He's back at WSM now of course. Do Weston have a decent team at the moment then with these 2 Pirate? I went to watch the fa Cup game vs Wrexham a couple of seasons ago. How would you compare their team now to then? Grubb could have stayed in League Two and had interest from Yeovil in the National League, but he was offered a 4 year deal and also secured a good teaching job at a local school. Similar for Scott Laird who could have stayed in League Two, but wanted to start his coaching career and felt the opportunity with Weston was too good to turn down. He also has links to the club with his brother a former player and his father a former manager at the club. Captain Greg Tindle and Nick McCootie both had contract offers to stay at Chippenham Town a level higher and in my opinion the loan signing from Cardiff, James Waite, could play in the Football League. The best squad they have had in a very long time and should be aiming for promotion. I used to play football with Scott's dad Craig, we played one of if not the last games on the Luton plastic pitch, one nil down at half time Craig moved to right back and took all the balls from the keeper. We played out from back all the second half and won 8-1, Craig had a brilliant football brain and what might have been even better was that he had one of the first little mobile TV's which we all used to watch on the coach trips.

I just hope giving him this *10* isn't going to be like touching the stove 10 times... Who does that? Ben ?

I’m not sure calling Ben Garner a ‘thing’ is in good taste. In fact it’s pretty poor. Very like his football then ?

You say striker, I akways think of that game where you press the guys head and his leg kicks the ball. You press a guys head. Amazing, the fun you can have with a steam iron and a good friend !

After last night I have to say I am pretty happy, I was not a gaffer fan but last night removed most of that. That was the best full game ( and some ) I have seen us produce for a long time, the young lads are very good and I think we have a few bob in the bank with these lads. They are our future, either in the quarters or sold on for good money. I guess a simple yes would have done. UTG.
