Oh deary me .. A stroll in the park for BW. Credit to them, they looked like they wanted it more, took one or two of their chances and deserved to win. All watched on TV.
We had a shocker! First ball in atrocious, we couldn't attack the ball in the box, it just didn't fall to us and lack of quality in the final third plus (again) slow start out the traps mean some GasHeads paid a few quid to watch that and be humiliated!
Evans, Gibbons (again), Whelan even Scotty couldn't deliver a decent ball from the flanks....when Trev Clarke slipped in a lovely shooting opportunity, Coburn missed it and Aaza fired well wonder - he was poor too.
Thomas jittery. Gibson looked lethargic. Gordon.... just didn't look like a defender. Again.
Fair enough, they used their research and resources to turn up a result. Really think their Central defenders bossed the game and looked organised.... good luck to them with the draw on Monday and rest of the season.
Us!? Holy moly! A Sunday to forget where too many established players didn't turn in a performance to warrant picking next Fri, except maybe Saunders who tried. A bit!

Japan look like we did this time last season; up until 2022, when our approach, possession was all going well, but last ball choice was lacking and not much quality up front.
Costa Rica look like we did the 6 months before. Not looking like having a clue, relegation material, save one or two players poor and score against run of play!

Wow! Only fair the locals get benefits of cheaper tickets. That would be so cool for you if England got to semis! (Assuming England is your supposed team to support) Yes I got all my England tickets through the England Supporters Travel Club including the knock out matches and final (excluding the semi's which I already had tickets for). There were only a very small amount of Cat 4 tickets available for each game and apart from the semi final (which I got in a first come first serve sale before the draw was even done) I did not apply for any Cat 4's as I knew my chances would be slim. Fair play to you, QG...!! Can I ask what a cat4 ticket buys you? God seats? Or do you get to choose exact seats?

This is how pre match interviews should be, we all know everything about our own team barring injuries, but it's the knowledge about the opposition which gives you an idea as to your chances of winning. It definitely fills a bit of background in. I wonder if Shrews done as much in depth research? When and where to fall down etc.. Good interview from someone that comes across as knowing their trade and how to go about it. Also, I like he gives a bit of respect out that's earned in his view.... and hopefully of his team can deliver an honest account for themselves, it will lead to an entertaining encounter.

Category 1 tickets £200 Category 2 tickets £150 Category 3 tickets £60 Problem with the FIFA ticketing app is takes forever to be able to enter the portal then it shows no tickets available. Try logging in about an hour before KO and then miraculously tickets become available but it’s too late to get there. I had tickets for 8 games before flying out and have tried for more but give up. Hence the empty seats!!! Pretty much every game is listed as sold out but then for quite a few games you see lots of empty seats. Its a shame to see people outside the stadium looking for tickets and then see empty seats inside. But then you go on one of these ticket selling websites where somebody is selling a £60 ticket for more than £200! There are also Category 4 tickets for Qatar residents which are £10 for the group games. I've got Cat 4 tickets for both semi finals which cost me about £110 each. Wow! Only fair the locals get benefits of cheaper tickets. That would be so cool for you if England got to semis! (Assuming England is your supposed team to support)

For anyone not attending, there's extended highlights later, but also, live coverage via bet365 (probably other responsible gambling website apps are available) terms and conditions apply..
Not sure where else you would find live coverage?

On the subject of Cambridge (digression), they'll be our normal allocated opponents if we don't progress v Boring Wood in fa cup.... otherwise it will probably be Cambridge away on a school night? Another digression....fa cup attendance generally down, a few less than 4,000....but what the hell in Wrexham? 19,000? BBC surely typo v Farnborough? Apologies.... back to world cup... Wrexham attendance today 9118. Just highlighting BBC stats. It's not like the beeb to exaggerate or byass is it?

I remember Kings Lynn coming to Eastville mid 80s fa cup and giving us a game.... until we eventually swept them aside. They did go 1 up I think!(?)
They also had about a dozen skinheads up for it pre match, in open end car par park, but got ran back and 'serviced' west country style back to the muddy embankment... 🤕

There have been more years allocated to the bottom two divisions exclusively, than this shower, so as long as Premier/ Championship continue their infiltration, it's an invasion of EFL... Man U, or otherwise. What were your views when Between 2000–01 and 2005–06 the competition was also open to a certain number of Football Conference sides. This devalued the tournament too. Did you boycott it during those seasons? Absolutely! It's a disgrace we didn't even qualify for one year! It's an Associated Members Cup, that was a noble thought on introduction....to help fans get to see their team walk out at Wembley, whom otherwise wouldn't ever have that opportunity. Conference have their FA Trophy ... It would be just as wrong us (or any EFL) entering that.

Trying a different flip of the coin, given that the England performance last night was below par, and senior players were underperforming, does anyone think this is a bit like playing poker?
Southgate is reluctant to show all his cards at group stage by revealing foden, taa, grealish playing more, so early in competition?
In essence, spring them on the better teams later on...

Um....because it started as Associated Members Cup and now EFL trophy, none of which Wolves / Man Ure belong to. It's not been limited to EFL clubs for years so Man U's recent involvement doesn't really highlight anything, unless EFL ever decide that they don't want Premiership money the format isn't going to change. There have been more years allocated to the bottom two divisions exclusively, than this shower, so as long as Premier/ Championship continue their infiltration, it's an invasion of EFL... What a game Taff v Iran!?
Genuine moments of skill mixed with bad luck and a sending off..
Every media can learn as with fa cup, some of the best matched minnow teams can deliver a great game to watch!

Absolutely well said, GHB and others. To add ... Wolves v Man U invading this competition should be enough to show intent and illustrate how broken the competition has become. I'll boycott it until the hilt, I know others won't. Happy memories of the old format though, and I guess that's where it's best consigned....to memory. While I still have it... How can Man U and Wolves be invading the competition, aren't all Premiership sides invited? Um....because it started as Associated Members Cup and now EFL trophy, none of which Wolves / Man Ure belong to.

Will keep banging the boycott drum. Facts: this comp was set up to test the waters of lower league clubs and Supporters to gauge the introduction of u21/u23 teams into lower league structure, like a lot of European leagues. This competition gave the “elite clubs” the opportunity to ask about a break away league in the hope they could keep their u21/23 teams in the league structure. Why are Tottenham an “elite club” and had no right to have more a say on it than us, or a right to be classed as an “elite club” when, like us have won F##k all. How can we be allowed to play against kids trying to make a name for them selfs, at the expense of our 1st teamers getting injured and suspended against a pointless Crystal Palace u21/23 team. I’d be buzzing if this competition was left alone to us lower league teams to enjoy our day out, and I fully know had we not beat the Rubbish and had our dress rehearsal at Cardiff for that play off win to follow. Like the fa cup, ruined by premier league clubs. Boycott. P.s. as stated every season, when challenged, I will not attend any round including the final. Should we sadly be there I will be disappointed if we took 36 including staff. Hopefully we get our Rubbish together and we can stick our own u21/23’s in there and not not give F##k about it either.

So far, my second team following will be Canada.
They played some great football yesterday and took the game to legend names of bygone era.. Very unlucky. Almost made it another upset.
Also, my old school chum GasHead, GM lives out there and we inadvertently bumped into each other after a decade or two.....in Gas hospitality! He was introduced his lad to his first Gas match....👍
That's what football does, it brings people together.
Politics, well, that just divides.
Cameroon playing some good counter atm...
