If Tyreece John-Jules leaves Arsenal and moves to League One level in a permanent move I wouldn’t mind him here. Plenty of ability in the 6ft 22-year-old and a promising future. Had an injury interrupted season, but when he did play he produced interesting data and glimpses of his potential. Looking at the teams he's been loaned out to Rovers/mid table L1 side seems an unlikely destination for him next.

Josh Stokes, 17-year-old attacking midfielder Watched a bit of Stokes in the AFC Sudbury U18s and impressed and now doing it at first team level. Well worth monitoring and a closer look. Good signing for Tommy Widdrington and good move for the lad stepping up 3 levels. Will watch his progress with interest after first posting in the thread about him in October 2021.

Could we look to expand our recruitment to abroad? I have seen decent data and heard good things about this 19-year-old 5ft 11in Italian-born Albania U21 international centre forward Stiven Shpendi at 3rd tier side Cesena for example and would be worth monitoring. I've watched lower league stuff in Germany too and could be an area to exploit. Certainly worth considering moving forward. I noticed a number of promising youngsters have been released by Prem clubs over past couple of days. I wonder if any will be on our radar? 21-year-old 6ft 2in CB Malachi Fagan-Walcott been released by Spurs. Former England U16, U17 and U18 International. 21-year-old midfielder Jack Bearne released by Liverpool and caught my eye in the past Had a loan at Kidderminster last season where he got 3 goals and 4 assists from 18 starts and helped them to promotion. 22-year-old midfielder Matt Smith released by Arsenal. Captained their U21s. 20-year-old Mipo Odubeko is a CF released by West Ham and has impressed in youth football, scoring 35 goals at Man Utd and then prolific in the U18s and U21/U23 stuff at West Ham. A decent size and good attributes to develop. Capped by Republic of Ireland at u16, U17 and U21 level. 21-year-old ex Celtic youngster Armstrong Oko-Flex also released by West Ham and caught the eye at times. Capped by England at U16 level, he then switched to the Republic of Ireland where he played at U16, U19 and U21 level . Brad Young released by Aston Villa has impressed me in their youths/development setup in the past and with the right coaching and guidance could be a decent CF. Declan Frith also released by Aston Villa and showed a bit of potential last season with 6 goals and 5 assists in 12 games for Villa U21s. Can play anywhere down the left. Sam McClelland a 21-year-old 6ft 3in centre half released by Chelsea. Captained Chelsea on occasions at youth level, McClelland is also a full Northern Ireland International after also previously appearing at U17, U19 and U21 level. 20-year-old CF Bryan Fiabema released by Chelsea. Not sure what happened last season at Forest Green, but when I've watched him in the past at Chelsea he looked quite promising with decent attributes to develop. 6ft, quick, strong and powerful. 21-year-old versatile player Henry Lawrence released by Chelsea too. A RB/RWB predominantly, he can also do a job on the left. Capped by England at U19 and U20 level. 19-year-old Derrick Abu another RB/RWB released by Chelsea. Former England U17 international. Abu was trialling at Crystal Palace recently, but not sure of situation there or whether they are following up their interest. Manni Norkett was on trial recently at Leicester so not sure if they are taking interest any further, but Norkett has been released by Man Utd. 18-year-old 6ft CF. Also, Jamal Baptiste released and was highly-rated by Moyes and coaches at West Ham during his time there. Two months short of his 16th birthday he became the second-youngest West Ham U23s player in history and became a regular for the U23s whilst only 17 years of age. Represented England at youth level and as a 15-year-old he played against Germany U17s in 2019 and then later went on to feature at U18 and U19 level too. Unfortunately things haven't gone smoothly over the past year or so, but if attitude right and fully recovered and fit he could be worth considering. The youngster Jaevon Dyer playing for the Kinetic Academy and representing Corinthian Casuals this season in the FA Youth Cup (reached 2nd round so far) has caught my eye. Played for Whyteleafe in the National League U19 Alliance last season and helped one of his other sides into the final of the London Saturday U16 Cup Final. Be interesting to see how this lad Jaevon Dyer gets on after stepping up 4 levels.

GBE reduced the size of the pool to sign players from, but the latest changes have in effect increased the pool size.
With that in mind I have highlighted some players below that are eligible with the new rules. The players have produced good data and performances over that past year or so and are examples of some of the realistic(ish!) quality that could potentially now be available to clubs at our level.

Dario gricic. 20 year old attacking midfielder. With the new transfer rules Dario Grgic would be eligible for a transfer after being capped 13 times by Serbia at U16, U17 and U19 level. He is due to complete a transfer to Serbian 2nd tier Prva liga Srbije club Zeleznicar Pancevo (stadium capacity 1,200, average attendance under 700) this summer, but with 15 goals and 9 assists in 36 appearances last season, being 20-year-old and a decent 5ft 11in frame, if we were exploring the foreign market you would hope his name would be flagged up on any data algorithms we would use to identify potential players to scout/sign.

