2nd year in a row we have hit our best form when he hasnt been in the side...........
Not fishing, just pointing out the fact. I think he's a cracking player but I'd argue we are a much better "team" and play much more expansive football when he isnt in the side.

I'm excited about the fact we are now going to take analytics seriously. So much information out there to help us improve all over the club.

Overheard James Clarke's dad saying he had been left out of squad. Not injured.

Higgs wanted me on a three year deal, DC wanted to look elsewhere, Higgs then tabled a four year deal to which I said no. I was offered a six year deal yesterday. Surely a ten year deal Dave based on your IT skills....

Central midfield were our problems yesterday. The Lines/Lockyer combination was awful. Agree 100% on the use of the subs yesterday. Said at the time DC may aswell have not bothered, he just made like for like changes.
How could Montano make any impact when he was never given the ball?

Dreadful player. Tacically inept. I made a point of watching him a few times when the games were going on and he had absolutely no idea what was going on around him. He often left our full backs exposed and was tactically naive. Pace and a good jump was all he had.

Wasnt that bad. If they stick the goals on in order it will be fine. Its great to see a non-subscription channel put a Football League highlights show on at prime time on a Saturday night. Hats of to Channel 5. Its the first show for christs sake. They will tweak it I'm sure. Far better than listening to Clem, Rosenior or Claridge and a nice alternative to the dreadful Match of the Day format.
Far from a perfect show, but far from the mess people claiming.

Not desperate to put it down to the board cocking up. However to lay all the blame at the feet of Sainsbury and have fans leave trolleys of food is embarrassing. A poorly worded contract (which the judge made a point to state) was signed by us on the advice of our legal team. Higgs also knew they wanted out. That's why I am angry. We knew for some time, tried to hide it. We should've had a contingency plan in place for failure. Our debts have hugely risen. Yet agin people would rather blame a supermarket chain rather than the large number of poor decisions by the custodians of the club that have put us in a potentially dire position. OK so let's say it is all the board's fault. They have made a ''large number of poor decisions'' and we are now in a bad position... What do you want to happen now? If Higgs walks & takes HIS money out, the club will be dead! Higgs & the board have done everything they could for this club. Why are you so insistent on knocking them at every opportunity!? If it wasn't for him (and Dunford before) we probably wouldn't even have a Bristol Rovers to support!! Higgs got so so close to getting us the stadium that the club deserves. He must be devastated that Sainsbury's decided to wriggle out and let us all down so badly! The money that has been loaned to the club? They havent simply given their money up have they. Thats whey he is chasing this, to make back his money. The boards poor decisions and poor financial management mean we have to hit crowds of 9000 just to break even. I appreciate that they have stepped forward, but to say he has given his money isnt as simple as it really is. Its a loan that he wants back. Just because they have loaned the club money doesnt mean the decisions they have made are untouchable from criticism.

I have read the case thank you. Its clear that our board and legal team ploughed on despite many issues that were ultimately doomed to fail. Sainsburys wanted out, Higgs knew this for months and LIED through his teeth to the fans. Only when pushed on Radio Bristol last September did he admit it.
I have no issue with Sainsburys wanting out of a contract. Loads of us have wanted out of mobile/broadband/tv etc contracts but been unable to as the contract was watertight.
Sainsburys anted out and unfortunately for us, the legal time that advised us to sign the initial contract appear to have shafted us with some poor work.

What an embarrassing thread. I think I'll continue to shop and get petrol at Sainsburys, just like I continue to drink at The Welly.
How about a protest at the REAL people at fault? Like our chairman who lied for months when he knew the deal was pretty much dead in the water. Or the legal experts who have offered us such poor advice. Or the rest of the board who have overseen two relegations in 4 years in seen the clubs debt dramatically rise. Might be best to get the priorities right first.

Cheers for the replies guys. Yep, already got my hands on the programme, just after a ticket. Saw one about 3 years ago for about £15, wish I went ahead and got it. I will join the Fulham forum and ask there.
As for the Flux Capacitor, I am a BTTF nut so his present will also include something BTTF related!

I'm after a ticket stub from this game. Long shot I know. Dad turns 60 this year, this is from the day he was born. I already have a programme, would love to have the ticket to go with it when I get it framed in a few months.
Any help appreciated.
Thanks.
Ash
