Alfie May from Cheltenham Town and Finn Azaz from Aston Villa would be fantastic signings and show great intent to seriously challenge next season. Ps or Dom Telford from Crawley Town May too old at 30, 31 next season. ... May is a year younger than Marquis and has got 48 goals in the last 2 seasons (57 in 140 apps for Cheltenham in total).
He can clearly score a decent haul of goals at this level and is out of contract(?)
What's not to like?

May is contracted until next summer. Looks like Hollywood Wrexham are homing in on May, with Gillingham interested too as he is from the south east. Dont think we would have a chance either way

Because he is under contract for starters, so would command a fee, somewhere in the region of 300-400k at least. He's likely to only have one more good season in him before he will tail away, and is suited to a very direct set play which is not our style. Its a very short sighted option when there are much better around at this level and the level below on the way up.

Agree with Telford too arrogant don't think he's Joeys type of player either can see them clashing. Looking through the league 2 top scorers Luke Armstrong Harrogate stood out, anyone know much about him 16 goals for team low in the division isn't a bad return plus there's a few assist in there as well

On being direct, I've found a lot of the football under JB easy on the eye, but Sunday again showed that we need to remember that the objective is to score goals. We're shot shy and often too slow in our build up, whereas others go route 1 and score against us. Collins goal against Wednesday showed we can benefit from pace and a direct approach.
Either way, we're likely to lose Collins and need to make sure we replace those goals - or we are in trouble next season. A decent fee for Collins & I don't think 3-400k for May would be wasted money. Whether we'd get him is another matter.

"May has 12 months left on his contract, with the option for a further year, but his form has seen him linked with several clubs across the English football pyramid.
Championship sides Birmingham - who reportedly failed with a deadline-day approach in January - Huddersfield and Millwall are all said to be keen on the 29-year-old's signature.
While third-tier Peterborough and Derby, plus League Two Gillingham, are reportedly keeping an eye on the situation.'
If championship sides are indeed after his signature then I can't see any he he won't fit in hmat rovers

Jamal Blackman, Archie collins both out of contract at Exeter and would improve us, Sam Nombe there also who is decent.
Hope we get transfers in early, no james constable sagas again.

It’s really come together for him this past 18 months after a sluggish introduction to pro football. Didn’t make the grade at Salford just 1 goal in 25 but has really improved at Harrogate. 26 too so plenty of future there.

Last season at the Mem he was one ofthe worst players I've ever seen playing professional football. Seriously he reminded me of a sunday league player. ( no offence to sunday league players ) But he was hopeless.

I mentioned Ethan Bristow earlier in the thread, but Josh Dacres-Cogley has also impressed at Tranmere and could be a good option if we are looking to add in that area.

Kazeem Olaigbe a 20-year-old winger on loan at Harrogate from Southampton impressed this season and Southampton will probably be looking for him to play at a higher level next season.

ACM, more in the Collins role I would say. Plays wide, comes inside or sits behind the front 2.

A few more lads with potential that are playing lower down the non-league pyramid that have caught the eye and are worth scouting with a view to our u18s, would be Jokubas Mazionis (Enfield Borough), Sammy Henia-Kamau (Jersey Bulls) and Jaiden Celestine-Charles (Langley). Jokubas Mazionis is a tall 16-year-old commanding centre half already experiencing first team football at his young age. Another Kinetic Academy lad, he is tough tackling, comfortable on the ball and good in the air. Represented Lithuania at u16 and u17 level.

I think Jensen Weir would be a good addition.
He's had a good season at Morecambe and his contract is up at Brighton.
If Brighton renew then a season long loan but if they don't then get him in permanently.
