Does this mean we are holding out hope for reinstatement and not planning for the conference? Is the club review on hold? Will DC have his hands tied for bringing in new players? Do we really have a big enough chance that he should? Hearing the football world react to this news it is clear that we have taken a massive blow to our reputation. Is it justified? How would you feel if we stayed up on a legality? And finally... Drumroll please ... If we do get reinstated, would you have Gary Johnson here? Answers on a postcard. It's so simple it's stupid. Rovers BoD, management, coaching staff, existing and new players should be preparing to win the Conference. End of. The review must still happen and should not mention/consider any legal challenges. New players should already have been identified and approached, with contracts negotiated based on playing in the conference. Maybe add a clause or two about remaining in League Two instead. One press release yesterday screwed our reputation. I'd be happy for the club to STFU and GBTW on this issue, keep it all private from now on. Happy and no.

So if this situation was reversed and we had broken the rules are you saying Wycombe would not of lodged a complaint ? Bolloxs to bad p r , if those cheating scum have broken the rules they should be punished. I realise that not many will agree with me but I just can't be bothered with the legal and financial side of football, it's all bollox. So what if they had a bit of extra finance from a slightly dodgy deal done in 2010. I couldn't care less. Half the teams in the premiership are financed by the ill gotten gains from morally corrupt foreign governments, corporations and organised crime. That doesn't seem to bother anyone. The fact is on the football pitch they were better than us (very marginally). We therefore deserve to be relegated and actually I was quite looking forward to the prospect of winning a few games and maybe even challenging in the conference. I fear now that this will impact so much on our pre-season preparations that we will struggle whichever league we end up playing in.We already know 'the board' are basically not fit-for-purpose, and a large chunk of the squad (many of whom have left) are/were not fit-for-purpose. If the remaining players and/or coaching staff cannot ignore this issue and build a team capable of competing at the top end of the Conference next season, then they're not fit-for-purpose and we're screwed anyway...

And there I was thinking we couldn't sink any lower. I can't see anything good coming from this, just lots of bad pr. Hopefully the damage to reputation doesn't effect our ability to sign players. Come on Rovers, suck it up, stop trying to shift the blame, accept we're a conference team and let's start building a structure and a squad capable of challenging for the title! So if this situation was reversed and we had broken the rules are you saying Wycombe would not of lodged a complaint ? Bolloxs to bad p r , if those cheating scum have broken the rules they should be punished. My problem with the 'PR' is this. Apparently we published the statement on the OS because the press had found the story. Fine, let them run it and issue a 'no comment' or an 'it's with our lawyers' comment. To come out with the details (and the way it was worded) makes even me think we sound like whiny little girls in the school playground who have had our hair pulled by a boy. Wycombe may be in trouble over the issue, but so far (in public) they have handled it more professionally.

Also, the dates that certain things became known are interesting...for example, Torquay dropped 6 points after April 10th, (three of which Wycombe took off them...)

I can see this going the same way as the FaurlĂn case ( www.theguardian.com/football/2011/mar/10/alejandro-faurlin-qpr-instituto-cordoba, which was/is the only case so far under the post-Tevez Third Party Ownership rules. The FA *could* have implemented a points deduction for multiple rules breaches but didn't (many suggest because it would have affected the promotion of QPR and they were happy to steer clear of penalties that affected promotions).

To be honest it sounds like we do have a case here... more legal wranglings.... the football might be s***, but it's a damned good court room drama.......unless they have a shed-load of extra evidence that they're keeping quiet then I susect it'll be quite a short[/i] courtroom drama...

Our template Official Website is poor in the extreme and is a disappointment to most users who find the site slow, the navigation weak and the layout cluttered. What are the views of the Board on the website and their ability to provide a suitable replacement? Will a replacement be forced upon us now? Only I thoght the current website was done by the same people as every other league club? Hence, is it for league clubs only?? In the same sense, I wonder if that will also spell the end of GasPlayer?? The answer to some questions:

Scouting improvements for young players can (in my opinion) take a back-seat until mid-season. Fitness, injury resistance, bringing in players who can fill gaps in the squad is the short-term fix required for me. Issues of major concern to many supporters is lack of player fitness and poor resistance to injuries. This points to possible deficiencies in training techniques, physiotherapy and medical support (including initial assessment of players). What changes does the Board propose to make to address these issues. A good question, but (like so many others) by the time it is asked it will be too late! By mid-June we want 20+ players on-board, all of whom are unlikely to break down in the next 12-24 months and all of whom are ready to start pre-season in ten days time.

Shocking attendance to be honest, can't be more than 20,000 there 14007, so by my reckoning there were 55 other stadiums that crowd could have fitted in, many much closer to Burton and/or Fleetwood...

Could have played Burton v Fleetwood today at The Britannia today given what the size of the crowd looks like...

4. Why did the club publicly admit it hadn't begun planning for relegation before the relegation actually happened? yes what a ridiculous example of short sightedness. Relegation is not an option was all they could come up with. Basically, we havent thought about it, we havent accepted it could happen, we havent planned for it. Everyone could see it had been coming for years. It's certainly been a risk for many years. The only thing more stupid than not planning for it is admitting you've not planned for it...

One thing for sure Dave is that they will read the these threads with great care. The more questions we ask - the more unsettled some Directors will become when their inadequacies are being challenged. Yup. But it will probably put them into an even more intense denial/self-protection phase though, as it's a long list!
