sectarianism and racism can be argued that they run along the same parallel lines.

I am a Lesbian who has been subjected to homophobia in the past which I found extremely distressing. I have been watching the Gas since 1966. I acknowledge that by going to football I am likely to hear chants on a variety of matters that I could find amusing, emotive, boring or downright uncomfortable. There is a fine line between acceptable and unacceptable. I am glad to know that we have, mainly, moved on from the racist chants, except the one where the IRA is mentioned. I am also pleased that the different type of abuse the female officials got has diminished. I think the chant about a certain someone and death totally unacceptable. Homophobic abuse is, for me, hard to take. But some banter is amusing. Again fine lines. Ok explain how the no surrender chant is racist, as not in a million years could that be deemed racist

Justin Fashanu came out. He was the first openly gay footballer. A tragic end

Spent the afternoon flicking between the cricket and tennis. Both were brilliant. But England winning took it.

Out of interest tinkerbell , have you been involved in woman’s football ? I’d like to know if the crowds are now getting bigger ? I used to watch but other things got in the way. When I did watch, crowds were sparse. I did enjoy the skill levels very much. I think our club made a huge mistake in letting our original ladies team go but I’m led to believe it was due to financing it rather than not wanting it. Maybe you could clear that up if you are able. Thanks in advance I was allowed to play for a team in 1971 after the ban was lifted. The PE teacher wanted me to play for the school side but I wasn’t allowed. The first team I joined did only play in front of small crowds. The better teams had bigger crowds but again sparse. Biggest crowd I played in front of was just over 2000. There were some excellent players around. Imagine if there had been proper coaching. It was expensive as the league covered a massive area. I got badly injured two weeks before going training with the England team. I was also a qualified ref. After the the end of my career I took some coaching awards and did coach the girls for a short while until rovers took them over. I thought it was a shame when the club let the girls go. I think they missed the boat. It must have been still expensive. oh to be fifty years younger and all the opportunities there are today for girls who love football.

Are you for real. I could say worse but I’m too much of a lady to drop my standards to yours. And I bet even at my age I could give you the runaround with the ball at my feet. When the fa lifted the ban on women’s football in 1971 I joined a local team. Yes I am an old git. The league we played in went from Plymouth in the south over to Swindon and across to Port Talbot. The women’s game has come on in leaps and bounds since those early days. It still irks me that the FA banned the women as some teams back in the 1920’s were getting crowds of 20 thousand. Dick Kerr ladies of Preston were the best team back then. Claire Balding did a good documentary about the women’s game last year.
