The fall and rise of JAB and his management team that keeps evolving (including all the departures on his arrival) would make a great docu or drama.
Especially culminating in the 7-0 win back in May.
If he manages to guide us up another division, in the courtesy of time, there's gonna be a template forged for further success.
We take managerial stability for granted, but it wasn't too long ago where we struggled to win away for a year, players were playing in weird positions, goalkeepers were erratic and strikers weren't striking! JAB and above must take credit for recent form and they way we've achieved it, also with a manager that comes across as hungry for more.

Perhaps var for goal line technology only in real time, but multiple camera angles for further training of officials post match...

In the light of some recent atrocious (imo) official decisions, hypothetically would you welcome VAR in it's present form to the Mem?
I guess we will have no option when we get to the Prem before Them...?
Let's all have a mass debate...

Haha! Indeed! Also, deliberately hand balled in that match, but the ref didn't card him like he did the Dutch player earlier in the match for committing the same act!? (Because another booking would have meant a next match suspension..... maybe the refs learned the Gazza lesson!?🤔). Agreed but he was booked later in the game and he other handball was by an Argentina player. So....he should have had 2 yellows!? But didn't because of whom he is....🤔

It would be good to see his record for rolling on the pitch, he must be close to holding the world record, he bumped into a Dutch player near the end of that game fell to the ground and rolled across about a quarter of the pitch, quite spectacular. Haha! Indeed! Also, deliberately hand balled in that match, but the ref didn't card him like he did the Dutch player earlier in the match for committing the same act!? Nice o p and positive info.
Wrapped up with stats are the actual performances.
We've probably deserved to have turned in some more wins within those matches, but what is very encouraging is the feel good feeling and team spirit. It spats of last season where in many of the games we play, we look to have opportunity to score and win.....in both home and away matches, there's a feeling if we get our sh!t together, we can become a real force in this division.
We'll look to dude in another 17 matches for comparison!

Nice post but the only back problem he has for me is leaving him back where he came from! I take the point a sub, but I'd rather have a hungry forward trying to get on and push for a place - because if we lose Coburn and or something happens to Aaza, JM doesn't fill me with hope the goals are gonna flow. Do you still feel the same after last night’s performance? 😂 Didn't see last night's performance. We'll see if he can do anything when opposition really does give a shoot...

Just got back.. Brrrrrr snowy n bris! A lovely low sun and chill make the Mem lit up differently in these late autumn/winter months. A few faces missing though... Respect for DC. I think he handled it honourably. His team though - timewasting on 11 mins when they had the initiative? He certainly didn't set us up like that back in the day? Timewasting and gamesmanship. The ref spoke to the goalkeeper so many times it made contributory to the role and negated everything... it's like telling that naughty dog not to do something, and dog just doing what it wants and getting away with it multiple times.. Talking about getting away with it.....how many times was Coburn manhandled, shirt pulled, arm pulled without redress? Credit to him for his temperament to not retaliate, but the long haired mongrel got a flick of the v's from me for blatant cheating on his substitution.. T0sser! I took it back with Aaza goal (excellent finish from someone whom ran himself ragged) as blatant push in back to win the ball and then go on and score left matey sat in his own sh!t complaining no foul had been given like a baby had pooped his nappy....yea, welcome to our world, you weak sod....at least the ref was awful on both sides! I thought Rossiter ran and tried but sometimes his last pass was left wanting. Coutts steadied the ship but sometimes gave ball away. Gordon done his best to get forward and present options - still not sure about him - well done for trying, it's something he's obviously worked on... but his left sided support defender, Gibson played a blinder. Gibbons - still not sure about. Thommo my m o m. We look a balanced well organised set up, everyone knows their role and off ball protocol. But.... I get possession based football, but when you're at home and in front of a big crowd and on possession, inside and back is quickest way to nullify our own atmosphere.....I think many would like us to try - at least once - play outside and forward with pace.. Credit to pv for coming out the traps and creating a few half chances they didn't capitalise on. With better finishing, it might have been a different story. And on a different day, they would have gone home with a draw. Fine margins and all that ... Excellent firm finish from Aaza, and if you see his goal celebration, Coburn celebrates with his strike partner as much as anyone by jumping on Marquis (whom appears less than chuffed with it?) so bomb him out asap and I think we've got a team spirit and quality to be reckoned with when the weather gets better.... Well done, JAB, we passed the test of competing with our promotion compardres! Maybe Marquis has a back problem, and just didn’t appreciate being jumped on. Put the ball through for Collins to score I believe - but let’s bomb him out. I think he’s a useful sub to have on the bench. Nice post but the only back problem he has for me is leaving him back where he came from! I take the point a sub, but I'd rather have a hungry forward trying to get on and push for a place - because if we lose Coburn and or something happens to Aaza, JM doesn't fill me with hope the goals are gonna flow.

