Another goal for Dulwich's Reise Allassani today (14 goals in 14 games), one for Basingstoke's Sam Smart and 2 goals for Crusaders' winger Gavin Whyte. All very promising youngsters. Apparently Whyte's 2nd was particularly impressive having run half of the pitch to score.I doubt he'd have controlled the ball as well on our pitch - theirs looks impressive for mid-winter.

They've got an artificial 3G pitch apparently.

Perhaps Abo Eisa is in our sights? His 2nd goal against Oxford City back in November was a good finish.

George Thomas from Leicester? Followed his progress since he played well against us in a friendly for Coventry as a 16 year old. Scored against us last season. Can play as a winger or behind the striker or as a striker if needed so very adaptable. I would like him as well as Bodin but if we lose Bodin in Jan and need a stop gap then would be a great option to see us through until the summer. Wonder whether he has bigger fish to try now though as apparently is doing well in the development side.

Would welcome him here with open arms, but like you say it might be difficult now he is impressing in their development side. Worth an enquiry though.

Apparently 20-year-old former Fulham U19/U23 captain Josh Smile has been impressing at Chippenham since joining in October. Fulham paid a fee to Oxford to sign the combative versatile midfielder, having previously also been on the books of Southampton. I've not seen him myself, but heard and read good things. Probably worth a closer look.

Another Italian lower division player worth scouting is 21-year-old left winger/forward Davide Di Molfetta at third tier Vicenza. The former Italian U16/U17/U18/U19 international came through the youth ranks at AC Milan, captaining them on numerous occasions, and made a first team appearance for them in Serie A as an 18-year-old in 2015.

Jack Payne and Harry Forrester have impressed against Rovers this season. It could be worth making an offer to their parent clubs this January.
Steven Caulker has left QPR, would make a good signing if he doesn't want too much per week. Obviously ex C*ty but he is a good CB and only 25.

I would love all three, but Payne cost Huddersfield about £600k, signed a 3 year contract and is still highly-rated there apparently. Caulker is rumored to be in talks/agreed a deal with Celtic. Forrester is the most realistic one of the three, although he signed a season long loan deal at Wimbledon and I'm not sure whether that can be broken or not. He would be a good signing though and I wanted him here in the summer.

Rangers are looking to get rid of forrester and a tempting offer might see him off. I see your point about Payne but he was bought before Huddersfield were promoted to the top flight and the step is so great that he has little chance of making the first 11, though I imagine there would be championship sides after him. Jordan Jones from Kilmarnock is another I'd like to see join the club. Still only 23 and recently made his debut for the Northern Irish national team. Ex FGR winger Elliot Frear has also been impressing for Motherwell.

Chaps it’s okay playing the Gas manager game but Hani has looked down the side of the sofa 🛋 and you are only allowed free transfers😂

We will wait and see what happens in January. Not all free transfers are bad. Some successful business has been done bringing in Taylor, Bodin, Brown and Lines on a free.

Ex FGR winger Elliot Frear has also been impressing for Motherwell. It's worth enquiring about both Payne and Forrester, the worst that could happen is they say no. Like you suggested, Rangers were looking to get rid of Forrester, but not sure if the situation has changed since they sacked their manager. If you don't ask, you don't get. As for Jordan Jones, I've read and heard good things, but the only action I've seen of him was scoring at Celtic.

You and pirate are very well informed, and come up with good targets, however unless we get a decent figure for Billy and that is given to D.C. Poundland seems our choice of shopping mall, the chimp says a derisory offer of 200k has been accepted, now 500 K for the snake and Billy would be a kick in the proverbials! Think you two should send your ideas to will Dubey to look at.

Didn't the chairman say we turnt down an offer for Bodin in the summer, can't recall a figure but i'm sure it was more than 200k. Would rather keep him and let him go in the summer for nowt if that's all we're offered.

This is probably an unrealistic suggestion, but I'd love to see Crewe left winger George Cooper sign. He's got 14 assists so far this season and is a class act. Sadly I expect he is destined for bigger and better things.
