Still expecting us to be first in the queue for Alex Hartridge and Harry Kite. Nicky Cadden would be a good pick-up if we're planning to switch to 3/5atb. Hopefully get a few good loans in too - I'd like Chippenham-born Spurs forward Jude Soonsup-Bell if he's available or Brentford's ex-Swansea youngster Iwan Morgan.

Movement at the stadium today, first signing signed and sealed. Coming in for a fee, so a good start to the window ! Shop was shut so they could do the photos press release etc I’m lead to believe! Surely an announcement today if this was true? MC - any more info on who it is? so the poster was misinformed I guess. Or they delayed the announcement to avoid a clash with the wally with no brolly / the prat with no mac last night!

"We've done a lot of work, data-led, on every league across the world," George told BBC Radio Lincolnshire. "We've definitely got targets - there's some random ones in terms of countries and nationalities but it's an area where we've got to find an edge." "We've got to spot them before everybody else or spot them in a pond in which not so many other people are fishing. "Global recruitment gives us the opportunity to maybe find an edge against our competitors. We're just trying to close that gap on those with more budget above us." Following on from my post on the Accounts thread, if the Reported average weekly League One wage of £4,753 a week is accurate, then all of these nine following players I mentioned recently in this thread have a reported combined weekly wage of about the same as one player in League One's weekly wage of £4,753. Quite incredible really. No wonder Lincoln City are looking further afield to try and close the gap on clubs with bigger budgets. Attachment Deleted

I hope George Friend is looking outside of the UK! Been some cracking talent in the lower leagues of Europe and beyond posted in here. This lad Kelvin John used to live in England when he attended the prestigious Brooke House College. Worth enquiries now he's been released by Genk 👀 View AttachmentKamiel Van De Perre also being released from the Jong Genk side, although apparently the players decision as he wants a new challenge. Reportedly earning €750 pw at Genk. Highly-rated. Attachment Deletedx.com/scoutedftbl/status/1623351601527242759

Iirc in the last week in January ‘17, Matt Taylor’s last game we played Swindon at the Mem and the build up included Colkett saying that after his loan had ended and he went to Swindon. It was after we thrashed Northampton 4-1 (?) and then played Swindon. We beat them 1-0 to be on the edge of challenging. Stuart S had a great game and stopped Swindon playing out from the back and they didn’t know what to do. Most one-sided 1-0 I’d seen for some time. A week later MT had gone and we had Luke James in to replace. 😢😢😢 Doh! UTG!

A centre forward I have admired for a while is Charlie McNeill at Manchester United. A quick glance will show a couple of loans that weren't prolific at Newport and Stevenage, but the fact both Graham Coughlan and Steve Evans signed him is another good sign for me. Both have a good eye for a player. Game time was limited this season at Stevenage with Evans commenting: "Our own players have been producing some brilliant performances, so it has been difficult for them", but if you look at his Newport spell last season, he did show some nice touches and link up play and scored highly per 90 for Expected Assists (xA), Chances Created, Successful Dribbles, Blocks and Possession Won Final 3rd. With minutes and the right guidance McNeill has the potential to carve out a long career as a good centre forward and goalscorer. I've watched a lot of the U18/U21/U23 stuff and McNeill was always a good size and shape (can still develop and get stronger), technically excellent, two good feet and can finish well with either foot or head. Prolific at all age group level stuff and previous to joining United he scored an impressive 110 goals with 38 assists in 72 games for the Manchester City U15 side. The step up to senior football is vast, but he has all the attributes. Initial reports after his loan recall suggested he would he staying at Utd, but If a club at League One level could get Charlie NcNeill on a permanent deal for a reasonable amount it could prove to be smart long term business. Two loans where he hasn't particularly pulled up trees might actually open up an opportunity to pounce. Charlie McNeill is a player I have rated highly since first watching him in the U18s at Manchester United and now he has been released I'm hoping we make a strong attempt to sign him, although I'm sure there will be plenty of clubs interested in securing that potential to develop.
