Ward 7.5 match saving saves! Hunt 7 nice rwb play Wilson 5 difficult. Baggott 5 unspectacular. Gordon 7 best of defence in first half. Thomas 6 tried hard but not his game. Conteh 8 excellent performance. Vale 5 constantly marked and ankle checked a testament to his threats. Sinclair 7.5 well taken finish unlucky not to get 2 Brown 8 m o m sublime turn and move with 2 assists and it so easily could have been 3. Nice link up with CM well done. Martin7.5 all he does is score and make himself a nuisance for opposition!?
Vaughan 5 not much affect.
Ref 7.5 more decent than of late.
Carlisle 5 they look like us a few seasons back. Heads down low on confidence and luck, but bosses us early on and deservedly scored. I question their strength in depth. A well deserved win in the end, but fair play to Carlisle, we allowed them to make it difficult on ourselves...... again.

Back to topic. Jones and Gordon need to be give a season. We have invested in both. Both are capable of being squad players. Let's give them a chance to prove they can be more, or they move on. Gordon needs to be bombed out. Not good enough. He was great at starting songs on a Bolton concourse at half time! Keep.

Not being ageist but sometimes it takes 2 old farts to show how to score and finish well consistently like it did yesterday v Carlisle!?
Keep. For now.

This is one for the mods and my point exactly:
Respectfully, you've done your job and duty by banning k last week, and that person is left to wander obscurity in the real world....but I would like to have invited his comments on the performance of the players today whom he criticised last week? They all played blinders this week.
And after that, we could have discussed the collective terms and why it's not a kind way to distinguish one player from another...
With patience and education we could have helped this individual to at least see the error of ways.....but tbf it shouldn't take the player's from to highlight that anomaly.

Just got back..
Not the first time Carlisle has contributed to beating Carlisle!?
I just wonder, with a little tweaking, not much, how much we could have achieved this season?
Allowing poor teams to dominate and gain confidence, we rarely start well.
But I get that the sprint marathon cliché, it's just we do make things difficult on ourselves..... going 1-0 down - deservedly, fair play to them - giving ourselves a huge task and more risk, well I do wonder what could have been if it was tweaked?
But in keeping, this is a topsy turvy season and nothing would truly surprise.... credit where it's due, we came from behind and most the team after 30 mins contributed to a hard earned win.
My m o m Jervani Brown. If 2 assists, one sublime lead up, that could have been 3 if not post was hit doesn't earn your accolade (apart from scoring), I don't know what would? Also, isn't it great seeing 2 strikers linking? A few more times his intended passes to CM were intercepted last minute but great to see.
But in essence, the team was the m o m. Conteh hardly put foot wrong and even made one amazing timely tackle. Sincs was ever present threat and scored a spectacular. Hunt got forward and created space. Gordon contributed on the left. Ward made a double point blank saviour of saves and punched well. Commanded his area well And if course, CM made himself a handful and all he ever done was scored goals!?
Going into the match, we had so many key players and managers out, so to put into context our difficulties within the parameters of the win, you have to give credit. Well done everyone involved.
On another note....no team in our table changed position after this weekend's round of matches!? Incredible!

More importantly, what do you think the score will be v Avery in Saturday as that's in predictions thread?
I've plumped for an away win? Misery loves company.

The first question I would ask is who is charged with selling it?
Answer that one, it might lead to other questions, but that's where I would start because it's another sense of demise and appears to be eroding from where we were pre COVID.

Can I play? Outsource the toilets, take a dump before and after. Outsource the kiosk, eat before and after, see above. Outsource the head of recruitment. We've outed Bright, Club Sec, Beverage guy, Andy in media - well done - Staff have litigated against the club for their appalling employment law breaking and lack of duty of care, well we can outsource this to club solicitors to stall proceedings. Maybe we can outsource families? Maybe we can outsource schools? New Stand prep can definitely be outsourced because look what happened last time it wasn't!? Yep... that's about right. But what about plans for Santa Grotto? I get the feeling you don’t like outsourcing I'm neither for, nor against. It's a simple TG policy go to if he ain't employing his Bright friends.

Problems arise when you have decent local talent and something big and smelly comes luring £ from over the river and far away... Many of these kids are going to be supporting them anyway, so the demographic of 'one of our own' is going to be split between us and them..
Also, I'm not in favour of discrimination positive or otherwise. The best footballer gets the job, wherever they're from.

Questions that needs answering: - Sort the toilets!? - Sort the food on match day as variety and price is appalling. -who are we targeting to join the club next season, amidst what will be a whole raft of outgoings. No head of recruitment. Bright gone. Club Sec gone. Beverage guy gone. Andy media gone. 6 months.no incomings! Staff being hung out to dry, no support or help, doing multiple roles. To save some pennies! - will there be a better match day experience for families, like an 18s + environment at the minute.families and kids the future of the club. Give tickets to schools! - training ground plans or selling to move? - where are the plans for the new stand? I'm afraid nothing new here as some suppliers, one whom supported the club through relegation out the league and back was dropped with a few others with bills pending. Circa 2019.
But hey it might be the club you all recognise, not for me though...

