The council cant really lose by agreeing to the extended hours. They know Sainsburys don't want the land. So the probable outcome will be that the land gets develpoed as something that is much less contraversial than a supermarket..... Fingers, toes and whatever else crossed.

Puddy - Did what he had to do with minimal fuss
Lockyer 5 - Not a RB. Put keeps digging in. Trotman 7.5 - my MOTM. Nothing gets past him. Continually talks on the pitch. Excellent Parkes 6 - Practice passing please Brown 6 - Gets up and down. nothing special today.
Gosling 4 - rest Mansell 7 - adds a touch of conference class to the side. Always looking to control things Sinclair 7.5 - Run, Run, Run, Shoots, tackles, has a pass on him as well. excellent performance. Martin 4 - ineffective and was not in the game enough
Taylor 5 - needs to be dropped. 1 in 16 is not good enough. Cunnington 6 - scored
Subs: Harrison 5 - no real chance and these cameos are not going to help the lad. Monkhouse 3 - just back so needs to get up to speed.
DC 6 - treid things but they didnt come off this time. Needs to grow some and drop Taylor.... Ref 7 - good Dover 5.5 - should be putting this type of team to bed.

I know nothing of the ins and outs of this, however, damages is not the only remedy for breach of contract. The courts have the ability to grant an equitable remedy(Specific Perfomance) that compels a party to perform the contract according to its terms, in order that justice is done. This may be used, at the courts discretion, where monetary damages are inadequate. I'm not suggesting that this would necessarily be the outcome, however, it is a route that may be pursued if the planning application successful and Sainsburys do not honour the terms of the contract. Time is our biggest enemy; the wheels of justice turn very slowly. 100% right there. Even if damages are awarded Sainsbury's will be still be fighting the case in five years time. There's no way they'll want to pay...... anything

BCC can probably see a win win here.. They get the delivery times through for us, and then Sainsburys have to cough up. But wait, They dont want to build another store so they sell to a developer and the place gets turned in to houses/community facilities...
Everyone a winner!

If the club took the plunge and did Quid a Kid for Saturday, we could get an excellent crowd. Get the youngsters through the gates now we are playing well, and scoring goals - that's the way to get them hooked. I've said this all along. Now is the time to strike - Hell, I'd bring the mob on Sat if it was Quid a kid again! I'm just not in a position to spend the £60 quid it cost for us all to get in.... Sod it - I'm gonna tweet the club now and see what they say! Wish me luck

Anything below 6,000 is poor for me, regardless of division. Where do the fans go? We're playing better now than last season and yet the numbers drop. Below 5,000 for a midweek is pretty poor, but what can you do? Honestly.... Make CONFERENCE football affordable. More quid a kid etc. I know when the chips were down they offered it... Since the upturn, nothing! NOW is the time to get the kids hooked! UTG

is it a luxury...? Sow seeds now, reap benefits sooner... We need to be in good shape/health when we re-enter the league, not spend another year sorting ourselves out...

Someone on Twitter, who doesn't watch any games, was last night moaning about how we won..... I simply replied that I don't give a toss how we win, we just need to win. As JTS says above, it will not be pretty this year however well we do. We just need to accept that we will have to grind out more results than not.
Not lost at home and only let one goal in... Happy with that - now to sort the away form!?! (please)

I'm up for the weekend with it being kids go free. Means our whole family can go for about £35 (2 x adults & 3 kids) which I see as good value. plus I have a good excuse to have a beer pre match! Actually, the club should say to everyone that if their kids are members of the young pirates, they get free entry with a paying adult. that way when they "sign up" the club can gether loads of details and use in cordinated and well planed marketing.Marketing is evil stuff but if it keeps BRFC in business... On a similar note, Walsall's season ticket idea was a good 'un. "Free" season tickets for under 16s, with the kid initially paying £46 and getting £2 back when they enter the turnstiles on a matchday. That way, if they don't turn up then the club keeps the £2. However, the best bit about it is once the kid gets £2 back, he/she is likely to spend it in the ground on a drink or whatever. Clever stuff. When I was a young pirate..... We used to arrange frenfily matches against the other junior supporters clubs....
