Telford's tweets said he got beat badly for one of the goals but otherwise did some nice things and looked solid. Good luck to him and at the same time I'm happy with our squad. DC is paid to make the tough decisions and that's what he did.

Second half adjustment by DC sounded spot on too.

People happy to settle for a point at Braintree tells me all I need to know. Looking forward to FGR away next year already? We must beat teams like Braintree because they are a small sh*t team that we must be far better than. They know that too. Wasn't that our approach at Altrincham? We have to give a certain amount of respect to the home side in any league we compete in but still approach the game with confidence and a positive attitude.

All about opinions but don't rate Taylor and his poor goal scoring record confirms my lack of optimism. We so need our forwards to start scoring. You don't rate him because of goals or his all-round play? If its goals then I can't argue with you, strikers are always going to be rated by goals over a period of time. But we are only a few games in with a new team. If its his all round play then I think the lad is extremely hard working and honest. He has a canny knack for holding the ball up or winning little flicks even though he's only a little fella. His movement is good, has reasonable pace and he's not afraid to have a crack. Let's give the lad a few more games to hopefully break his duck and then he will be an asset. Not too long though. We don't want another Andy Williams situation where the lad was kept in so long his head had gone.

I noticed the other day that SN is currently doing his UEFA pro licence with Ryan Giggs. I assumed these guys are already qualified but most are not.
