Matty Lund, Stevie Mallan and Ched Evans all struggling to get playing time in the Championship. Ched Evans- no thanks. Why not? He's an improvement on what we have and would score goals IMHO.

When I mentioned Lloyd Jones, Israel Puerto and Ben Heneghan as potential centre back signings I forgot to mention Dorian Dervite at Bolton. The 29-year-old former France U21 is a left footer, 6ft 3in, good on the ball and commanding in the air. He's only started 7 times in all competitions this season and is out of contract at the end of the season. Would be ideal for us and a very good signing if affordable.
Also got the potential for a goal or two in him...

He scored 7 goals and created 3 assists from 21 starts last season for a woeful Chesterfield side who didn't create many goalscoring opportunities. He'll score goals at this level given the chances.

As I've already said, he scored 7 goals and created 3 assists from 21 starts in all comps last season for a poor Chesterfield side who didn't create many goalscoring opportunities. You say 0 goals in 7 for Sheffield Utd, but he's been kept out of the team by Billy Sharp and the Championship's second top scorer Leon Clarke, with only 1 of those apps a start and the rest sub apps amounting to 121 minutes of football. He'll score goals at this level given the chances.

I respect yours too and I don't think we'll sign him in this window either, as DC has already said he is looking to sign a winger, a defensive midfielder and centre back, but if the opportunity presents itself in the summer I personally wouldn't rule it out, although there would be several I would target ahead of him.

For about £350,000 we could get christian doidge,a target man who knows where the goal is. Maybe a part exchange with rory going to forest green? I like rory but it would be good business in my view.

Do you think they would accept £350k? There is talk in the press of a fee in the region of £1mil. I do like Doidge, but there are nagging doubts in my mind about his lack of pace and ability to step up and score at this level.

Hes a big lad who knows how to score goals im not sure pace is an issue for the type of player he is.

I think DC likes him as he tried to sign him before, but he turned us down in favour of signing for Dagenham. If he does step up I'll be interested to see how he gets on.

Hartlepool's Louis Laing is a centre back better than National League level IMHO. The 24-year-old 6ft 2in former Sunderland youth made an appearance in the Premier League and has played in the SPL for both Motherwell and Inverness. Capped by England from U16 to U19 level. Even though Hartlepool as a unit have struggled a bit this season, 27-year-old Jonathan Franks has impressed. When playing from the left wing he has scored 5 goals and created 3 assists from 15 appearances. Capped by England from U16 to U20 level, he's two footed and can play on either wing, appeared once in the Premier League for Middlesbrough and has played 27 times in the Championship and 47 times in the SPL. Hartlepool have to find around £200,000 by January 25, in order to fulfil their financial requirements for the month, so I'm sure they would be willing to listen to offers for Franks and Laing, with both out of contract at the end of the season.

I'd love to see how Fylde's all time record goalscorer Danny Rowe would get on at a higher level. Apparently Oldham had a £50,000 bid rejected in the summer. The 27-year-old holds the ball up well and scores all types of goals - headers, tap ins, 30 yarders, penalties, freekicks.
As an 11-year-old he was apparently scoring something like 100 goals a season before he joined Manchester United from Preston as a 12-year-old for a fee of £136,000. United released him at the age of 16 and he drifted into non-league, playing for a few clubs, but at Fylde he has really come into his own and has been in nothing short of sensational goalscoring form ever since.
He finished the 14/15 season with 31 goals in all competitions, in 15/16 he got 24 goals and last season he got an incredible 50 goals. So far this season he has scored 19 goals (including a couple against Wigan) from 31 appearances and also chipped in with 8 assists.

Jack Payne and Harry Forrester have impressed against Rovers this season. It could be worth making an offer to their parent clubs this January. Payne recalled from his loan early.

Is Payne the one who played for Oxford ? if so, he'd be a great signing but not the position DC is looking for. payne and Otzumer both prefer central behind strikers I'd say.

We wouldn't be able to get him anyway I don't reckon, probably lined up for a loan to a Championship side. He's a class act.

Jordan Graham has only made 4 sub apps on loan at Fulham from Wolves this season, although he did score 2 goals in an EFL Trophy start against Crawley. Perhaps Wolves could recall him and send on loan to us? Can play on either wing and has 7 assists in 19 appearances in the Championship previously. Recalled early from loan.

Already played for Fulham and Wolves this season so can't play for a third club. He's out of contract in the summer though and with Wolves looking like they will be playing premier league football next season they might be willing to sell.
