Recalled early from loan. Already played for Fulham and Wolves this season so can't play for a third club. He's out of contract in the summer though and with Wolves looking like they will be playing premier league football next season they might be willing to sell. Didn't realise he'd also played for Wolves this season. Bit of a farce that rule. Would be decent if we could get him in for next season.

20-year-old Finland U21 winger Santeri Hostikka could be worth scouting and an enquiry. Currently playing for FC Lahti in his home country. Out of contract on 31.12.2018.

Jack Payne and Harry Forrester have impressed against Rovers this season. It could be worth making an offer to their parent clubs this January. Payne recalled from his loan early. Signed for Blackburn, the move was all lined up.
Another Oxford midfielder I wouldn't mind us signing is Alex Mowatt who is on loan from Barnsley, played over 100 games for Leeds.

I like Mowatt and suggested somewhere in this thread it might be worth making Barnsley an offer. He was Leeds United 13/14 Young Player of the Year and their 14/15 Players' Player of the Year and Player of the Year.

Chris Cadden could be an option, the 21 year old midfielder has a very bright future ahead of him and was linked with English clubs in the summer. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chris_CaddenIt might be worth taking a look at Nathan Ralph from Woking if we want to provide competition for Brown on a permanent basis. Ralph has been linked with a couple of league one clubs including Bury and Oxford and is one I can see making a move up the divisions. Woking turned down an offer from Bury with Charlton, Oxford, Doncaster and Dundee also interested in him. A very talented left back and with his contract up in the summer he looks set for a move to the football league.

Easy to see why Sercombe was overlooked with Ledson, Mowatt, Payne and Rothwell in the team. Their loss is our gain I suppose.

I like the look of Eddie Clarke at Tranmere. The 19-year-old left back is so quick and an excellent crosser of the ball. I reckon he'll go far in the game.

They also had John Lundstram last season before selling him to Sheffield United in the summer.

Saw a video of a young Arsenal player called Eddie Nketiya last night. Know anything about him Pirate? Very promising England youth striker. I've watched him a couple of times this season and saw him score a couple against Man Utd U23's on Monday - the first goal particularly impressive, he shielded the ball from the defender on the half way line, spins him, uses his strength to hold him off and runs through on goal and calmly slots it away. Scored a couple against Norwich in the league cup and has played for Arsenal in the Europa League. Quality player.

His power was what impressed me. Very much like Jason Roberts

23 year old Motherwell winger Craig Tanner has 6 goals and 7 assists in 25 league appearances this season, if we are looking for a winger on a permanent deal then surely we can do no worse than him, saw him play for Plymouth last year and he caught my eye.

He's a very promising player, whether Wenger would loan him out to League One is another matter. I could see him scoring goals in a league like the Dutch top flight.

get Wheeler in - obviously found the step from L2 to Champ too much (now). Time for Ollie to do us a favour ! GetWestLondon's QPR expert Phil Spencer now says his future could lie away from Loftus Road. He said: "It’s been a tough start to David Wheeler’s career at QPR. "Despite a couple of promising performances, the right-midfielder has played just nine minutes since the start of December, and with no news of an injury, it appears that he simply hasn’t done enough to feature. "Wheeler is 26 years old so is arguably in his prime, meaning that if he isn’t featuring regularly for the first team, his future will likely be away from the club. "Whether Holloway will look to offload him in January remains to be seen, but it certainly isn’t a move that’s worked out."

This is probably an unrealistic suggestion, but I'd love to see Crewe left winger George Cooper sign. He's got 14 assists so far this season and is a class act. Sadly I expect he is destined for bigger and better things. Peterborough have completed the signing of George Cooper for an undisclosed fee from Crewe Alexandra on a three-and-half year contract. Quality player. Good signing.

Very good signing, their chairman says they have spent circa £500k so far this transfer window!
Crewe just about to announce a signing...would love them to get Moore off our books!!

They obviously prefer the thriving metropolis that is Peterborough, or maybe more likely we are tighter than a rats ear with the contracts?
As we have no scouting system to identify early enough to get good players on the cheap, we have to rely on young loans which is hit or miss, injury ravaged or dropping down the leagues.
When you get to this level money talks
