I remember going to Plymouth away in the late 80s or early 90s. Can’t remember which year but the game was called of because of fog so we went onto Torquay and watched them play. Don’t remember the opposition or the result (maybe a few shandies had been consumed😂😂😂) but there were a lot of blue and white quartered shirts at the game and we gave torquay one of their bigger attendances that season.

1-2. Same as Wycombe. Lots of possession but very few chances. They’ll have about 3 shots and two will go in. Feel very pessimistic about today’s game.

Theo Chandler, freelance reporter: “#bristolrovers remain in negotiations with #pufc over Jonson Clark-Harris. Rovers had hoped fee could be agreed however Peterborough standing firm on valuation. #DCFC remain interested but yet to make bid as of this morning. Very much expect this one to go to the deadline.” At what point do we tell 'Gobby MacAnthony' and his little evil sidekick Fry to shove the deal up their arses. We are wasting valuable time here on finding a striker valued properly. To be fair we don’t know that. It could be a cover being spun on social media while Barton and co are busy looking at someone else. So far there’s been nothing concrete either way from Rovers.

A couple of things. If JCH goes to Derby then it was never about moving nearer his family. If he comes here it needs to be because he wants to come here rather than just because he didn’t get a better offer. I also wonder if it’s a smoke screen for another signing (I’ve no idea who) but it keeps the focus away from our real objective.

Was that you who made the same points on Radio Bris. I agree with the Finley comments, but a fit Grant is a quality player.

Ready to be shot down but I wasn’t that impressed by George Friend. For me he was ok, but nothing more. Hopefully that’s just about fitness etc but I expected more. I also can’t see why Wilson was preferred to Taylor at CB. Again it looked like a change for the sake of it and this was one of many that upset the balance of the team. I thought Hunt was excellent and is a good addition. Similarly with Brown, who looked sharp at times.

Enough is enough, another horrible performance If that's your answer and logic then you'll need to drop all of them Collins is desperately out of form or position. One or the other but today he was totally ineffective. If it’s positional then move him, if it’s form then drop him. But you aren’t wrong about the others. Finley, Sinclair both had off games. The point about having lots of midfielders is that they can be dropped and someone else can stake a claim.

No, you can’t support Somerset if you’re Rovers. That’s like wearing a half and half scarf. What if you started supporting The Gas when they played in Twerton, Somerset played in Bath at least once per season which Glos didn’t.

perhaps Bristol could do a Sheffield next season, promotion to Prem and Championship!, bitter sweet? How many fans would choose this vs those who would refuse to stop the teds being in the prem?

m The only place I’ve ever been involved in football violence (which I’ve always hated). Came out of Filbert St, having lost the game and got attacked by a large group. We ran but I got caught and ended up with me against 6 of them (there’s no hero story here). They thought it would be fun to use my face and body as a punchbag. I nearly missed my coach home and was in agony for days. I got into trouble at work for not being able to do my job and moved to a department I hated to keep me out of customer view. And a girl I was hoping to ask out on a date after making a bit of progress (rare for me back then) refused to talk to me as she didn’t want to go out with a football thug (despite my mates trying to explain). I’ve been in near misses (mostly at trashton) but never involved directly anywhere else. And you expect trouble at the sh*t so kind of go prepared and find ways to avoid it but Leicester caught me totally off guard. But apart from all that you had a nice day out? Yep. Top quality. Held a grudge for over 30 years it was so good.

Would that have been the first away game at filbert st in the old div 1?those terraced streets were a battleground pre and after the game Sounds about right.

Underwhelming at best. While I accept some saying that the effort levels will drop given the circumstances it is an insult to the fans who traveled at some expense that the team made such a half hearted effort. I certainly won’t be parting with any money to travel to any of the remaining away games to watch the players amble about for 90 mins.
