Weird if Nelson let his contract expire and then chose to re-sign. We should get in quick with a really good salary package. I would certainly make my interest known to his agent and do my best to get him. Then his agent comes back and says Oxford are offering £5k a week but he’s only listening to offers of £7.5k plus and is holding out for a move to the championship. Happens all the time in May/June, agents play clubs off against each other for as much cash as possible and the players rarely commit to anything so early on. I’m sure Coughlan will learn of the frustration of it all, sooner rather than later. |

No negotiation, that's the best and final offer with a two week deadline, take it or leave it. Shouldn't be too unrealistic given we are losing some of our biggest earners as well as saving money from the budget by reducing staff and squad numbers. |

I don't think GC will be taking a punt on any non-league players. ISTM he's looking to bring in 4/5 experienced players of at least EFL level 1 that he expects to go straight into the first team - no bench warmers for him. Can't see Partington, Payne, Bennett or Mensah being here next season - or Tom Nichols come to that. GC said he’ll be working with Nichols to score more goals next season (!) so that implies he’ll be here. |

I'd love it if we could make a move and bring in the 18-year-old Basford United striker Zak Goodson before someone else at this level or above takes the chance on him. Get him in the development squad and within a year he would be knocking on the door of the first team. Got some of the attributes that Nichols has, but more importantly he looks to play on the shoulder and run in behind...and is a very good finisher. If for whatever reason we couldn't get Bonham, then another keeper to consider is Leicester City's 6ft 4in Denmark U21 player Daniel Iverson. He impressed on loan with Oldham this season keeping 16 clean sheets.

Would take all of them, but wages might be a problem and I doubt Wael would be given permission. For the right backs Tom James (Yeovil), Jordan Williams (Barnsley), Cameron Coxe (Cardiff), Vontae Daley-Campbell (Arsenal), Jude Russell (Crystal Palace) or Andrew Lyons (Bohemians) could do a job. |
