Anyone know how they are getting on at Hungerford?

With at least a fair bit of rebuilding required again, 3 key players will determine how much we have to do and how much we can build around what we have. Our 3 "big money" signings in summer 2022.... 1) Antony Evans - everyone was delighted to bring back Evans after a stunning season where he ranked up there with Belly, Collins, Azza and Taylor as key to our promotion. But it's fair to say he has struggled this season to recreate the form - not through lack of effort. Key here for me is playing to his strengths, he is less impactful behind 3 (or 4) attackers, and needs to be our creative source in the AM role to really shine again. Fingers crossed we see some of that before the end of the season. 2) James Connolly - again, another fan-pleasing signing. Has struggled without Taylor alongside him, but he is definetly one we need to protect and nurture. Sure he will come good again in a more settled side (see Luca Hoole for eg). If we can get Gibson on perm and or maybe Taylor back, then we have a good starting position. 3) Luke McCormick - probably the biggest disappointment this season. Like Connolly, he is still young and if we can nurture him correctly, I am sure we will see the best of him again soon. Just worried with both him and Connolly, they could be on the end of another JB slaughter and loaned out losing all the money we spent getting them here. Hope not. Those 3 performing at their best alongside starters like Rossiter, Finley, Hoole, Gibbons, Anderson, Marquis & Loft would mean a lot less pressure on the summer window Back to work... I got slated before the start of the season when I said I didn't think Connolly was as good as many think he is and that Taylor made him look better than he is. But as is usually the case I have been proven right. Antony Evans will come good again I think but been disappointing this season. Luke McCormick is a strange one. I was very pleased we resigned him but he has been very disappointing and we nearly always look a weaker team with him in it.

It was a blatant red card! It was a firm challenge, yellow at most. He's fouled him from behind with studs up about 20 hours after the ball has gone. It was as red as a Ferrari.

It was a blatant red card! Have you seen the replay of the 'Head Butt'? Their player should get a 3 game ban for simulation. I don't mean for the headbutt, and yes I did see the simulation but it was a red card before that regardless.

Just putting this out there. I know pens are important and take skill to convert, but there are undoubtedly a lot more given in modern times. England goals from open play: Charlton 46 from 106 caps Rooney 46 from 120 Greaves 44 from 57 Lineker 44 from 80 Owen 39 from 89 Kane 36 from 81 Kane may well go past them all, of course, but it’s not a given. Charlton as a midfielder and Greaves’ totals are mightily impressive. Greaves never took a pen for England. Owen and Rooney both peaked at such a young age and never really improved, if anything went backwards.

While that is a fair point, Rooney failed to deliver when it really mattered. Not like Kane then Did anyone ever see that ball again after it was launched into space He's got a lot closer and was top scorer at the Euro's.

Pleased to see Kane overtake Rooney as top England goalscorer. I never liked the attitude of the scowling one. I think Kane has probably got a higher % of his goals from penalties though, which obviously don't count. Kane - 18 pens scored in 81 appearances Rooney - 7 pens scored in 120 appearances Worth noting that for a long time Lampard was Englands regular pen taker during Wazza’s international career (9 scored) While that is a fair point, Rooney failed to deliver when it really mattered.

Not only am I just fed up of Barton going on Twitter rants about officiating but it now seems Wael is??? Utterly embarrassing You don't even have to check the result, if Mario is active on here then you know we lost.

Seems like last night could be a potential turning point in his career. I expect him to get more of a chance now and hopefully he will back it up. It's strange how little game time he's been given by Howe when he was probably MotM in the second half. Carefully managing him into the team. I think gradual progression and integration into the team is the best way at that age for their long term development.

Players expect praise when things are going well, however the flip side also applies. In addition as our admission money pays for players salary then it is not out of order for us to see comments by the manager in the public domain. The flip side of praising players who are doing well isn't necessarily slagging them off when their form dips. There are other approaches, like motivation, consideration, development and empathy. It can be done. And if you are going to lambast them then at least make sure you do it behind closed doors! 🙈

Oxford✅ Barnsley➖ Forest Green✅ So the streak goes to a 4th game, the sly, cheating Wycombe mutants at the Home of Football BS7. Never easy against these swines, but the loss of their god Ainsworth & our recent upturn in form, I’m going 2-1 home win to the Football League’s only true club to sport the quarters! Big atmosphere night at the Mem incoming, Marquis to notch once again and Super Azza to settle matters🤘🏼 Into these Gasssss💙💙💙 Dude looks like a lady

Wycombe's recent former manager Gareth Ainsworth is taking one hell of a beating at Blackpool. 4-0 and not even HT yet, that will be hard for their fans to accept.

Lost both games so far without scoring. The Garnerball effect... Table toppers Orient up next, I wonder how long he can survive in the role. Sort of a derby match too.
