3-5-2 spiell, trotman, macca, parkes, gosling, clarke (holding cm), monkhouse (attacking centre mid), lockyer (holding cm), martin, harrison, blisset
Not sure if anyone listed is suspended or injured, but if none are this would be starting 11.

Re Lockyer, I'm not doubting he may have had a dodgy game, but in general I don't think he's getting the credit he deserves. It was a really tough ask for him to step into Michael Smith's shoes, when he's not a specialist right back, but he has played a big part in our miserly defence this year. There's plenty of room for improvement, of course there is, but it's easy to forget that he only turned 20 yesterday (Happy Birthday, Tom!) and to already to have racked up 67 starts for us is a significant achievement. I think he's one of our brightest hopes. He's probably our most consistent player in my opinion

How do you think this current squad would get on in league 2? I think we'd easily be in and around the playoffs, what we have assembled at the moment is a lot better technically than last years, and and in terms of strength and depth the best we've had in many many years.

4-4-2 Mildenhall, leadbitter, Lockyer, trotman, brown, Taylor, mansell, sinclair, martin, cunnington, Harrison I'm finding it harder each week to select the team. I have Mildenhall, Lockyer, Trotman, Brown and Mansell as my first on the sheet players with all others vying for a staring position. I kindda like your suggestion but wonder if Monkhouse will get a starting place? [It depends on whether we are guessing who you would go for and who DC would go for]. I like monkhouse, but mainly because he's a big threat from set pieces because of his height, I think he's more of an away game player...Just picking what I'd go for not DC

4-4-2 Mildenhall, leadbitter, Lockyer, trotman, brown, Taylor, mansell, sinclair, martin, cunnington, Harrison A brave selection but an interesting one. So is that Leadbitter at right back and Taylor right midfield ? This would certainly give more energy down the right side ! Indeed would like to see it happen especially at home! Also think Lockyer is much better at centre back at home, as he can play out from the back more comfortabley than parkes.

Tbh I used to enjoy watching him play, very quick feet and could produce a moment of magic from thin air upfront

I'd player him on the wing, I'm sure he'll be able to glide past most fullbacks one on one at this level, and produce an alright cross... we gotta give Harrison a run of games starting up front, He's our best and most natural goal scorer IMO.
