Now Barton has left it might be worth scouting 22-year-old former Northern Ireland U17, U19 and U21 attacking midfielder Chris Conn-Clarke at Altrincham. Another couple of goals to add to his collection yesterday! 😍 Signed for Peterborough Attachment Deleted

"We've done a lot of work, data-led, on every league across the world," George told BBC Radio Lincolnshire. "We've definitely got targets - there's some random ones in terms of countries and nationalities but it's an area where we've got to find an edge." "We've got to spot them before everybody else or spot them in a pond in which not so many other people are fishing. "Global recruitment gives us the opportunity to maybe find an edge against our competitors. We're just trying to close that gap on those with more budget above us." Lincoln City are looking abroad for potential new signings, CEO Liam Scully has confirmed. In an interview with BBC Radio Lincolnshire’s Red Imps Club podcast, the Imps chief executive said there are “looking” at a number of targets beyond the British Isles. What Has Liam Scully Said? Speaking to Michael Hortin, the Lincoln City CEO said: “We are looking at a number of players from abroad, there’s a few things that are bubbling along there at the moment.” He added that “by the close of the week” he was hoping one or two pieces of business would be agreed. Which Countries are Lincoln City Looking at? BBC Radio Lincolnshire’s sport editor Michael Hortin understands that the club are looking at Scandinavia, and potentially even South America. The Scandinavian link is something that has been floating around Lincoln in the lead up to the summer transfer window. City director of football Jez George said in a previous episode of the Red Imps Club podcast that the SkyBet League One outfit are looking towards the area, with him jetting off to see games in their leagues. Business Close to Being Done: Alongside the intrigue into Scully’s comments about foreign markets, he also teased that there might be one or two deals completed by the end of this week. In comes after Lincoln City sold wing-back Lasse Sorensen to Huddersfield Town for an undisclosed fee understood by BBC Radio Lincolnshire to be up to £500,000. It also appears that out of contract duo Ted Bishop and Danny Mandroiu will not be re-signing with the club, after the City chief said it would be “unlikely” that either would feature for the side again. Interesting Developments – Opinion: Looking in from the outside, the words of both CEO Liam Scully and journalist Michael Hortin are certainly interesting developments. They add more colour to the existing rumour mill around Lincoln dipping into foreign transfer markets for summer signings this time around. It will be an interesting few weeks of following any potential moves into the LNER Stadium as the 2024/25 campaign draws ever closer. thedeck.news/lincoln-city-looking-abroad-for-new-signings/

23-year-old Central Midfielder Ryan Stirk at Walsall is a player I like who has impressed over the past couple of years. He had a promising loan spell with Mansfield and then impressed last season at Bromley with two consecutive club Player of the Month awards. This season he has 2 goals, 5 assists, 2 key passes per game, averages 2.7 tackles won per game, and 6 balls recovered per game. Capped by Wales from u16-u21 level. View AttachmentIsaac Hutchinson been outstanding at Walsall these past 2 seasons too. Biog wrong btw he's 6ft 2in. View Attachment 🤞

The Asian continent has plenty of eligible talent with the recent Elite Significant Contribution (ESC) rule that are worth scouting too... Yu Hirakawa, 22-year-old, 5ft 7in, Winger, Machida Zelvia. Represented Japan at youth international level. Currently playing in the Japanese 2nd tier, he caught the eye during 22/23 with 7 goals and 4 assists in 34 appearances. With his attributes could possibly do a job as a wing back too.
Fuckers. Bristol City have submitted an offer to acquire the services of Japanese winger Yu Hirakawa.

I thought 6'3" GK Zach Jeacock showed a bit of potential at Gloucester City and worth inviting into training for a closer evaluation if he hasn't already got something lined up after being released by Birmingham City. View AttachmentJeacock signed for Lincoln

Olaf Kobacki and Karol Czubak two very good players playing for Arka Gdynia in Poland. Kobacki reportedly earning around £1,170 per week and Czubak £1,470 per week. If there was any realistic prospect of signing either they would he worth serious consideration. View AttachmentKobacki signed for Sheffield Wednesday
