Ok so, don't shoot the messenger.... I'm not one to spread a malicious rumour and I don't want any of this to be true and also I love my club, I am not out to cause damage but I had to share this and ask if anyone else has any clue of this rumour? That out of the way. When the person told me this today, I said what a load of b#ll@cks and I wouldn't have any of it. So I will share with you what I was told. My work colleagues wife's friend works for Rovers in a office based job (not sure what job) and she is being laid off in July because, wait for it, we are going into administration and get this, Lansdown in some way is bailing us out. I personally think it's a load of crap but it is something I couldn't keep to myself and I do hope there is no true to this rumour. As I said don't shoot the messenger. UTG

Christ alive I thought this place was bad sometimes! Pure hatred on that forum, he can't be that bad, trouble is it's difficult to maintain good form in a poor side.

No disrespect KP but you do seem a little obsessed with mentioning the sh**.Let it go mate, the gas will always be here wether they are in the premier league or the conference.f**k them, they are nuffink. Does where you live make a difference about comparison stuff? Haven’t lived in Bristol for 50 years so they’re not anything I ever think about except on a Saturday afternoon when I smile to see them lose. But if you live in Bristol, even in the same street, perhaps it’s more of an issue and some could get “obsessed”. I’ve always said I don’t even think about them but perhaps it’s easier for me being well away from Bristol. Do you Bristol fans hate them more than us Bristol exiles do? UTG! F them and F that w@nk#r owner of theirs, for me there is only 1 club in this city and that is the Rovers. Let's concentrate on our club. UTG

Didn't see James Clarke put a foot wrong for the time he was on. He is a right back and not a defensive wing back after all. Didn't do much wrong but didn't do anything particularly great either. Partington is a much better footballer. And he's a defender who scores, you can't say that about too many of our defense at the mo.

Bennett was excellent They were better when Pereira replaced JJOT, his forward passing was very effective. We were so dominant and such the better team. Disappointing to have one stole from us, but we've done that a lot this season so we can't complain. Gaffney had a mare. Some of the interplay between bennett, lines and sercs was pleasing on the eye. Another goal conceded from a floated ball in the box. Our fans - we keep the ball and pass it around the back and there's disgruntlement and shouts of "get it forward". What's wrong with keeping the ball and probing without lumping it?! Also about 5 rows behind me a punter was slagging off Byron moore, whatever happened to supporting the quarters? In general it's a sign of how far we've come in comparison to the cobblers who walked the league a few years ago. UTG You're right, we should be playing it out from the back and with slocombe in goal I thought we did that well today, if you look at the size of the opposition they were huge, so why lump it forward, we were never going to win it in the air. Slagging off any players who come out in the quarters is stupid, we should be getting behind them. UTG

Didn't the club a couple of seasons back freeze ST for a period of time if you bought them before a certain deadline? I believe it was when Wael first took over. Anybody shed any light on this?

Had my first Steak & Ale pie on Saturday, worth every penny of the £3.80 purchase price. Can't wait until Saturday to part with another £3.80 for said pastry based savoury product - GURT LUSH PIE BABBER!!! The steak and ale pie is superb but to be honest I much preferred the steak pie from the previous supplier. At first, I wasn't happy with the change but they have grown on me or actually made my stomach grow lol

I was told at the last game the chorizo sausage rolls were discontinued. They were and we're from the previous supplier. The new sausage rolls are superb, be prepared for the downward force from the sheer weight of them when you are handed one. Definately a meal not a snack. Yep I had one instead of the chorizo version and it was very large and very nice but boy did it give me indigestion later.

I was told at the last game the chorizo sausage rolls were discontinued. Spreading rumours no doubt. No seriously, I asked for one in the north terrace like I normally do and the guy in the last pasty hut said they'd discontinued them.

I enjoy both the sausage roll and Pie but i find the meat pies have to much pepper in them Over too your peoples for your comments sauasge & chorizo are ok need more meat it’s like a pepperami floating in the middle of pastry Only had 1 pie steak and ale quite nice needs a bit more juice in there though a bit dry,I like mine wet mind 😊 I was told at the last game the chorizo sausage rolls were discontinued.