The 21-year-old winger Charlie Reilly at Albion Rovers in Scotland worth scouting or a trial if possible. Looks a good prospect. What a strike this is today by the way!!! 😮😍 Unsurprisingly Reilly ended up winning the Scottish L2 Player of the Year and earning a move to the Scottish Prem with Dundee. ...but their January signing Joe Bevan an 18-year-old CF also caught the eye last season at Albion Rovers. Big strong unit, quick, powerful left foot. Raw, but definitely has something worth monitoring.

A player that’s been catching the eye recently in the Isthmian and youth set ups is young midfielder Teo Kurtaran who would be worth a trial 👀

Seeing as we are trialling players this summer, this is who I think we should consider for a closer look. Harry Williams, 20-year-old, 6ft 4in, Centre Back, Alvechurch. Good pedigree having progressed through the youth ranks at West Brom and on the books at U23 level with Burnley, he also represented England at youth level. Had a short trial with Leicester City last month and is highly-rated. Luke Hall, 20-year-old, Winger/Attacking Midfielder, Worksop Town. Former Sheffield Wednesday youngster and England youth international. The Northern Premier League East Division Young Player of the Season Junior Moses, 17-year-old, Left Back/Wing Back, Cockfosters. Named MOTM in the Middlesex Jeff Ritson Senior Youth Cup final and named Cockfosters 22/23 U18 Players Player of the Year after previously being named the Cockfosters 21/22 U16 Players Player of the Year. His chairman announced that Junior was flying over to Italy for a trial with AC Milan recently, but is now back in the country as I watched him in another cup final recently and it's also since been announced he's signed first team forms for the 23/24 season. Outstanding potential. Billy Mardell-Smith, 17-year-old, Central Midfielder, Hertford Town. Previously on the books at Watford and also involved with England at youth level. Impressed with Hertford Town U19 side that won the 22/23 National League U19 Alliance National Cup. Made his Hertford Town first team debut as a 16-year-old becoming a regular and subsequently awarded Players Player of the Season and Young Player of the Season trophies. Brody Peart, 17-year-old, Forward, Basingstoke Town. Joined the club having previously lived in Germany where he played for Paderborn and Borussia Dortmund at youth level. Peart impressed in the National League U19 Alliance for Basingstoke Town with 12 goals in 19 games, he then impressively stepped up to first level scoring 8 goals and played a crucial role in the club winning a league and cup double. Had a trial with Huddersfield back in November scoring a goal for their U19s and I noticed he appeared for the Brighton U18s as a sub back in April. Caleb Capone, 17-year-old, Winger, Dunstable Town. Prior to moving to England from the United States due to his dad's work he played for Met Oval Academy U16s. Met Oval has placed more youth players in MLS and Int'l academies (50+) in the past four years, than any other club in the region cementing itself as one of the top talent developers in the nation. The season before he left he scored 11 goals in 15 games while playing against teams such as NYCFC, Red Bulls, and Philadelphia Union. Was invited to every USSF National Training Center and made it all the way to the top 240 in the country, but then Covid came so they had to cancel the final summer camp. After linking up with Dunstable Town he scored 20 goals in 13 games for U18s and made first team debut at 16-year-old. Errol Mundle-Smith, 17-year-old, Forward, Croydon. Caught the eye playing for Kinetic Academy and Corinthian-Casuals youth team. Linked up with Croydon in the Southern Counties East Football League towards the end of the season scoring 3 goals from 5 starts. Can play in any attacking position, centrally or wide. Abdoul Gnaou, 17-year-old, Defensive Midfielder, Rushall Olympic. Impressed in youths at Sutton Coldfield Town before switching to Rushall Olympic and then shortly after making his first team debut at 17-year-old. Beck-Ray Enoru, 20-year-old, Winger, Barwell. Was part of the Fox Soccer Academy founded by Christian Fuchs and attached to Aylestone Park in the United Counties League. During his time in the Fox Soccer Academy he trialled with the Barnsley U18s and impressed in the UCL with Aylestone Park scoring 33 goals in 54 appearances. He moved to Barwell and had an outstanding 22/23 season creating 25 assists and scoring 17 goals to be awarded FOUR end of season club awards. Silindile Sisa Tuntulawana, 19-year-old, 5ft 11in, RB/RWB, Grantham Town. Impressed in the National League U19 Alliance with 12 goals in 24 appearances in total for Grantham Town and also scored 5 goals in 21 appearances on loan for Wisbech Town during 22/23. He also started in the final as Grantham Town won the 2022-23 Lincolnshire Senior County Cup. Ben Gelder, 18-year-old, Centre Forward, Goole AFC (was at Hemsworth Miners Welfare). During 22/23 he scored 18 goals in 19 games in the National League U19 Alliance for Hemsworth Miners Welfare and at first team level as a 17-year-old he got 11 goals in 15 starts and 15 goals in 24 total appearances all competitions for the club and also named Non League Yorkshire’s (@nonleaguenorth) November Player of the Month.
Richard Asamoah, 19-year-old, LB/LWB/Winger, Billericay Town (was Waltham Abbey). A Kinetic Academy graduate, Asamoah joined Billericay this summer after previously impressing at Essex Senior League side Woodford Town with 7 goals in 18 games and then later having stepped up with Waltham Abbey where he scored 19 goals from 42 starts. Sol Baugh, 20-year-old, Winger/Attacking Midfielder, Sevenoaks Town. A Kinetic Academy youngster, he caught the eye with 6 goals in 30 starts at Glebe during 21/22 and again during 22/23 with 10 league goals in 30 appearances for a combination of Sevenoaks Town and Waltham Abbey.
Richard Kone, 19-year-old, Centre Forward, Athletic Newham. If visa issues resolved (!!!).

