Worth making a cheeky bid for Bryn Morris at Shrewsbury? The former England youth captain has only started 4 games from 14 since returning from injury. He is EXACTLY the sort of defensive midfielder our side is crying out for. Unused sub again today.

I see Lee Shaw got his 28th goal of the season today for Grantham and young winger Sam Smart got his 14th league goal for Basingstoke. This is what the lad Smart is capable of...

Bromley's 24-year-old central midfielder Josh Rees is a player that has impressed this season and should be kept an eye on. He has scored 12 goals in all competitions and got about 6 or 7 assists - form that saw him rewarded with an England C cap in October. He came through the youth ranks at Arsenal (promoted to reserves at at 17) and also made an appearance for Nottingham Forest in the Championship. He has represented England at U16 and U17 level.

Thing is though, having a player on loan gives us that much more chance of signing on a perm if he gets released. Could also attract other clubs if he does well but thats football. What eats at me is DC signing players on loan and not playing them.

And with Sweeney contract ending in June- we may have a chance on this one based on the logic you suggest. Ideally, we want to have 3 of our 4/5 CBs sorted. But worse case we’ve only got 2. We don’t want to have as big a shopping list come May- and that’s regardless of what division we’re in. I’d of hoped that we can loan Rollin out to a conference/ league 2 side out to give him some experience too.

Even though he only joined them in the summer, they might be prepared to let him go on a permanent. I think he cost them about £350k-£400k.

Enzio Boldewijn might be a decent signing. Impressed against us last year in the FA cup and got an assist in the replay for Crawley. From what I've seen of him he might be worth enquiring about and at 25 is a good age, plays on the right too.
Coventry CB Jordan Willis has only a year and a half left on his contract so could be tempted to make an offer for him. He's a bit like Tom Lockyer in the fact that he has played a lot of games despite being fairly young, saw him the other day in the cup against Stoke in the cup and he was very impressive, has a goal in him too which we currently lack in our CB's.

Jordan Willis is a good defender. Not the tallest at 5ft 11in, but is still decent in the air. Reads the game well and decent in possession. My first choices would probably be Lloyd Jones, Israel Puerto or Ben Heneghan, but Willis is a good shout. www.coventrytelegraph.net/sport/football/transfer-news/coventry-city-skipper-michael-doyle-14125970

If we are going to look at the the Spanish third division then CB Dani Lopez from UCAM Murcia would be my preference, Guinean striker Sory kaba from Elche would also be someone I would sign.

Oldham have been linked with Lloyd Jones, apparently Liverpool are prepared to let him leave on a permanent. Not seen Dani Lopez, but Puerto is an excellent centre back. Capped by Spain at every level up to U21, he is strong, quick, good in the air, decent on the ball. Sory Kaba is a good player and one I have on a list of lower league Spanish players as potentials. He recently made his international debut for Guinea and is quick, strong and a decent finisher. He looks like the sort of player that could do well over here. Other players I like are Jurgi Oteo, Fran Pastor, Kevin Lacruz and Dani Aquino

He's only started 11 games in all competitions this season. Another player i noticed that hasn't played much is Jamie Ward at Nottingham Forest. Had a decent loan spell at Burton last season. And a surprising one is Anthony Pilkington at Cardiff. Only started 2 games all season. Doubt he'd join us though unfortunately.

oh god please don't start that off again 🤤 we’ve got Smith? We forgive his misdemeanours! Plus we are actually close to wales so that might appeal! I’d love his goals that’s for sure! I can see him and Ellis working well!