For the team. Determined For us gasheads. Loyal (but that is sometimes questionable, reading some responses to some threads)

so like a lot of clubs then But wouldn't it be nice if we could not be one of those clubs? To actually be able to keep hold of a few of our better ones so the club goes up the leagues rather than one individual? The risk is, if you rely on that for income, and you don't unearth one, you stagnate. I would say we have to be sustainable as a club to be able to keep our players, then and only then could we pay better wages until that point players like BB will always leave for better money/prospects. We need to get it right off the pitch and to be honest the way Dwayne sports has started by purchasing the training ground, building up the youth academy and development squads is IMO the correct way to run the club. It is about building blocks, success will not come straight away, nor will outside investment until all the correct things are in place. UTG

So, Lee Brown has been a great servant to the club for a good number of years. He's shown graft and dedication, and a never say die attitude at left-back. He's been the epitome of a hard-worker, and has shown an admirable loyalty to the club. Who can forget his penalty at Wembley to help us to the first promotion, and then his right footed shot at the end of the '16 season to see us to an historic second promotion in two years? But, if Lee Brown were to come round our cul-de-sac and practise his ball skills at an unsociable hour. If he were to do keepie-uppies outside my bedroom window in the small hours, or continually hit the ball against my garage door, in the middle of the night, while I was trying to get some much-needed sleep, I'd have to say, Oi! Browner, No! I admire your dedication to the Gas, and your loyalty to the club, but I do not appreciate being kept awake in the middle of the night! And, I'd give him a slap. Similarly, who can fail to be impressed by Darrell Clarke's record as manager of BRFC? Taking over at the nadir of our existence, and guiding the club to two successive promotions was certainly an immense, and desperately needed, achievement. He has shown great leadership and a knack for tactical nuance. Who can forget his run to the Gas end at Wembley, and his table-standing banter against the Grimsby Telegraph? But if he were to stop me in Tesco's and try to organise my shopping, I'd be less than Impressed. If he were to structure my groceries around another one of his new projects, and pick a first eleven vegetable-based shopping list to his exacting specifications, say choosing broccoli over my over personal favourite, brussel sprouts, then I wouldn't be happy. If he were to interrupt my trip to the supermarket with his ideas for getting the most out of a limited budget, then I'd have to say, Oi! DC, No! I appreciate your ability to pick the Rovers team, and to change things around at half-time, but I do not appreciate your attempts to over-achieve with my weekly shop! And, I'd give him a slap. Bit like Wael, who has been a breath of fresh air since he took over the club. He had invested a lot of money in BRFC and who can fail to be charmed by his boyish enthusiasm for the game. He has strived to bring the club's finances up to date and put us on a sound financial footing going forward, and any Gashead would appreciate that the purchase of the training ground has to be an excellent step forward. But, if he were to interrupt my evening's television viewing, I wouldn't be very pleased. If he were to keep trying to discuss football while I was watching Strictly Come Dancing, or he were to start a discussion about an all-time best Chelsea eleven just as the credits to Doctor Who started rolling, then I'd have to say, Oi, Wael, No! You may be the mild-mannered saviour of our club, and I am nothing but impressed by your mixing with the crowd on match days, and your undoubted investment in your new-found club, but I do not want someone talking football all over my Game of Thrones binge-watch! And, I'd give him a slap. It is nice to see something light hearted on here instead of the under handed digs at DC, the boys and the owners, at last some praise for all at the club, without them we wouldn't be where we are now. Well done AF for the positive thread. UTG

Well if true, well done DC. He looks like a good signing, plays on the left cuts in on his right and scores very good goals. Onwards and upwards with DC in charge

It’s a **** take, not that we have not signed anybody, yet, but the fact we were told two were coming in Monday or Tuesday and yet again, ***** all from Hamer, who l assume is the new Higgs ? on the communication front. I have not heard any interview with Hamer so cant comment on that .However D.C. did say early next week (last week). So I guess its down to what he meant by early. As somebody pointed out elsewhere Yeovil Town are playing tonight so "if" one of the players was the lad Khan then perhaps they have signed contracts dated for tomorrow so that one of the boys banned games is used up by tonights fixture.
He go careful with the positivity, that doesn't go down to well with some people on here but I like that thought of 'them' using games up before they sign, let's hope that is DC's way of thinking too. In DC we trust. UTG