A former France U17, U19 and U20 international, he has kept 12 clean sheets and conceded only 41 goals in 37 appearances for French 3rd tier Championnat National club Le Mans (average attendance 4,304). Goncalo Tabuaco, 22-year-old, 6ft 2in, Goalkeeper, CD Lugo. Joined Spanish 3rd tier club Lugo (average attendance 2,818 during 22/23 in 2nd tier) this summer on a free transfer after playing in the Portuguese 2nd tier where he kept 14 clean sheets in 53 games. Represented Portugal at U17, U18 and U21 level. Lazar Carevic, 24-year-old, 6ft 5in, Goalkeeper, Vojvodina. I don't know how realistic this is because I'm not exactly so familiar with the Serbian league, but a promising player who has caught the eye with his data and worth scouting/making enquiries. Made one full international appearance for Montenegro and also appearances at U17, U19 and U21 level. Conceded only 76 goals in 74 games and kept 26 clean sheets in his homeland for top flight side OFK Grbalj. He was then signed at the start of 17/18 season by Barcelona to play in their U19 team and stayed in Spain for 5 years before departing in time to join his new club on a free transfer ahead of the 22/23 season. During 22/23 he conceded only 33 goals in 36 games and kept 14 clean sheets for top flight Super liga Srbije club Vojvodina (average attendance 3,896). Mads Larsen, 21-year-old, 6ft, Central Midfielder, Esbjerg fB. Represented Denmark 13 times at a combination of U16, U17 and U18 level, he is currently at Danish 3rd tier club Esbjerg fB (average attendance 2,764) where he was the youngest debutant in the history of the club at 16 years and two months and appointed captain at 19-year-old. He has 11 goals and 10 assists in 95 appearances at a variety of levels including 1 goal in 8 appearances in the top flight Superligaen.

"Clubs in Leagues One and Two will be able to sign up to two overseas players per season who do not meet the regular Governing Body Endorsement (GBE) criteria, which have been approved by the Home Office, opening up the European market for Joey Barton and his recruitment team at Bristol Rovers should they wish to proceed down that route." www.bristolpost.co.uk/sport/football/fa-confirm-new-transfer-rules-8522566This is an excellent article to understand the new rules around signing overseas players.
Eric Hottmann, 23-year-old, 6ft 1in, Centre Forward, Energie Cottbus. He scored 15 goals and got 3 assists from 36 games at U17 level and 21 goals and 15 assists at U19 level for Vfb Stuttgart. Scored 8 goals in 23 games between U16-U19 international level for Germany. Last season he got 14 goals and 7 assists in 39 games for Energie Cottbus in one of the German 4th tiers. Worth scouting.
Eric Hottmann is now a free agent and would be worth a trial for clubs at this level if he was willing. Great pedigree. Attachment Deleted

He looks very raw, but will be worth monitoring the progress of Laken Torres at Chesterfield. Had a prolific 21/22 season with the club's U18’s and U21’s that saw him score 51 goals and named Youth Team Player of the Year. Has recently been in or around first team setup and worth keeping an eye on.

Bram Franken a 22-year-old CM/CDM playing for Quick Boys in the Dutch 3rd tier would be a lad worth monitoring. Highly-rated coming through the youth setup at AZ Alkmaar where he scored 30 goals in 119 appearances between u17-U21 level, he also appeared 19 times for Netherlands at a combination of U17 and U18 level.

I'm sure he'll have other interest and I'm not sure how realistic or circumstances of his release from Juventus' Next Gen team in the 3rd tier Serie C, but a player with potential to develop and a possible sell-on value is 20-year-old 6ft 2in defender Felix Nzouango Bikien. Maybe Eddie and Joey could charm and convince him to make his next step in the English 3rd tier? If the internet is to be believed (rolls eyes) he was earning £780 per week in Juve Next Gen setup. Represented France every level from U16-U20.
This 22-year-old 5ft 11in RB/RWB Rafael Fonseca (aka Bandeira) at Portuguese 2nd tier club Academico Viseu (average attendance 1,916) is also another ex Juventus (and Sporting Lisbon) youngster with a potential sell-on value worth scouting further. Scored 2 goals and created 9 assists in 44 appearances during his time in Juve U19's and last season he got 2 goals and 6 assists in 38 appearances for Academico Viseu. Represented Portugal at U18 level.
