DD & GD did a great job saving us. Unfortunately GD has now taken the club as far as he can with his abilities. This will hopefully open the door to new investment.
Thanks Geoff for all that you have done
Now inwards and upwards for the club.

GGMI has it nailed.. The strikers will score, there is just ZERO creativity in the middle of the park. Monkhouse/Mansell were they supposed to be the creative ones? Sinclair is not - he is a ball winner, breaker uperer and give it simple. he may well score some.
playmeker is what we are desparate for,

Whilst, yes he was on holiday, there are others that he can delegate to. That said, should have been there for the first game. I think all the abuse that hes getting is probably putting him off going. Shame as he really is a Gashead through and through

Lambert's right boot..........he loves in Derby and is best mates with Jake Buxton who got Sully the Physio to give him the injection. All confirmed true, I print the Derby County match day programme and Sully is from Bicester like me funnily enough. I wasn't sure if Beardsley was telling the truth and Neil Sullivan confirmed it to me. He said John Joe O'Toole was one of the best trainers at the club and was misunderstood and always tried his heart out. At Portsmouth Harrold wasn't meant to play and he was and with Harrold playing he triggered his new deal. Rovers didn't want to give him the injection as he was a loan player, insurance or something so for the Rovers cause he got it done himself, he's an honest decent pro. He talks highly of Clarke, says he's a good man. Said as a team we were to nice and players played for themselves, funny Clarke says this now. The likes of BidefordGas can back me on this, I told him all this back in May and now Clarke has admitted it. No one liked Norburn, he played for himself. As for Lee and his Dad, Garry would have managed us this season if asked and Lee is highly respected in the game. Having sat with Beardo at the Valantines ball, nothing surprises me. Has attitued to the game when discusing it was first class, his knowledge of what it takes to become a pro was first class. If he had sat me down a 16 and spoken with me I would be playing now and getting abused by fans on a forum :-) (lol). Seriously Beardo is a very good professional - possibly one of the best I've met.

sponsor a players wages, £1000 a month at this level. The money is just getting chucked in a black hole, is there a way of doing something more usefull with it like fundraising to fund a signing ? This has been done before at Twerton and through the share scheme. yep this could enable DC to sign the winger that is too expensive and provides immediate accountability and visibility of where the money is going. That said, back to the thread. Preston, Lucas Thomas White Brunt

Monkhouse needs to get forward more in the creative midfielder role and they need to up the pace a bit and try more one-touch passing. They receive the ball, knock it forward a foot or so then pass it. Three movements that kill the impetus. Lockyer is a different class and looked comfortable, dare I say silky, on the ball. I'm not sure what Brunt's strengths are having only seen him on a few occasions, but he seems to play off the shoulder of his defender to drag him out of position and open up for others to move in. Didn't work on Saturday because a)he wasn't match fit, and b)Grimsby played it really tight at the back. The team's lacking real creativity up front but hopefully that'll be rectified this week? Defo feel its the killer pass that we miss. couple this with no midfielder that pushes on past the strikers. Brunts dragging defenders out of position is pointless without someone willing to fill the space. This has to be a midfileder as the other striker should be marked........ I too noticed that TL was very comfortable on the ball and it was nice to see our back three actually look to pass rather than hoof at every occassion.

face it... we got greedy and took over the Pasty franchise. We then did not put a full team to run it. Exactly the same as the rest of the club. We cut all the wrong corners. If you are going to take something on then do it right....
for the sake of a few hunderd quids of POTENTIALLY ruined pasties we(they) could have avoided all the negative press that we(they) are now getting. I see this time and time again in business where they think it is easy to make a quick buck.
Whilst the BSS bashing by Oldie is amusing, I do not know who would be responsible for the fiasco. Ian Holtby is the stadium manager, but who heads up the catering? I bet the club cannot produce an organagram to show the structure! This puts undue pressure on BSS who is the only one with any BALLS to front up and face the music. Others (Below board level) are as accountable as BSS its just that they are well hidden/keeping their heads down.

I've got a lot of time for certain people in this club. However, its just not good enough. If they want our money they need to perform. I was shouted at in the club shop before the Mansfield game because i dared to try and return my sons new shirt as I saw it as defective. Yet they expect me to return with my Son and buy a £10.50 ticket to watch them?
The club is guilty of doing what a lot of businesses do. They scrimp on a few salarys thinking that they are saving money by asking others to "cover" that role in addition to thier own. This is a failure from the start. If you have the right people in the reight places doing the right job, you'll give the customer better service/value. they will then want to return... But I'm no expert, I just have money to spend.......

Took mine for the first time in the stands and they enjoyed it. At £1 a kid i could do it - at a 10er a time for 3 kids i cant. The club, however, really need to have some form of entertainment in place before the game to keep the kids interested. I'd even go as far as suggesting id help! Hope they do it again/

I'm up for Chester. Wouldn't mind bumping into some of the ffsc on Sunday if possible? Names to face etc. will look to be much more active this year
I do like the idea of a ladies day. I can put 3 couples on that for sure.