Freedom of speech is a myth. People are still free to say whatever they like. What isn't is the consequences of exercising that freedom. There are consequences to words and actions. Often when people complain about having their freedom of speech denied, what they really mean is that they don't like what happens once they have said or done something society no longer tolerates. Ah I see this thread has been moved. Freedom of speech isn't a myth, it's a principle. Of course there's a consequence to everything that is said. Unless it is advocating violence, which is unlawful, everything should be fair game....but I understand the laws of the land and the laws of this forum aren't exactly aligned, and the member was deleted, but surprisingly his post wasn't? That seems inconsistent to me. I'm always sad to see folk go, because apart from the lack of traffic, I think it's interesting to see the wide array of opinions for what they're worth. Keegan posted something most would agree something negative about, and broke the rules of forum, but without education keegs is still there thinking and probably saying the same stuff.... it's a shame we couldn't have let keegs explain the post and point a more positive way on this perhaps leading him/her to in future view that post as a mistake. Opportunity lost. Prohibition won and it's akin to sticking fingers in ears, but it doesn't address or take away the problem.

I was there! Under a tote end bar.
They brought loads down in away end.
We tried a free kick routine which was new and worked....we put a two man wall in front of the ball, and fired it into the tote end net! Nice.
Can't remember who scored though.

From Ifollow..
WARD 6.5 done his job. HUNT 5.5 unlucky not to have had a shot after decent run into the box WILSON 4 poor, no where near his man on 1st and hardly looked to captain. CRAMA 4 rightly subbed rabbit in headlights. GORDON 5 fouled and shirt pulled all match with no respite, but he did try THOMAS 5.5 struggled to get his gameplay going. GRANT 4 waste of space. VALE 6 decent in his limited pitch time. SINCLAIR 4 off the boil. BROWN 3 never got tepid, ever. MARTIN 6.5 all he ever does is score goals!?
COX CONNOLLY 4.5 confused as to his positional play - not me, him! HOOLE BAGGOTT 6 decent and nice assist. VAUGHAN 7.5 m o m lively and a nauseating menace....much like Anthea Turner, with the child like hairstyle to match. MARQUIS 3 seems to like the sandpit like at primary school as he's usually on his @ss these days. LAWRENCE
REF 3 poor decisions and baffling conclusions. NORTHAMPTON 5.5 you know what you're getting and for the second match in succession, MT getting his starting line up wrong, his tactics wrong, went 2-0 down and subbed after it was too late. Lightning wasn't ever going to strike twice, and the best team won.
MT post match comments appears to show exasperation.
Changes aloof. We'll see...

Respectively, disagree.
Freedom of speech however stupid should always win the day, but that's my easy to say personal stance.
To keep it in context, rules of the forum which we all subscribe to were broken, so in that sense I reluctantly agree well done mods.....but I so wish there was more education and engagement to show the correct way if that sort of vile post rears it's ugly head again.
Prohibition rarely works.

Only a real madman would spend money travelling to watch them, when you can just sit at home and watch them underperform on iFollow. Regardless yesterday's team is clearly far removed from JB's starting 11 and even the manager managed to do a JB and get himself banished to the stands. This post appears to be completely out of touch with the ergonomics of what contributes to an amazing away day or weekend. Plus, some people travel less for an away match than home!

Just got back... From an on off iFollow.
Seen the 1st, 3rd & 4th goal....but after 35 mins it decided enough was enough until second half. In all honesty, it done me a favour as it was probably more frustrating watching that pile of drivel.
No midfielders? No defence, morelike... first goal was again atrocious defending reminiscent of relegation season. We seem to not decide to play until the game is almost lost, but there again we are seeing beach players probably in the last embers of their Gas careers....MT post match comments allude to that....why not start some of them in flip flops or crocks? Crocks more apt.
Some shining performances from afar. Really liked Vaughan, lively performance my m o m (!) Why not?
Baggot looking useful, except when he took the shot off of Hunt after that mazy run. Decent assist.
Keeper made some good saves.
Our crossbar played a blinder too.
One thing....nice one, ref!? I never realised a deliberate shirt pull in the pen area was ok? Also....if you stand still minding your own space and a player comes in over and above you and crashes you to the ground - you're the one who's committed the foul!? Absolute numpty.
If it wasn't for CM we'd be in the sh!t....I still tip him to make 20 goals in this very unforgettable season.
At the end of the day, not good enough. Again. MT subs did affect change but we rightly got beat by the better team.
MT says change is in air as unacceptable conceding goals in that fashion. We'll see.
My point is .... If it isn't the right time to blood some of your own now, when is it? Too many senior players aren't turning up.... Wilson Crama Grant poor. Why not mix it up with Connolly back and Lawrence Jones and Greenslade?
I honestly wonder what we would have to lose?
