Interesting question, obviously short term positive but shows a false picture. We start new projects every season due to it and it begs the question why have our own youth teams if we do not use them Disagree. If that short term project is in the division above it’s worked, and even if not. It gives us the potential for much better quality of player for smaller outlay, potentially leaving more money to keep or develop our own players. As someone said times has changed and the majority of clubs at EFL level who progress have high quality loans. Just look at the Championship last season. Sheffield United, Luton, Burnley all promoted, with some good loan players. Please don’t say, they are bottom of the premiership so has not worked. I bet you not one of them one would turn down the opportunity.

In recent years yes. We would not be in league 1 with out our loans. With Darrel no as he never used them !

Belshaw sometimes lets his emotions get the better of him - says the man who has just spent the first 3 games banned. So what. Two wrongs do not make a right. Barton served his time and hopefully learns. Belly serves his time by probably leaving the club.

Surprised Finley seems to have been dropped by JB rather than out injured, as he's on the bench. Vale replaces Jones as well, so all his pre-season work seems to have to be pointless. Not pointless at all. Part of building for the future. Whether he’s good enough let’s see, but looks promising. A loan to a national league side would be perfect.

Loss trade often cited, but lets say cashless works 95% of the time, the transaction is at least 5 times quicker than cash/change so where there are lots of queues and a short time to serve cashless will ensure more trade overall. There is a reason more and more businesses are doing this. Imagine waiting for change..... apart from rovers where else is cashless in Bristol? I assume you don’t get out much

Maybe the new person will reinstate cash sales. Must miss out on some sales and at present still legal tender.stalls were quite happy to take cash so why miss out at the club bars No way, and we might bring back horse and trap to get to the game.

No matter what situation Rovers find themselves in, whenever a list of club woes is formed, no matter how concerning/serious or dire you can 1000% guarantee the sacking of the ‘award winning programme editor’ will always be on there😄 Well, Keith was treated like crap for no reason. I don't like that the club does that. Keith isn't a bloke who starts sh** or spreads rumours, so why get rid? Keith was great in his day. Things move on though and so do successful businesses.

Meanwhile we’ve announced a home shirt sleeve sponsor that reads “Delta Hotels, Marriott, Bristol City Centre” Don’t care how much they’re paying, “Bristol” alone would’ve been fine. Unless I’ve been taken in by some sick joke, I can’t quite believe we’ve rolled with this🤦🏻 Don’t get the panic. Who cares about them

The faux rage is the embarrassment here. We have Joey Barton as manager yet you guys love him. Oh, seeet irony. Bloody hypocrites KP stop digging, as it sounds like when you do what you want it’s fine and can be justified. However when others within the club do, they get a pious judgement.

Exeter took the very brave (and right) decision to suspend him even though he was a key player and might have made a significant difference to their season. It's a pretty stark contrast to our club's behaviour Some within the Exeter ranks believe that the board there was too soft and should have sacked him for gross misconduct once the evidence was revealed and Jevani pleaded guilty to one of the offences. They could have saved themselves a few months wages just like we did when we sacked David Pipe. And some on their forum believe they should have kept him and supported him through this, and that they have lost a damn good player. I’m on the fence on this signing, but it does get me when people go selective on their quotes.

Collins is a very good league one player I do not think he is good enough to go up a league. He has done well with us and for us thats his level I believe. Good luck to him otherwise. Think Collins could do well in the Championship. He’s extremely comfortable on the ball. Can use both feet and a natural eye for a goal. Few things to polish, but still young enough. A much more rounded player than JCH. Both in the same team though would be lethal :-)

I remember Ollie on the pitch saying the same as j b we did give it a go the following season but ran out of pionts in the last ten games never even made the play offs that season and the following season we got relegated So what are you saying. You want a manger to come out and say, “we’re aiming for mid table guys and gals”. Sounds like you’re a Buckle man

I suppose it depends if you think 15th in League 1 is good or average. Each to their own. Totally agree we are doing well. Consolidated in league 1. Some good youngsters coming through. Young ambitious manager. What’s not to like.

I find the reaction to any criticism of WAQ hilariously over the top. He owns a football club, has any owner of any club ever avoided criticism? Lansdown, over the river, gets pelters despite building them a stadium they own out of his own pocket. Abramovich used to get a wee bit of stick when Chelsea went bad, despite everything. WAQ seems remarkably thin skinned. The facts are, yes, he's put a load of cash in, some converted to capital, some not, and, without some sort of rich benefactor, as with 90% of the EFL, we'd have had some trouble in the COVID times. But then you have to remember that owners were protecting their own assets in these times. The training ground is all well and good, again. But the club loses money hand over fist, hasn't moved forward on the pitch in 7 years, and for all the excitement over a statement saying a drawing of a stadium may come soon, we're still at the Mem. From all accounts he's a nice guy and he cares, which is lovely, and he's doing an OK job, but the reaction on here and social media to any view that isn't gushing praise of the bloke is hilariously OTT. Anyone who says anything critical is immediately a better or not a proper fan. Are you Swissgas in disguise ?

Well i don't pretend to know much about these latest plans but folk seem to be excited about the news, fair enough, hope our dreams finally do come true, still seems along way off so not getting carried away yet! I reckon we all have our preferred location for any new stadium, personally it is in the area of town we are at the moment and i was very disappointed that for whatever reason Filton airdrome never really surfaced as an option, but there we go. Of course it would not matter where the stadium was IF Bristol had a modern efficient mass transport system like Manchester for example and most other major cities but once again as is the case with other components which put cities on the map (e.g. Arenas)Bristol falls short, frustrating but there you go, i suppose if we all get on our bikes Bristol is well served by cycle paths, many on old railway lines which probably lead to T.M eventually ! Can you ride Tandem! Bristol infrastructure compared to most large UK cities is poor as it does seem to specialise in prevarication on major Transport project or projects in general. Tram system a great example. Bristol’s dilly dallying, Nottingham’s gain. Great place to live in-spite of the council.

I personally don't understand the arguments for being a poor location. Were trying to build a new stadium in pretty much the centre of our city. Most clubs can only dream of doing that. Good Transport links from all over the southwest lead Into our city centre and are in abundance which leaves a 10-15 minute walk to the ground I'd understand if we were building in the middle of nowhere on the outskirts of the city. It's a 20 mintute walk to our nearest bus stop into the Centre, it stops at the Bear Pit. That's another 15 minute walk to the FM. And back. If the buses are on time, or as is the case by many cut back so much that's it not that easy to catch one full stop. And if it's going to attract as many fans as everyone hopes, coping with say, 8000 fans on a Saturday afternoon who are intending to bus it there and back home, it's not that attractive. Sorry, do you have crystal ball and know what the services will be in a few years. I could just as easily state there are is 4 bus stops, one at each corner and a tram link from Temple Meads. It’s all possible. Who knows, but have the feeling I will be a little closer to reality.
