So the players play and the supporters support. It is time for supporters to support the club through this change in playing style. Some on here are so quick to anger. It can’t be healthy for any of us to react so quickly to events outside our direct control. Calm is needed. Events change matches. Seems to be the social media age thing. Only follow headlines, expect immediate answers, expect immediate response, expect immediate results and success. Planning for the future takes time and is not achieved in a few months. Patience needed but a lot of our fans don't have patience. Funny how they gave Barton so much time and a relegation but Taylor has to produce instantly with someone else's team or he has to go.

Mate you do post some bullsh.t,it matters not whether he has played recently it's about does he have the appropriate qualifications etc to be a success in the role. I doubt paper qualifications count for anything when you are trying to find and recruit talent. Listen to Uncle Topper children. Don't go to university or college and get yourself those qualifications! They will do you no good whatsoever, trust your Uncle Topper, he knows!

Just been reading up on Clarke Osborne. I didn't realise he had involvement with us and his history is one of disasters at every club he's been involved with. He shouldn't be allowed near any football club. All the best to Torquay, hopefully admin is the turning point. He was part of the company that owned Eastville and forced us out by raising the rent. Even when he did so much to harm us, the club nearly got back in bed with him in the late 1990s/early 2000s with the South Gloucestershire Arenas Ltd [Company number 03363643] project to build a stadium in or around Avonmouth. That involved Geoff Dunford & Toni Watola [BRFC], Steve Lansdowne [City82], and Clarke, amongst others.....

You couldn't make it up, a player who seems to disappear with the slightest injury now gets rewarded with a senior role at the club. Just when you thought we couldn't employ somebody worse than TW to head up recruitment, we've managed to do it! You have evidence of this ? care to post any links or are you just full of innuendo again As Historians say, we are living in a post truth era where an opinion overrules facts and supposition overrules knowledge. What would an experienced footballer/coach who has played at all levels, is a member of the PFA, UEFA coach qualified, has a wide range of contacts through his own football financial advisory and property business; know about football, communications and using his network? Bugger all, apparently..... For information About My career in elite professional football, encompassing over 500 1st team games and spanning two decades, has provided me with many rewarding experiences and highlights, including three promotion-winning campaigns and a large number of personal accolades. It has also given me the opportunity to play under and learn from a host of successful and high-profile managers who have all helped shape my own football philosophies. As I move into my mid-30s and the closing chapter of my playing career, I am now seeking to embark on new and exciting challenges within the football industry. I have a keen interest in many different aspects of the game, particularly recruitment and the management of player loans, and I have added to my bank of qualifications by recently attaining my UEFA A Licence in coaching as well as a Certificate in Football Marketing & Management. The knowledge and expertise I have accumulated during my career, not only within football but also as owner and director of two successful business ventures, has equipped me with a strong and transferrable skillset. A media degree has enhanced my communication skills, I have demonstrated outstanding leadership qualities as a club captain and my business interests have enabled me to become proficient in administrative tasks and financial planning. My passion for football still burns as brightly as it did when I was a 17-year-old making my debut for Exeter City in 2005. I am proud of my record of having played at every level of English football – from the Conference to the Premier League – and I believe my enthusiasm, energy and strong work ethic helps generate a positive response from others.

This will probably be one of those horrible scrappy battling games our players hate. The manager is well aware of our weaknesses, so let's see how the players we have available react and cope. Time to step up lads! Let's not be bullied. I'm hoping for a couple from CM and a 2-0 win

If we see this out (🤞) and get a result here, under great pressure this team and Matt delivered. I’ve enjoyed the football this second half. We could still f**k this up Ever the optimist

You can rest easy on that one. Although we could easily win 3-2. Bring it on. 🙈 2-2 you must be gutted!

😆I’m just suggesting that we are playing better and we are. God forbid if we come back and win 3-2, you'll probably be starting that bloody bus back up 🙈 Better than just being a WUM, bet you're glad when we lose so you can wind other Gasheads up! Ooh look we lost, I can wind Gasheads up. Sure you shouldn't be on OTIB?

We have gone back to Barton ball in the last 3 games. We once again seem more interested in stopping when we’ve got the ball, going back or going sideways. We’ve not played one through ball yet. We only played one on Saturday and we scored. That’s how we need to play at this level, this slow Tempo sh** will send us down. Barton Ball? The stuff that tends to return 60-70% possession therefore limiting the opposition time on the ball? Pass and move slick Brazilianesque skills from back to middle to back? The stuff which got us promoted and solidified as a stable 3rd tier side? Bring that back. What, the League One 65% possession and no shots on goal football, and saw us wallowing in 17th place and got Barton sacked. That football!

Home commentary laughing about us constantly going backwards … They are not wrong though. Kick off after second goal right back to Ward.

This has a whiff of when we got dicked by Accrington in the snow 3 years ago. This looks like Accrington away last season where we were bullied, intimated and their players were far more astute and football wise. We look as if we have given up and like frightened rabbits.

Agree. Barton spanked Wigan but then lost to the eventually relegated Accrington who bullied us off the park just as Fleetwood and Burton did. This is a steep learning curve for our loanees. Sadly others will benefit from their eventual toughening up.... People gave Barton a relegation and shedloads of time. Something they won't give to Taylor! This squad is far better than the one Garner, Tisdale, Widdrington and then Barton couldn't get a tune out of. That team was a disgrace This one although disjointed, isn't, there is quality within it. However the last 2 home performances are as bad as anything the Garner/Tisdale/Widdrington/Barton team put out imo Can't argue with that Gastafari, it seems he is now saying in public what he is obviously trying to get across in private! At least fans know he understands the issues. Now he has to sort it, with time and patience from fans. But look at the teams ahead, if they play ugly, don't expect a result!

How motivated would you be at work if the boss kept repeating you were useless? I don't believe they are mentally weak, they just can't cope with the physical nature of the game, which is hardly their fault. I'm a contractor. If I don't do my job to the best of my ability, and am not prepared to learn then I would be told straight. Then if I didn't buck up I would be out. I've not had it personally but seen many short term/contract workers lose their jobs through not doing what they are asked or performing to the best of their ability or attitude. What do you want Taylor to do, wrap them in cotton wool, play for them? Football is a tough gig, that's why so few players make it.

Yet we've took 4 points of Portsmouth, outplayed Barnsley, beaten Bolton away etc etc But this is the issue, 4 points off Pompey with two different managers, Barton spanked Wigan, but what is clear is……….the squad is weak and inconsistent, the first 13 can beat anyone. This isn’t MT’s inconsistent squad, he’s been given pocket money in the window to spend, why are we not giving him the summer window and patience? Agree. Barton spanked Wigan but then lost to the eventually relegated Accrington who bullied us off the park just as Fleetwood and Burton did. This is a steep learning curve for our loanees.
