Really looking forward to seeing the last of the 16 matches, and our potential opponents later on if we can get past Jean Paul Escargot...
Morocco v Spain. Portugal v Swiss.
I sniff an upset, Swiss aren't a bad team, Porty boys only seem to rely on 1 or 2 players... I think both matches are making for a well matched interesting encounters.

Anyone else boycotting anything French until Saturday? Thinking of running a picket line near the baguettes in Tesco later. Yep. I've deleted Les Miserables off my catch up..

Watched around half of the match on the wireless with pictures.... They definitely deserved a draw, and as I saw it the niggly stop start gamesmanship was partly caused by Bolton little infringes, and our go down to exaggerate a foul - which it was - but we had no advantage in playing on and riding stupid little challenges. I would understand their frustration, but what else is a ref to do? So, a scrappy draw ensued. I think many Gas would have taken a draw before a ball was kicked and taking any points from clubs in top 10 is good for me, but once again we seem to be very good at throwing away points later on because we can't manage the game out from a winning position. We go again next Saturday v port vale. Comparatively, it won't be easy. A different challenge. As of now, I'm 'meh' about where we are and JAB....he is where we were when he took over and great credit to get us up and moving forward to where we are (just turning around a losing momentum is hard enough), and the way we play our football which at times is easy on the eye and makes for entertaining matches)...but to counter that, we haven't progressed on and fulfilled potential with some individual players, our league position is bang average, cup record poor and discipline record awful.. In world cup terms atm, we are Mexico! MEH? That doesn't seem the view of most fans when every home game is nearly a sell out (regardless of the ground capacity), we've only lost once in games and that was when we played Wednesday/Saturday. I'm not sure what you mean about our discipline as I can't recall the last time we had a red card this season. We are where we were.....hence the meh. Some good, some not so good. I think BG from December 2019 put us back years....JAB has brought us back to where he took over, but no where near where we were competing in the top 6, so he's done well, but we are where where we were.. Disciplinary....We are 19th in fair play awards according to this: www.transfermarkt.co.uk/league-one/fairnesstabelle/wettbewerb/GB3/saison_id/2022

Anyone remember when they were a kid, and at Xmas you had the game of the day and year? Ball? Hoop? Space Invaders? Play Station? FIFA?
You played it, played it, played it again and again and became half good at it?
Then, part way through the day a p!ssed up old relation thought they could relive their childhood and take you on at it....but had no clue?
You are Brazil. They are South Korea.
Simples ....

Weak penalties there by Japan. A shame, as fair play they made some noise and represented themselves finely.
I hope they're not crying too much. Or clearing up that Jap's eye mess will take a while..

Nice research GaE.
There's always someone else to blame, any club that employs BG in that capacity deserve to get what we did and more.

As someone put on a media forum...
If England stretched their legs, who knows what would happen...?
Strength in depth. Quality competition on the bench. Partnerships being formed all over the pitch. Diverse scoring options.
There's plenty of positivity to draw on, but I must admit we wobbled first 20 mins. After that, we must have made a tweak because we found that little bit of space just outside their defence, behind their mid and exploited it as a bounty!
We're winning by playing charming football....in England!?

Another solid performance by Southgate’s England side in a major tournament, bit dodgy first 30 mins but after the first goal it was never in doubt. Cue the knockers telling us that Southgate is to defensive I quite like a couple of knockers sometimes...

I hope this is a joke post. You should have a look at what TG said. It's actually the club that has reduced attendances, rather than SAG. We have done this to ourselves to create it more comfortable for our fans. Haha, if the club cared about the comfort of the fans they wouldn’t have bought a team of glorified bouncers to run the stewarding. They are bigger blokes than in previous seasons, aren't they? Perhaps that's the real reason in attendance capacity cuts? ....to fit in bigger blokes!

Where does this fined money go? How much is re invested into awareness and support for victims or anyone feeling they're affected? Blimey - that could open the floodgates, so many people get offended on behalf of others. I'd like to think it went into raising awareness of the issue, and why it is totally unacceptable these days. Yep agree, and if there isn't support for the supporters, it makes everything kinda more difficult, doesn't it?
