Drive to underground station near Heathrow and park - or download an app and find parking on someones drive, then tube and bus it to the Valley. Citymapper is a brilliant app for transport, takes all the stress out of it. There are many parking apps, of which I find yourparkingspace very good.

the grey flashes to silver in the sun, all shirts have the braille message in the shirt pattern, a little bit in relief like the gasometer metalwork on the home shirt. The "limited edition" actually has the braille in the bottom left corner. Don't forget, £4 is split between the 2 Rovers charities too. Great initiative, helping local causes.

Don't know if I can explain my thoughts correctly but will try. Indicative granting of pp, should be 8 weeks. BCC seem to have a massive backlog, and whether we are partly at fault or not, looks like it may take several/many months to gain pp for a relatively simple new stand. While that is a mild annoyance/pain in the ass, it doesn't bode well for pp for the FM. IIRC, the whole deal seemed to rest on Conyger gaining pp for the plot within the year, I seem to recall end of March 24? My point is, if it takes several months to gain pp for a simple stand, is it possible/likely to take much longer to gain pp for the FM, which after all is an infinitely more complex project, that combined with high inflation and interest rates for borrowing money, may give Conyger an easy out, from developing that land - including a stadium.

I don't know the ins and outs of the relationship between this company and its ownerships of Bristol Rovers, but the share split action above very much looks like the action that would be taken to create shares for raising equity finance. That’s about £21Ks worth of shares, so wouldn’t seem a massive investment? Or is my back of fag packet up the Swaney?

Still no news on George Friend - seems to have gone missing for a while now. Not mentioned as injured which is odd. Friend is included in the Evil Post's injury list today

Apart from the fact, we recently haven't got a full squad at the start of the season, and losing a few early on, makes for a difficult season.

Its about time the CEO told the EFL to do one, we predominantly get an away draw to start the season, because its a tad difficult for City to organise policing for the Balloon fiesta. Who gives a flying crap? Its not our problem. Being away most seasons means we statistically have less chance of a win, which in turn affects a number of following games if we lose. Then to cap it all off, we are also away on NYD and the last day of the season.

Tom is a great player, and I loved his wholehearted game while at Rovers. But just don't get this love-in. He arguably left us worse off than the snake did when he left, refusing to sign a new improved contract effectively means he left for no fee, at least we got £300,000 for the snake (now i do get the hate-in for him)

Its not an "ordinary" touchline ban, is a ground ban. Looks like Joey can have a belated holiday for the first 3 games of the season lol.

7 Subs

Post by thegasman on May 11, 2023 12:36:24 GMT
You can make up to 2 concussion subs per game. If you make a concussion sub, the opposition is also allowed to make a further substitution. IIRC, for a concussion sub, you have to hand a particular card to the 4th who has to inform the ref and opposition, to allow them an extra (or possibly 2)- substitution.

Domestic streaming audio services will remain alongside existing audio-visual arrangements for international audiences via iFollow and club streaming services. I used to watch matches on my PC, utilising VPN software, to allow me to be " located" virtually anywhere in the world. I came across a VPN router - that attaches to your normal router and allows you to create upto 100 virtual international vpn locations. These are available as wifi locations, or by using TP link gadgets, allow the 100 locations to be ethernet cable connected. This wicked little invention means I can now watch all Rovers games on my big TV, in my comfortable lounge, instead of the box room on a computer screen. You can even use your existing vpn subscription, instead of buying theirs. I had to wait a while for delivery, and it is about £130 if you use your existing vpn subscription, but when you compare that to £100 + for each away game, it can help save a lot of money. www.invizbox.com/products/ib2/The finances stack up as follows: VPN router £130 VPN software £30 ( I use surfshark at £60 for 2yrs) International match pass approx £9 So for the 1st season of 23 away matches = 130 + 30 + (23×9) = £367 All seasons after = 30 + (23×9) = £237 or about £10 a game Of course, this becomes even better value for money, if you have difficulty getting to any home games, or some that are sell-out.

I surmise that the stadium - as far as Conyger are concerned - is being treated as an enabler, they may not make any money on it, but it opens the door to being able to develop the rest of the wider area. BCC would like a sports venue provided, it may include facilities for the new residents, so the stadium becomes the quid pro quo, or like the S106 agreement, a way councils get the contractor to pay for stuff they can't really afford. Provide a £30M stadium and you will find it easier to get pp for the £500M first phase development with an opportunity to get the 2nd and/or 3rd tranches of development.