But they got rid of many established staff that knew the running of the club, especially in commercial, and replaced them with TG wife's best friends from over the bridge to try to almagigate the roles....? To no better effect. Apart from sychophants. Cashless yet take cash. Ticket less yet problems again at start of season with tickets. Bar staff that have no clue. DS a good guy years in his role, and now not there. This is still not the club I recognise. Why do you have to exaggerate Bright's appointment when he was never Mrs G's best friend, he had a decent record at Glos CC so seemed a decent appointment at the time. Anyway TG seems the problem not Bright and he's clearly not going anywhere soon. I thought Bright came from Glamorous Glamorgan ccc, which is in the area of both him and TG partners......plus, the exaggeration was only one sided when there wasn't an interview process for anyone else! I mean, you can't make it up!? He was brought in, then brought in an underling from the same area, and axing of established staff ensued..

Wasn't his last job as head of sales at Glamorgan Cricket, and improved their income during his time there? How can Bright get the blame for redesign of the badge, surely that was TG's or Wael's decision? No wonder Bright's struggling it he's supposed to managing every aspect of the club's commercial!! But they got rid of many established staff that knew the running of the club, especially in commercial, and replaced them with TG wife's best friends from over the bridge to try to almagigate the roles....? Their keeper got his 1st time wasting warning early on, then another, then another. No yellow. What with the shirt abuse Coburn had all game karma adds up. Great win!!!! Did commentary pick this up? We could see it in East...

Belshaw 7.5 made save of the game.
Thomas 8 m o m handled left side threat admirably so politic had to be subbed. Connolly 6.5 nice beefy but too often tasked with bringing the ball out shyly. Gibson 7.5 went about his duties diligently.
Sinclair 6 quiet by his standards and missed open goal, albeit players bearing down on him. Rossiter 8 excellent, was everywhere. Coutts 7.5 welcome back, skip and nice to see taking corners. Evans 5 he should give up the front pin first skittles. Gordon 7 nice pressure pushing into opposition box and presenting options on left.
Collins 7 all he does is score goals! And, assist.. Coburn 7.5 nice headed assist for goal and they couldn't cope with his forward play.
Subs: Marquis 4.5 needs to drop a division. Gibbons nole Whelan nole.
Ref 1 shocker! Port Vale 5.5 apart from first 20 mins and sporadic moves in second half, we pretty much bossed the game. They'll stay up, but I would expect us to finish higher than them in May.
Can't be doing with all the timewasting and gamesmanship....sort it out, DC!?
Nice to see DC and EH back, but well done JAB for managing this one out and testing patience levels with a hard fought win thanks to our Aaza courtesy of well organised defence and brilliant one save from Belly. Nice team performance.

Some great quarter finals so far! Nervous about tonight, off to the pub in a bit. Tonight will be my 13th game of this World Cup. This game is giving me a lot of Brazil in 2002 vibes. The best team in the world at the time. Game could have gone either way. Reckon that year we could have beaten everybody else. Just came up against the best side too early on in the tournament! Give em a shout for us, QG! England await!!!
