It's a pity the players can't give an honest opinion on the supporters, they have to say ' the are the best, brilliant, the 12th man ' I bet some would rather say ' I can't stick that Special lady garden in the front. But they have to stay loyal ! Funny old game ain't it.

Kicking the ball away is pure stupidity, you know what's going to happen if you do it, and you still choose to do it. Its a bit like taking your shirt off celebrating a goal, obviously the emotions involved between the two are complete opposites but you know the consequences. I welcome seeing passion and commitment from our players, but stuff like that is just petulant and lets everyone down. Not if you played for them ! You don't know what will happen because the Ref chooses to either book you, or if them, ignore it. 50/50 at best what will happen. I am not saying it's the best idea but it really is not a 100% booking as suggested.

Not to worry, if he had played for them it was ok to kick the ball away. I am sure you saw that as well ?

Any chance we can get Jezzer Corbyn to come down and give a lecture in the car park on how to boycott things and F them up ? We can have a ban the bomb sausage sizzle after maybe.

TBH i'm quite chuffed that we are this close to the season kicking off and there are only a few moans on the forum, christ look back a year or so there were enough complaints to wipe out the rain forest if printed ,this year a few minor gripes, so yes the new regime has indeed made some positive changes I just put the question to Wend about not speaking to the chairman her reply was so what i had a natter with daryl and the players, spoke to matteee, (or in the words of metallica nothing else matters) . I think most were there to speak to the boss and players ,natter with fans new n old. I'm sure for those with a chairman fetish( ) , there will probably be a q&a at some point You let your good Lady talk to Matty ? Dangerous game mate, dangerous game.

? Think you may have quoted the wrong post mate, because that makes no sense to me or anything that I wrote on my post. Unless you're saying that the op was made tongue in cheek which I'm 99% sure it wasn't. Yeah I made a mistake in quoting as it was supposed to be a post on its own. I will have to look but I think one of the posts said something about not bringing their kids under Steve Hamers tenure. Surely that has to be tongue in cheekLets hope it's part of his face !

You can't mention him, it's a bit like saying Corbyn is a fool, you get 1000's of emails telling of your death in most horrible ways. I don't know the bloke but I do remember my uncle and others using the I won't be back until he's gone line All I can say, Marmite Man.

As a 'fun' day suggests it's more for the kids out there to meet the players and such, can't honestly believe any of the younger supporters either know or care who Mr. Hamer is, also I honestly can't even believe that the older supporters who were there would've been that bothered if at all that he didn't come out of his office and to say he didn't seem to want to be involved seems a bit presumptuous if you ask me, how do you know he didn't? I would imagine he's a very busy man at this time of the year and what real difference would it be to anyone if he was there? Just so a couple of people could have a moan about not being able to buy a shirt (which I will agree is a bit poor in this day and age) but everybody knew well in advance that this would be the case. Just another chance to have a moan about something no matter what it is imo. Hurry up Saturday and then people can get back to moaning about the football at least and not searching for anything no matter how small to moan about. In the 3 times me and the Mrs have been there was no trace of Higgsy. I guess Steve Hamer was in the office working and allowing the players, manager and staff to be front, right and centre. I think there is some mischief going on here. I just can't see people queuein up and I think the comment about not being back under his tenure is very tongue in cheek unless I am mistaken. I guess a few are being caught out hook line and sinker on this. Pits been a couple of years since I used the old forum so I need to get a feel for this un but I do think that post was harking back to the Kev spencer ban times. You can't mention him, it's a bit like saying Corbyn is a fool, you get 1000's of emails telling of your death in most horrible ways.

Bloody hell, this is nothing compared to the anti old board threads. The shirt fiasco would have been a 300 page hit with the old board. The honeymoon period has to end at some point, they have had it very easy because of the promotion, lucky boys. Well the current lot have done more to improve The Mem in 6 months than the last lot that just said it wasnt worth it, we are moving etc. I agree the honeymoon will end sooner or later and as I said before we should always question where due. Wael and his team are well in credit with me at the moment Considering what the new ownership has apparently had to unpick they have done quite well Yes, as I said, they have more money ! That makes them easy to like. Don't get me wrong, they are doing well, but they do have a few F ups already.

Yet again Steve Hamer was conspicuous by his absence. He was in his office all day but didn't seem to want to be involved with the fans yet again. It seems the only time he gets involved is when our President is there. i thought it odd that he didn't even show when the player sponsors were thanked for their contribution to the club, the young pirates who again drew a blank etc etc etc. With the farce about non delivery of the kids shirts, I thought the least he could do would be to draw the flack from the plebs, but no. Thankfully our president is made of sterner stuff, and is a real people person, and he really is the one that counts. You don't like him. We get it. Does it really need a thread every couple of days? Bloody hell, this is nothing compared to the anti old board threads. The shirt fiasco would have been a 300 page hit with the old board. I think this is a valid point, it's no good people giving flack for the comments that Gasincider has made when lets face it, NH was ripped apart for what in the end added up to ' he did not have enough money' . The new owner is easy to like because he has lots of money, SH is just a Chairman with not enough money...........Fire away ! Has he got lots of money though? I see no evidence of that yet. Very true, but people think he has lots of money, that makes him easy to like at this time.
