32 points from 21 games translates into 71 points over a complete season, hardly odds on for the drop but I do agree,we need 4-5 new players, not just squad players but players who would improve the first eleven. Credit to the entire squad, they have dug deep and battled for 90+ minutes in every game but there are clearly some who are punching above their weight, GC has said the backing is there and he intends to get the business done early, that would make a change from the 'last chance saloon' signings we've seen in recent seasons but action speaks louder than words, over to you GC!

Bonham 7.5 a good competent game, its good to see him coming off his line and claiming the ball more. J. Clarke 5 probably him worst game of what has been a good season for him. Lockyer 7 defended well but still cant pass the ball with any quality. Craig 7.5 gave his usual no nonsense display. Holmes-Dennis 7 made mistakes but still shows quality and set up the winner. Upson 6.5 did all the ugly stuff ok but little creativity. O. Clarke 7 great goal, faded in the second half. Ogogo 8 played further forward to good effect, his best home game. Sercombe 6 still a long way off his best but at least he put in a good shift. Nichols 7 worked hard and looks to be the best choice to partner JCH Clarke-Harris MoM 8.5 a classic centre forwards goal and a last minute winner, what a great buy he's proving to be. Subs: Sinclair 6 did his usual job ok. Rodman 6 didnt change the game but gave us more width. Jakubiak. 6 not on long but deserves a marking as he helped in the build up for the winner. Crowd 7 nervous but decent support. Ref 6 ok. Bradford 6 outplayed us in midfield but defensively vulnerable but we've been beaten by worse teams this season.

Bonham 6 didnt have too much to do and not much he could have done for the Luton goals J. Clarke 7 solid, got up and down the pitch well Lockyer 6 not as commanding as in previous weeks but I guess the quality of the opposition didnt help. Craig 6.5 an ok game Kelly 5 gave his man far too much space and with THD going off the boil we have a problem at LB Upson 6.5, typical Upson game, won some tackles, gave the ball away sometimes but never game up. O. Clarke 6 a bit like Upson but we know Ollie can do better. Ogogo 6 ok but is he really any better than Sinclair ? Sercombe 5 I can count the number of good games he's played this season on one hand and this wasnt one of them. Nichols 5 The effective man whom we saw in Feb and early March has gone, little boy lost has returned. Clarke-Harris 8.5 M.o.M strong, great goal, worked his socks off, Luton tried to bully him but he'd have none of it!! Subs: Jakubiak 6 not a game changer Reilly n.o.l.e. Crowd 8 good support Ref 5 looked at the league table before the game and acted accordingly. Luton 9 excellent in all positions , they might surprise a few teams in the Championship next season

Bonham 7.5 confident , he gives our defence confidence too. J. Clarke 7.5 he got stuck in,a strong game. Lockyer 9.5 M.o.M . absolutely immaculate, he's in possibly the best form of his career Craig 9 kept the dangerous Charlton forward quiet. Kelly 7 a neat and tidy game, i just wish he'd get tighter on his man but he's young and still learning. Upson 6.5 the best of a lacklustre midfield. O. Clarke 6 not in the best form, nearly won it for us will a real roaster which he's always capable of. Ogogo 6 won a few tackles but gave the ball away too cheaply at times Sercombe 6 an average game but can do so much better. Nichols 5.5 poorest game for a while. Clarke-Harris 7.5 won a lot in the air, so unlucky with the free kick that the keeper saved brilliantly Subs: Jakubiak 7.5 looked really sharp and took the offside goal well. Sinclair n.o.l.e Crowd good numbers on an awful day. Ref 7 got most things right Charlton 6.5 difficult to judge them in awful conditions but I think there are a few better teams up the top end and i cant see them going up.

Bonham 7 much more confident than of late. Partington 6.5 got forward well,a few sloppy moments though. Lockyer 7.5 a commanding game. Craig 7 did little wrong. Holmes-Dennis 7 a good steady game. Upson 7.5 always looking for the ball O. Clarke 7. a much improved performance on last week. Ogogo 8 the pick of the midfield. broke down all the Blackpool efforts, Sercombe 8. as Olly,a much improved display. Nichols 8 linked up well with JCH showed good skill and enery. Clarke-Harris 9 M.o.M.a classic Centre Forward performance, he's a real brute!! Subs: Jakubiak 6.5 a good cameo performance. Reilly 6 did ok. Sinclair n.o.l.e. Crowd 7 supported the team well. Ref 8 very good Blackpool 6 ok, unlucky to catch us on a good day !

Bonham 6 had little to do but kicking erratic. J. Clarke 6 stuck to his task well. Lockyer 7.5 M.o.M. A good strong game from the skipper. Craig 7 solid bar the comical miss-kick that gave away the corner from which the first goal came. Holmes-Dennis 7 showed his usual good quality. Ogogo. 6 bang average Rodman 6 flitted in and out without influencing the game much. O. Clarke 5.5 not a game to remember. Sercombe 6 wasted out wide. Reilly 5 lots of effort,no end product. Clarke-Harris 7 strong in the air,not sure if he can score the goals we need. Subs: Jakubiak 6 ok Upson 6 ok Nichols n.o.l.e. Crowd 7 good numbers, good vocal support, shame the team couldn't respond. Ref 7 decent Sunderland 7 they showed they have what it takes to go up, especially in the second half.

v Man Utd at Old Trafford, January 1964, in FA Cup, lost 4-1, Denis Law hattrick. Went on train from Stapleton Road with grandparents. Anyone else go ? Yes, I went on the supporters club coach,a very one sided game and even our goal was an own goal (Pat Crerand I think) but the atmosphere and the ground was amazing and made for a great day. I think my first away game other than the Sh*t tip was Bournemouth, a draw I think, but the memory is a bit vague. Dean Court is the away ground I've been to the most and I have very pleasant memories of their supporters club bar and getting rat arsed on the delicious Barleycorn Bitter !!

Bonham 5.5 Shakey first half, better after the break. Partington 5 below par , James Clarke is the better of the two Lockyer 6.5 fairly solid Craig 7.little got past him. Holmes-Dennis 7.5 M.o.M quality on a day when few others showed any. Rodman 6.5 anonymous in the first half, much better in the second half. Lines 6 an Ok game but not the driving force he once was. Ogogo 5 disappointing game, the weak link in midfield Sercombe 6.not the player he was last season. Reilly 4.5 ineffective Nichols 4.5 as Reilly Subs: Jakubiak 6.5 a big improvement Clarke-Harris 7.5 big ,strong and wins Headers, very promising, he must start games from now on. J. Clarke 6 n.o.l.e. Crowd 6 good numbers, Ref 1 truly awful, the worst in living memory. Shrewsbury 4 the joke is they aren't a bad side but their spoiling niggly tactics ruined the game.
